How will this be handled? Thinking about it blondin has answered this previously. I say this because for a long time now I've been planning on giving upall my plots on the mainland to consolidate into one on ursula, and I wouldn't have been planning that if Mr B hadn't said it was going to be ok. eta and in his responses to me a couple of pages ago, he said comparable land size.. not plot sizes..

My question about whether parcel owners / classified posters get notified when their text gets caught by the wordfilter after a wordfilter change (remember, it was said to be "very flexible" is still unanswered  |

I thought they were going to close down this forum yesterday. I'm glad that they haven't yet because I have another question. I do not have a child avatar so this doesn't apply to me but I was curious.......... if someone is an adult and age verified but uses a child avatar will they be able to go to the adult ursula regions? To visit I mean. Or to shop or whatever. I'm assuming that they don't have an adult business with their child avis. I don't know the rules really but don't people get in trouble for taking their child avatars to adult areas? Someone may have already brought this up but if so I missed that post among the thousands here |

Ok, I was a bad girl and let Sindy's scanners run until they filled up... here are my results: Naughty Furniture store (Under an alt's name) This is the store that will have to move, along with some art of mine scanned avatars = 492 no payment info on file = 317 payment info on file = 7 payment info used = 168 Main Clothing Store scanned avatars = 443 no payment info on file = 244 payment info on file = 5 payment info used = 194 Shape Store (another alt) scanned avatars = 453 no payment info on file = 237 payment info on file = 6 payment info used = 210 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Seems from looking at my stats that a lot of customers of the adult products do indeed wish anonymity, as well as these places do draw larger numbers. I'm glad I was already in a position to be able to look more closely at how my own traffic would be affected since I had decided that my naughtier stuff would be sold under an alt name. Hopefully these numbers will give an idea of how mixed use parcels may be affected. The naughty furniture store is only marketed as a place for adult products, though i have non-adult product there those products are not even advertised. The main clothing store has bits and pieces of everything, random fun builds buildings a couple shapes and of course clothing. Its advertising and keywords are very much a mixed bag of pg and mature type terms. The shape store is a test on how a single product type store did. The only advertisements are for the shapes and words commonly associated with shapes. I did not think at the time to put more scanners in my gallery nor in my club/candy-garden/garden/maze. Hopefully that helps everybody  |

Well, I for one can forgive the over emotional and frustrated comparisons- There are *so* many questions unanswered, so many points undefined, and so many things wrong, with so *little* feedback from LL that it would be a miracle if there *wasn't* noise and Godwin posts. In the absence of information, and the presence of a need to *do* something, you get noise. In the absence of information, you cannot plan, you cannot make a valid argument, you cannot say anything except "I don't like the sound of this, and you should *tell* everyone what your plan is, so they can make an *informed* decision about it." There are only so many ways to say that. Also, it didn't help that literally every day 3-5 people would see this thread for the first time, and give voice to questions, opinions, and suggestions that had already been brought up a dozen times or more. That's not *their* fault, by the way. We all did the same thing when *we* found out about it! But I submit that this is probably a *tactic* by LL to keep us from forming any kind of unified opposition. Keep us in the dark, spoon-feed us dribbles of information, and let the residents find out in dribs and drabs, to keep objections to a steady trickle, rather than the tidal wave they would likely get if they *did* announce this at Log-In. We're being played, people. we *know* we're being played. But it's not as if we have any other course of action except going with the flow and see what happens next. All we can really do is be ready when the shit hits the fan. ^V^ |

Since Blondin works part time, most days he was not present in the forum, and as the days passed, he got farther and farther behind on his reading. (Not his fault.) Those Residents who had diligently read the thousands of preceding posts took to answering the questions of new people who joined the thread. I sometimes spent up to 3 hours a day trying to follow the conversations and determine what answers Blondin was providing. This is a terrible loss of time for each affected Resident. I note that the current thread is presently at 4,676 posts. Participation in the threads has included input, feedback, questions (mostly unanswered), infighting, and the presentation of logical alternative paths that SL could take. Blondin answered a few of our questions here and there, but each time an official written update or statement came out from SL or other staff, it would contradict information that Blondin had told us. It is facile for you to say that you think the move isn't unpopular because you aren't seeing IMs, support calls, or tickets. Am I to assume that SL intentionally shunted us into an impotent forum thread where we could be ignored? If I was supposed to be harrassing you or other Lindens with IMs, support calls, and tickets all this time, Blondin never said a word about it. From your comment to Tal, it sounds to me like none of our weeks of intensive forum input has been counted as legitimate representation. Blondin said earlier that age verified child avatars could go to Ursula. Same rules about no sexual ageplay though. Translation: they expected more than 'extreme' content by the time he said that, as your run-of-the-mill store is not going to be there, right?

If a resident is either Payment info on file or payment info used or Aristotle age verified, they can go to the Adult sims, regardless of the avatar that are wearing. A child avatar is NOT banned from being in an Adult or Mature sim merely by virtue of being a child avatar. They can't participate in SEX, and should not enter a clearly sexually themed venue, but they couldm for example, ride their bike down the main street in Ursula city. Which I plan to do, in my own child form. Ride my bike there, that is.
