Ah but you have made on fatal mistake in your reasoning - you used logic.
This isn't the way this is being done, and trying to use logic will lead you down roads of conflicting messages. Go back and read what Blondin Linden has written - if you have a house with a sexbed and as long as you are not advertising adult-rated products for sale or events, you will be able to stay on "Mature" land.

I understand that this is your opinion, but unfortunately that doesn't count much, as do the opinions of everyone on here whose name doesn't end with "Linden"....

Why isn't Xcite on the filtered word list? Xcite has no meaning in secondlife other than adult oriented material. Some sort of money thing going on there LL? You are going to whack Strocker's thing with banning "sex" (sexgen) so you have to ban Xcite as well. In addition ban all major brand names in SL that are associated with nothing but adult content.

The xsl forum is once more buzzing with its little drama. It seems the flickr group has upset one of the members and much hysteria is ensuing.

What I find funniest is that I bought land off this guy for my main store only a couple of months ago and when I fired up my land buying girl to make the purchase he hit on me because he though she looked like a submissive, which got him going.. In your office hours today you stated

There are two reasons for that:

(1) Conversation was directed at the Forums, and to Blue and Blondin Linden. There are 14,000 messages there on just the Further Conversation section. Including MANY MANY good suggestions on ways to make this a more positive experience, restore customer relations and confidence in LL.

(2) Most of SL does not even know this is happening yet. In talking to people
every day in the game, most don't know whats up with the Adult Content changes, and those that do don't know the details. I have talked to LOTS of people that are clueless, and even more that laugh and call it the *next big scam*. The only way to assure that everyone potentially affected by these changes are aware of whats coming, AND if this is the positive change that LL thinks it will be, would be to post a mandatory poll on every log-in. See what overall the response is, and PAY attention to the responses. LL wouldn't be what it is today without a combined effort from content creators, resisdents and LL alike. When a change this major is coming, please remember the ones that have stuck it out, paid in their hard earned money, and helped make SL what it is today.

So, I'm Letting you know that I am not upset about trying to separate adult stuff from kids, that's a reasonable goal, and enforcing separation and verification will go part of the way to doing that.

I am, however, very upset about the details of how you are doing this. It will be very disruptive to many businesses, groups, and individuals , including me. I have 5+ years in SL, and to say that i have weathered the changes is an understatement. I have been an avid Linden supporter on various issues, and with the exception of one linden, all i have personally dealt with have been extremly great. I think that more of the input from the forums should be considered.

How interesting. He cut and pasted the EXACT SAME words to me when I IM'ed him. Not one letter more or less. The lazy SOB isn't even bothering to reply to IM's individually!

But the vast majority of people don't even know it's coming yet.

And among those who do, a very large segment of the people who will be adversely affected CAN'T submit support calls or tickets, becuse they are non-premium RENTERS who will be evicted because of this, with no help whatsoever in finding suitable rental space after the forced moves are over. Most of those renetrs are going to either have to go out of business or pay usuriously high rates to the land speculators to get access to "approved" land that they can do business on.

Take a look at any mall in SL. Count the people who sell adult content. Every one of them is going to have to relocate, and they don't have "land to swap". They are screwed, big time. If they are VERY lucky, and the mall they are in is mostly adult stuff anyway, or the sim they are in is a private sim that is mostly adult stuff, then they can stay with their current landlord when they either re-zone the private sim or move to Ursula. But most of them will just get evicted, with no place at all to go.
