come on a lot of stuff your complaning about is crap considering she buys rights to use and sell stuff and that a lot of ppl wingly donate stuff for her to sell or give out
First off a donation is is just that.If you were to donate canned food to the red cross would it be alright for them to go and sell it back to people? I highly doubt anyone would "donate" to the red cross if they were to do that. Even IF they were donated it is as a gift,it is not a product to be sold. If she did gain these items as a gift then they should be freely given out to new users, not have her make a profit off if it.

From: CaptnPower Codesmith Edited for brevity Listen - you've obviously not read all of this thread. The people who are complaining are the very ones who made the content. That's an important point. That means they know darn well if she has the right to resell or not. And she does not. This is not the first time she's been caught, it will probably not be the last.

Had she not done this repeatedly, I would say that in her defense people often receive freebie packs that include a mixture of legitimately free stuff and stuff released by exploit with full permissions. She probably did receive a lot of this stuff through a convoluted chain of "donations". Of course, none of that explains where she gets off charging for it.

From: CaptnPower Codesmith iv heard and seen many time the person stated remove animations and other object from vendors and other palces because the original creator notified her
Why does this happen so many times then? From: CaptnPower Codesmith you say said person is stealing iv seen more ppl steal from her then the oposite 5$ for a freebie box fuill of stuff isnt bad especialy when it gos into the newplayer money tree
So get L$5 from a n00b and give them L$1 back makes stealing ok? From: CaptnPower Codesmith come on a lot of stuff your complaning about is crap considering she buys rights to use and sell stuff and that a lot of ppl wingly donate stuff for her to sell or give out
There have been a number of people in this thread who said they didn't wingly give her rights to sell? Are they lying? From: CaptnPower Codesmith so dont go and assume something is stolen cos the creator and seller name are not the same
Again, when they creaters are in this very thread saying they did not give permission, this statement is nonsense. From: CaptnPower Codesmith now i know your gona blow shit at wat i just said but i was calm and didnt bitch well not to mutch so go ahead do your worst
Its Mulch, not mutch

reselling ppls creation is ok if 1-u both rights to it 2-it was given to you freely to do so 3-its free to download from the web and is given free to use
all 3 of witch the acused has done
i have seen instance were things was sold whit out permision becuase it was donated by a tird party but that was removed as soon as informed
and btw that hapens a lot u know ppl want to make money and sell the acused free stuff or stuff they got from tohers
the problem is this person's buisnes is big and has a lot of stuff so were the small buisness wouldnt have many oportunity to be sold stolen goods this persons buisness being the size it is has a lot more oportunity for that hapening
and for the same item to be donated twice under diferent name
u cant expect any1 to remember all of the stuff that was donated all the time can u

Exactly, free items/donations could be given out by the creator . But if someone where to sell said free items that were given to them it is breaking the law. Point is even if they are free items unless she had writen consent to sell them for profit or give royalties she has no right to do so.

Hi, I just thought I'd clean up your post a bit. From: CaptnPower Codesmith Well isn't this a nice bunch of bullshit.
I've been hanging around the club and some of the people who posted here and never have I seen/heard anything that would prove some of the statement here.
Now I tried to filter out the morons who just bitch because they're morons.
Some of you might have actual claims, but they're getting buried in the shitstorm of people who have no claim and just rant.
I've heard and seen the many times the person stated remove animations and other objects from vendors and other places because the original creator notified her.
You said person is stealing. I've seen more people steal from her than the opposite. $L5 for a freebie box full of stuff isn't bad especially when it goes into the new player money tree.
And about animations, except for the default poser ones and the freebies you can get at many poser sites I have yet to see the accused sell animations actually CREATED by other people without buyng the resell rights first.
Now I do believe that some of you think you're doing good by posting here but come on a lot of stuff your complaining about is crap considering she buys rights to use and sell stuff and that a lot of people willingly donate stuff for her to sell or give out.
Most of the stuff you're saying she allegedly "stole" came from people who gave her rights or she got free from a website (same as the original "creator" did).
So don't go and assume something is stolen because the creator and seller name are not the same.
Now I know you're gonna blow shit at what I just said but I was calm and didn't bitch ... well, not too much so go ahead do your worst.

I think we'e stuck with the stuff that is already loose in the world. Sort of like all the stuff that got released when the "creator nobody" bug happened. Water under the bridge. We've already found out that you can't make people be ethical, all you can do is shame them. I'd like to see a solution for going forward. If SL is going to develop it's economy, then control over creations is going to be essential. I favor the Resell Allowed box with a set resell limit option because I think a lot of jobs could be created for re-sellers. Imagine, I'm a content creator who knows alot about graphic, but little about advertising. I make this great product, but I don't know how to sell it. A Resale Allowed box with $L limit would let me work with someone else to re-sell my stuff. I could have a lot more time to create and they could have a job. That would pump up the economy. I've chatted with other creators who wish they could hand off the finished product (wiht protections) to someone else to market. Also, I would still release free stuff if I could do it in such a way that unscrupulous people didn't take advantage of it. I believe in the creative commons. I know I'm not alone in this. How do we find out how much support there is for moving the permissions change up the hotlist.. and then how do we convince LL to do it? And what about a Better Business Bureau? People have tried to start one (the defunct RATE). That would at least give us a place for customer/seller disputes to be resolved and for unethical business people to be identified.

From: Cory Edo Good catch! I would have caught it but English isn't my native tongue. Yes but I do so love when you speak your crazy Icelandic tongue to me. I was looking for just the word to sum this all up, and I found it: þermimök Since Icelandic is your native tongue, clearly you know what that word means.

This is not good.
You mean I can no longer get one of those free animal shaped balloons and sell them to some other kid who wants them, just because I got mine for free?
I guess I can't collect cool rocks off a hillside and sell those either, because they were free, eh?
Sounds like if the creator wants to stop that, they DO have the power with "no trans".

Sounds like if the creator wants to stop that, they DO have the power with "no trans". Again, why does the burden fall on the creator, and not the person selling them with no permission to? Especially with free items (and items stolen from an exploit).

You are nice to people. 2. Other people do it too. 3. Its just pixels so you don't have a right to be upset. 3b. The problem is with the permissions in SL, not the person that takes advantage of the glitches 4. I personally have never seen them do it, so that nullfies any statement to the contrary made by people who HAVE been ripped off. 5. Some wierd conglomeration of blind loyalty, lack of empathy, and KEEPIN' IT REAL
You hit #3b. Keep trying, collect them all!
