There are other ways to handle the issue in question. You can actually attempt to contact her, and please dont tell me u have actually come to her to address the issue. HERE IS AN IDEA....... If there are errors.. GET IT FIXED. Wow what a concept! There are TONS of glitches in the system. Not only the ones you speak of. How do people think things get corrected? It never ceases to amaze me the sheer number of people who crawl out of the woodwork to defend what is nothing more than sheer thievery. The cache of pathetic excuses for poor behavior and despicable ethics is shallow, so we here the same tired, patently false excuses over and over: "Its a game." "Everyone else does it." "They're my friend, so I don't believe you."

This is not the first time she's been caught doing this. No doubt it will not be the last.

Frankly, it has to stop. It will and does hurt SL to have people gouging new SLers - and LL can not afford that. The permissions system is too flimsy - we need a way to differentiate freebies from resalable items. I think that's the main point of all this anyway - there's no way we can change the jackasses of the world, but we can defend ourselves from them.

The whole point is that when I distribute a YESMod, YESCopy, YESTransfer, FREE, L$0 item, someone shouldn't take that same item and uncheck the Copy permissions, and then price it for L$5. The "option" is not to for me to quit giving out things for free, the option is for people to not resell things they get for free, and/or cripple the permissions, especially when they know better.

I will personally state that on three separate occasions, I have asked Jenna to remove items of mine that she was selling without permission. Each time she complied and said she would not do so in the future. They then appear again at another location, being sold by her. How do you explain this?

the items in question the animations
1. are free on poser and the internet
2. she makes animations and poses and knows all the ones question are free but as u can see didnt upload them
3. those in question were donated during a yardsale and were being resold for the person who donated them to the yardsale
4. a linden was asked and said YES is was okay
5. when brought to our attention that there was a freebie item it was quickly removed a simple IM is needed not a lying post
6. all who are posting about this are being watched by lindens cause as you should know mentioning a name is strictly against forum rules
7. the items in question as u can see were set at yardsale price cause it was a "yardsale" where people can sell things they bought but didnt need anymore. again lets not forget the power of a simple IM it resolves the problem and prevents griever posts from getting banned.

She has a little swarm of cult-like followers who believe every word she says and that she's the perfect being, until she back-stabs one of them of course. Then they get thrown out of the cult and they all deduct reasons as to why she backstabbed the one that keeps her image, generally coming to that the person who got backstabbed must have lied, done something wrong, or betrayed her first.

I have addressed the issue with her privately multiple times, and she continues to do it to people. She has been told time and again she is selling the items of other people without their permission. You are admonishing people to use a thought process - well the thought process is that if someone does something to you repeatedly after you approach them in good faith and ask them to stop, that they probably just don't give a shit and are going to keep doing it. I am not remotely saying Jenna is a bad person, she seems nice enough. She does have a propensity for going back on her word however.

BTW, blaming victims of flaws in the permissions system in SL is just plain stupid. Once the flaw is exploited and a copyable version is out there, it is impossible to get that copyable version back. You can only minimize the damage from it. Part of minimizing said damage is going after parasitic people who will profit off of those exploits. That is part of FIXING the problem - putting a stop to unauthorized sales. You should spend a little less time defending bad behavior and just look at the situation. I doubt you would like it particularly much if the tables were turned. No one would, Jenna included. It is just bad faith, and bad business, especially for someone as established as she is who certainly does not need to continue to do this.

I know she is glad you arent defending her in a court of law, because she would surely have POOR representation.

You are contradicting your defense, and just because other's are doing it , doesn't make it right , they need to be reported also.

Also, helping newbies don't justify making profit's off other's.

What can we DO to stop this kind of thing in the future. Content creators have been clamouring for a tighter permission system for awhile. What can we do to get that moved higher in Linden Lab's priorities?

How many people in SL learned how to build or script or even do clothes because they had full mod, FREE stuff they could take apart and tinker with? I know I did.

These kinds of problems keep popping up. I am much more interested in finding a long-term solution than in short-term finger pointing. It is seemingly impossible to get a Better Business Bureau started.. people keep trying.

Suggestions?
