Ok to throw my two cents in, I used to rent vendor space at this club.

I stopped after having sold items to them "for prizes" at unreal low prices.

Didnt know they were reselling them at a profit in another area untill a different party contacted me and told me "we sold all your items, can we buy more at the same deal from you?"
Needless to say I wasnt happy to be deceived the first time around and when I expressed this I got an "oh sorry thought you knew".

I left my vendor spot shortly after as soon as the rent expired.

I went to the club a bit later and wandered thru the freebie/cheapie area.
There I saw some jewelry I had made that was never given away as a freebie in a box with a bunch of stuff for sale.

I IM'd her and told her please remove it as it was not meant to be a freebie.
After a long wait for an answer (she was online at the time) she said "Ok". That's it, no apology.

I went back to check a couple days later and found the box in question was now in another box of goodies. Therefore you cannot check contents.

Has it been removed? No idea

As I just started a month ago, I've gone around visiting a bunch of places that had boxes of free stuff (or for L$1)... and also wandered around searching various stores as it's all new to me.

There are other popular clubs also selling free stuff. And random stores scattered around too. Clothing, poses, or even buildings, depending on where you look. There's no need to name anyone because it's not just one or a few people doing it.

Well then its entirely your fault if someone resells Snapzilla behind your back. Sheesh n00b

No one has yet explained how selling a pose that should be free to a noob for L$100 is helping them. I'm really interested to see HOW exactly you think that is helping. Or honest or selfless in ANY way whatsoever.

I am interested as to why this person hasn't got the balls to come on here and defend herself; she has other people do it for her.

A lot of people have gone to no transfer. It's one solution and the only one we have atm. It's not a good solution. The idea behind a lot of people making free, full perm items was for them to get passed around, broken down and analyzed, played with, and in general make a new person's SL better.

If I have to make that item no transfer to keep other people from selling it, then it can't be freely passed around. It makes it harder for some cool object to make the rounds thus meaning that fewer people will see it.

The idea behind most of the free, full perm items where that they would get passed around alot, copied alot and used in the ways that I mentioned. What happens sometimes is that unethical people sell them. Then people stop making them.

It doesn't actually hurt the content creators... since they were giving them away for free.. but it hurts the person who pays for it.. especially in this day of tightening $L.

I'd really like to see us get some more options.

In all honesty,the creators need to goto said club,find their items and screenshot them. Put in a report with the Lindens and have them either A: perm removed from there or B: have her removed.

What she is doing is illegal,it is copyright infringement. You can take matters into your own hands and contact the Lindens about this matter if you want to go the legal route. Content created in this game has copyright laws attached to them and infringing them is a big no no.

If you the creators have asked several times for her to remove the items and she has not or has then put them back out ,then you need to seriosuly do something legal about this. It IS writen in the TOS that a creator HAS rights to their material.

as for the animations yes they were all removed and she said sorry to christian about this long ago if he finds it in a vendor forsale she removes it and did apologies and you know this your just trying to bring up an old arguement that was resolved long ago

as for the other animations again when she was informed they were removed end of story but you continue you go on cause you just like to hear yourself. many of you have nothing to do with this and want to post to brinng up a point that was resolved on page 2.

jade jensen thanks for stating the same shit that was on the last 13 pages why dont you go back to bumping peoples creations down on new products page to keep your creations on top as your known for doing.

chirstian go back to selling the dances that are out there for free you not even putting them out as freebies your selling them for 200-300 each and they weere removed months ago

On the contrary, anytime you see this happening and you have proof, then do pursue it.

I would suggest first IMing the content creator and alerting them. I guess if someone is reselling the default Poser poses you could send an email with proof to Curious Labs... sooner or later they are going to get pissed about that.

If it seems like a small and innocent thing, then I would IM the owner and talk to them about it. If it's big and seems ongoing, then I would Abuse Report them and shame them.

Shaming sucks, but until we get some real enforcement of copyright and fair use, SL is still just a playpen.

Make sure you include the website, k? Oh, BitTorrent doesn't count as free, it just counts as theft. Though you aren't very clear on what theft is anyway, so why am I bothering to clarify.

She knows she is wrong, she has been caught at it yet again, and now she will backtrack all over herself and justify what she is doing. It's all well and good that she is removing the stuff - how about refunding the money back to the customers she sold it to? That would be the ultimate sign of good faith from poor, misunderstood Jenna.

I don't know which animations in particular you are talking about. I have not read this entire thread, someone just told me about it. However if this is revolving around the animations in the Promenade dance machines I created then I am solely to responsible for it.

I acquired them for free from a yard sale and was under the impression they were free. I bundled them in the dance devices with the same permissions I got them with. They were "bundled free animations" and not what was being sold. The dance machine is what was being sold.

At least half of the dances I have the original source material from, which I am sure was not created by you, Mr. Midnight. They were not free but are also not IP of Mr. Midnight. I will pay you the upload fees for the animations plus 10K for you to just stop your complaining. It is not my fault your items ended up in a yard sale because of a glitch in the system. And I am sorry it happened to you, I would be upset if it happened to me too. However, I would be much more sympathetic if your animations were actually original works.

If this is solely what you are upset about then all issues should be addressed to me and not to Jenna.
