I've been ripped off several times on SL... but I have never been ripped off by the person you are reffering to, nor have I started a post to incite ranting and raving about the people who have ripped me off. Things happen, everyone should take Ferran's advice... Deal with it.

Reguardless of if it's a game or not there are still rules and regulations set forth to protect people . In any major game(let's take lineage 2 for example) the money,the armors an basicly all items in game ARE property of that game.If someone were to outright sell an item that was created by the company then that goes against the TOS and you could get in serious trouble.

As with any game there are users who find theneed to disrupt order and go against the TOS .Lineage2,EQ,WoW all have issues with users selling game content.

Game or not (and LL disagrees with your reminder), we are afforded intellectual property rights for original creations we make within or import into SL. That means if Ferran makes her own animations, no one else in SL is entitled to sell them, without permission. They are protected.

All the ad hominem attacks and non sequitur justifications in the world won't change that.

All this bantering isnt solving any issues, and in all reality.... it's making you look juevenile! Grow up and move on. SL is a business... and if you really wanna get technical... the WHOLE PLACE is an animated violotion. I don't know any of you, nor does it make a difference. There is no need for a personal vigilante attack, or witch-hunt on said person due to the fact that you have really have no idea of what you speak of. Nothing has been "ripped".
There is an option on all created items that are not wanted to be copied. I suggest you use it, to prevent any further happenings.

Now you have really shown your ignorance. Sl makes these updates, they break shit. Permissions break. People who lack morals and ethics like your friend take advantage and get full permissions on items that are not the permissions the owner set. Your friend knows this, but exploits it anyway. She won't dare set foot in forums to defend herself (although on 2nd thought the majority of you are probably alts of hers), because she knows she is in the wrong and has stolen from people repeatedly. She knows it is wrong, has been asked to stop and she keeps doing it.

Here's something fun to try, go to her store and look at some of the prim hair for sale, go into edit on them, then find the box itself and click on properties for it, sometimes you find the creator name "Obunnywan Manimal" one of the people she stole from.

That makes me sad. I'm blessed to have some discretionary income to buy $L with, but I have some SL friends who are not so lucky.

I know how hard they work to earn a few $L and how they save stipend and other earnings to buy stuff.

OK, let's sum up.

Reselling other people's creations is ok if and/or because:

1. You are nice to people.
2. Other people do it too.
3. Its just pixels so you don't have a right to be upset.
4. I personally have never seen them do it, so that nullfies any statement to the contrary made by people who HAVE been ripped off.
5. Some wierd conglomeration of blind loyalty, lack of empathy, and KEEPIN' IT REAL

I am glad you capitalized KEEPIN' IT REAL, because that is the essence of all the arguments. They are keeping it real in the streets (when I say this the point of reference for keeping it real and in the streets is Beyonce Crip walking in the Soldier video, it is street JUST like that), and we are all old and out of touch and stuck on morals and ethics. As long as it is for the homies, that is all that matters!

Ah is that what she tells you? She didn't buy the rights though. He gave them as full mod as a present to her at first, she said they were very good and that he should sell them, but he didn't want too and wanted to give them to her (they were dating at this time). She went ahead and sold them as her own anyways. They broke up shortly after that. Want to know how I know this? Because he told me. I even have a notecard of the conversation between him and her where she decides to sell them anyways.

He tried to stop her from selling them by simply giving them all out for free, but never got as much attention as she gets with it.

But i'm sure the "I bought the rights from him" is a nice tidy little lie to tell the little people.
