Hey guys, it's late here (I'm est USA) and there's an issue in RL that I have to address. I'll be back tomorrow morning. Promise. Have a good night all!

if you are being paid for your "services" in this forum then you are doing an extreme disservice to the people that feed you and the rest of your cronies, if you are not being paid then you are not in LL employ and your word is not official and worth nothing.

are you trying to kill this thread by not answering the questions you said you would answer?
if you can post at all then you can post 8 answers, so stop stonewalling or admit LL are not listening, at least have the courtesy to do that.
you insult my intelligence.

This is where definitions get muddled, I've read newspaper television listings that say a film or show "Contains mature content, drug taking, violence, nudity and sex scenes".

This is why I'm baffled that a strip club is considered extreme content that needs to move to another continent, it's mature.

I'm not 100% but I think strip clubs themselves would be mature while strip clubs with sex, backroom or otherwise, (the poseball comments some people were concerned about before) would be considered adult.

No building or scripting, except for city owners and licensed developers approved by city owners. The whole place will be more restricted than the worst nightmares of SL residents.

Not only that but it seems like it is not a :regular person" friendly place. It seems like it will be for the hard core VR fanatics, not recreational users like me. Despite it's many flaws, SL's beauty is in it is pretty much turn it on and go. The basic tools and functions are not hard to learn, despite what the vaunted "learning curve" may say otherwise.

Blondin, you might want to look at this thread, and see if everyone is on the same page, before the hole gets dug any deeper:

Would it not be so much simpler to open the teen grid to adults who dont want to see anything naughty since there is, or should be, no naughty bits there. If the argument is that the Tenn gird needs to expand because the kids want to make and sell things well fine problem solved if you let the PG fans into the G rated teen grid.

I totally agree with you Brenda in every way :) That is why I answer these so that it maybe minimizes further damage just a little bit and the people that have read the mis information can correct themselves based on what has been said rather than what they think has been said but its a losing battle in so many ways :)

A week later down the line and still the audio has not been posted and that is after LL said it would be posted in a couple of days after the meeting, so i can understand everyones frustration, mine included and i was one of those at the meeting and it doesn't instill much confidence in me lol

We can be grateful for the effort you are putting toward getting accurate information out to everyone. Thank You, M'Lord. :)

I really do apologize for the lateness of the transcripts. I'll push on that today and see if I can find out what the delay is. Again, I'm sorry about that.

Sorry to quote you twice, but this is part of the problem. You are speaking for LL in terms of policy, and even YOU are not certain ? Is ANYBODY certain on anything in this escapade?

I agree, i was thinking that earlier as well. I doubt though that they will do a U turn but it would be nice to be surprised. Maybe the issues that have been raised here etc. have made them stop and reconsider certain actions before going ahead with them, its just the lack of communication from them that I detest as this does affect everyone on the grid in one way or another and is probably the biggest changes I have ever seen since i first tried SL.

There will be a big chunk of info coming in the next day or two so keep your eyes pealed.

LL are not interested in doing what is best for us and easier for them, LL want cash and this is one of the few ways they can get subscriptions for a shoddy piece of software,
70% of sl membership is outaide the US, age verification wll mean giving up too much personal information so i rhink LL are hoping that rather than age verify we will pay to get piof.
seeing as most countries allow kids of any age to be a credit card holder as a second account
it makes the whole thing quite corrupt when money will allow you to "buy" your age status.

I've never attended the BustyDusty show. I don't know what the build looks like or what goes on in there. Perhaps I'll stop by later. Anyone have a LM?

Will individual residents who don't own adult businesses be able to take part in the land swap?

Had Adult land been available when I bought land, I'd have gotten it, especially if I had known Mature was going to be redefined as the new PG.

Since no one seems to know what constitutes Mature and Adult, I'm sure many residents would prefer to play it safe and move to Adult land rather than risk being AR'd for mature activities in mature land.

Second: Will there be open in-world forums on the policy, or just the invite only Brown Bags?

We have had eyes peeled... and posts flying... and rumors abounding, great Ideas shared.. and at LEAST WE pay attention... seems to be more than LL is doing. The front of this post list more names than yours moderating it... where the hell is your help?

There have been numerous suggestions from many people that are affected, give a shit about those of us affected, how about LL show the same consideration?

To Blondin and the lurking Lindens

I'm not going to quote the entire posts here, but I suggest that you go back and re-read what Brieanne Bomazi and Valerius Constantine have said over the weekend.

To sum up, there are some damn good suggestions on how to make this land swap work better. First come first served is a terrible, terrible idea.

Please acknowledge this.

The Land swap will be available for those who will be most impacted by the adult content changes.

Hopefully the definitions will make it clear that the majority of activities in SL
would be considered mature.

No. And last Friday was the last Brown Bag.

So the FIC will get to take part in the free land swap and the rest of us will get to sit on our now worthless mainland? Seems like par for the Linden course.

Ah, but Blondin, that doesnt just include adult businesses.

It also includes businesses catering to adult businesses, businesses that benefit from proximity to adult businesses since they have the same or a similar target market..

This is starting to feel like the little guys taking it in the shorts again...

Far more than 2-4% methinks.

but Da5id, don't you see that by leaving the content creators behind they effectively get put out of business? A nice hands-free way of ensuring limited growth in the adult world.

Which is the first step toward the eventual exit from SL as whole. In my opinion.
