Never mind if you didn't even know who Jack Linden is, or knew that he was even remotely interested in hearing about how upset you are.

So, here's everyone's chance. Presuming that the only way they sit up and take notice is direct, personal communication, go ahead and send Jack (and Blondin, Cyn, M, and any other Linden who has posted in these threads) an IM today expressing your heartfelt opinion on the subject.

Yeah Jack's a good guy. I could be wrong but I don't think he's very much involved in this change. Of course he has to defend the company line to some degree and I don't fault him for that.

Having to pick up your virtual; builds and relocate them to another continent in a virtual world is akin to being raped? Does this person have ANY IDEA what it feels like to be actually RAPED?

I disagree that Jack is not involved in this change. Every Linden is involved in these changes whether they wanted to be or not. They work for the Company and policy is policy no matter what position you hold or whether you feel it is right or wrong. I just hope there is one Linden out there who will see this in a different light and bring OUR, the resident's concerns forward.

In your office hour you stated that you haven't got many complaints against the new Adult-policy LL is undertaking. With Blondin being the liaison in the forums, this doesn't surprise me at all. But! Blondin is well aware of the facts that a) there are many people against the proposed changes AND b) there have been offered workable alternatives.

You can find them all in: /352/11/314444/1.html all the way up to post 7000+. I would expect internal communication inside LL to be better though, and I certainly didn't expect I would have to inform every Linden of the fact that many people disagree with the proposed changes.

As many have stated before, also in the forum thread I mentioned before, opposition exists mainly against the way you are pursuing your goals. The over all aims are - if not my preferred course of action - understandable.

But the course of action taken at this moment is - and I am sorry to say that - an epic fail. The proposed policy is:

- unfinished
- unclear
- hardly known (and no, the forums and blog DON'T count as a way of informing all residents... the splash screen does, or a grid wide blue drop box)
- biased (because it depends too much on interpretation)
- inconsistent (because it's biased)
- unfair (because land owner will be moved at LL's discretion of what is adult and what not AND the possibilities of mature land are altered drastically)

I am pretty sure that you could get a working policy which will be accepted by virtually the whole community if you start working with the community from scratch, and not drop something in some Brown Bag meetings (of which the transcripts appear to be inaccurate). As I have said before, many viable alternatives have been mentioned and they will work. But what we get to work with now is just random vagueness...

Ofcourse, a great many people haven't said anything about the proposed changes. That doesn't mean they agree though. Nor does it mean they disagree. It simply means they DON'T know.

What I wish for at this moment is that you, and your superiors, start taking into account that there have been massive failures in this process regarding the design of cooperation in the process, the way the change is 'marketed' and the way protests are being ignored systematically.

Considering someone sent that quote out in a group of 1800 people (The *I* am Adult Content group) , he probably has 1800 IMs to deal with right about now. I'd be pasting too.
