From: Clarissa Lowell Oh Cheddar. Yes I see her land all over. Her prices are generally sort of fair. But how did she manage to get a full sim? She had a whole sim devoted to adult sales in SL?? yeah thats what a few are unhappy about. Fair or not, its not adult content when we are told we have to move from the places we like now.

How odd that two "biker type guys" would show up when I was standing in Tootling (nothing better to do at the moment) and ask about who owns it, saying they just noticed it for sale on the map, claiming not to know anything about Cheddar's other place, listed as "Sexy escort lounge, BIKER HANGOUT, riders, sex bed, shops, adboards, and apartments, sex room rentals, escort ads, sex rooms, escort apartments, free BDSM dungeon. adult environment, nudity, nudity encouraged"
(capitalization mine)
Oh, and the current place on Zindra is listed as
"Cheddar Sex - Feel free to roam the castle, climb the tree house or dance the night away in the underground club and cinema. Lots of bedrooms to explore."
So nothing about a biker hangout in that one to have searched on

Re: Blatant attempt to makes some money on the move to Zindra.
Of course some people would try it. If you check the box to keep your old land, then you have nothing to lose by putting in a ticket, at worst they will say no. At best you get "free" land in a possibly desirable (high priced) area, and can possibly resell it before getting dinged with double tier. At worst, it can be abandoned before the 14 days are up, or even held past that and then sold afterwards. Even paying a month's tier is cheap, if its expensive land and you got it free.
At least one Linden staffer said land speculation is OK, so why is anyone surprised when it happened?
In fact, from a profit standpoint, the Linden's *want* sales prices to be established at a high level on Zindra, so the auction becomes a feeding frenzy. And they also want to create enough land so that *some* goes to auction after all the move tickes are done, but not so much it kills the price.
What acts as a counterbalance to the feeding frenzy though is estates can create as much Adult land as they want, so its not permanently scarce. Yes, I know estate land is not the same as mainland, and not everyone will want it, but it does put a cap on Adult land prices in general.
The asking price of one million L$ for the region on Zindra works out to USD 3,700. That makes the breakeven 27 months vs Adult estate:
Estate: Buy for USD 1,000, 27 months tier @ 295 = 7965, total = 8965 Zindra: Buy for USD 3,700, 27 months tier @ 195 = 5265, total = 8965
To me, 27 months is too long to plan on things in SL, they change the rules in less time than that. So comparing the deals above, I would think the lower up front cost would win. Therefore the asking price for the Zindra region is too high.

Yep, NPIOF non-age-verified avatars can teleport to the Zindra seas. Except for the two regions actually named Zindra that lead off towards Arapaima.

Tired of to wait and the bad process that linden is doing with movement. I just find generic answers in my ticket land movement process... If i dont find a right answer i will cancel my SL Account. Im paying so much money for just to find massive generic answers in my ticket So bad is doing Linden, so bad

From: Jannae Karas Probably she was looking to flip it quick. 100% profit since the land was free, then sell the mainland sim she just bought to qualify for the swap. She could take a bit of a loss on the mainland parcel, and still come out of it all pretty well financially.
Or something like that.
The flaw in LL's "trade" philosophy is that they have not insured that the original parcel is given to them in return. I think that they would prefer this, as either the original owner or who ever buys it will keep paying tier. Something that won't happen if they have to reclaim the land. I expect that they really don't want to suddenly have to auction off a continent's worth of mature land with the current depressed land values. Not to mention that there's nothing keeping them from selling that mature land to a confederate, and having the confederate apply for a Zindra swap, and do the whole thing over again. ^V^

^V^ That was my thinking as Alts can come in handy sometimes and especially as its clear LL are not back checking as was said they would

I was going through Zindra about a week before the tickets were to go in... The land on this SURL was Zindra... http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gilda%20Pointe/56/128/23 This land is owned by "land sellers"... Not adult rated present sim owners... What are they doing?? I thought the Adult rated sims were going to migrate... not the biggest businesses that aren't even adult rated??

Oddly, I am finding that quite a few claimed parcels have ties to Cheddar and her numerous alts. Also it would appear that she did a brisk business in selling mainland full sims to some other emigre's in the past couple of weeks, that have already been flipped to new owners. In a great coincidence considering some of the threads lately, one of the flipped mainland parcels went to a well known child avi (boy) on 7-03.

Also these two interesting looking groups have appeared in some profiles:
Zindoras Land Rentals Zindoras Rentals
I found a hotel. Furnished rooms. Additional 15 prim allowance @ 150L$ a week. 10 prims for 100 L$ a week.
Of course these rates may rise, if price gouging erupts after the auctions, but currently rental prices seem to be comporable to mainland mature.
I would be interested if anyone else has found any rental information for Zindra, specifically land parcels. No locations please, just basic per prim or square meter pricing.

Well Jack offered last week to establish *some* special Zindra related office hours. Residents suggested to invite Cyn and other responsible Lindens too.
Since the whole thing is driving more and more into the abyss for the land requesting people, for the people with stucking tickets, for the left on mature land people, for the still *non-informed* people (while time is running out) and for whatever attached complexities of circumstances, I think we need soon, now, these days/week(s) relative immediatly *some* and long and effective and result oriented meetings with *all* the responsible Lindens and they *should* appear *all* and better they appear ambitioned to create some significant changes with us!
As soon as possible. Best would be on Jack's land. It has enough space. And best would be, to see them all at the same time at one place: Jack, Blondin, Cyn, the Linden lawyers, and all other direct involved Lindens.
If that happens, we should appear with well prepared questions and suggestions, to have kind of effective talks and hopefully clear results with benefits for all interests.

From: Wynochee LeShelle Well Jack offered last week to establish *some* special Zindra related office hours. This would be a good move. As difficult as it is to imagine for those caught up in the Zindra nightmare, there really are other topics that need to be (continually, persistently, it seems interminably) raised during his regular office hours, too. I could list some, but it would just aggravate the Zindra agony, which is an urgent, acute matter that needs time dedicated to it. It just won't happen at Jack's regular office hours, but the Land team plays a crucial role in Zindra now, so it's pretty important that those special office hours commence this week and continue through the migration, at least. Tangential: It may be good to start out a "Zindra merchants association" or something along the lines of what they're doing in Bay City and Nautilus City. I'm not sure what I mean by that; it just seems reasonable that the earlier something starts, the more opportunity for being effective.

Has anyone got an idea what the current land price is? The neighbour of one of my useless plots has contacted me and asked if I was interested in selling. That's the one who owns the mega plywood cube for those who have seen it.
so, any suggestions as to the price I should quote?
