I'd rather we just agreed incompetence, disdain and greed. Not a conspiracy, it's just their corporate policy.

Wow, that should have some rather interesting implications for the future. Is anyone concerned that competition is going to end up knocking a lot of smaller players out of business, and concentrating the market in the hands of a few bigger or more successful businesses? I can almost foresee a point at which a much depopulated Zindra does, perforce, become more mixed-usage, simply because there won't be enough market share to support a continent stuffed with nothing but adult content. These issues were raised during the last three months, pointing out that venues that rely on the same content to keep going (such as renting vendor space or affiliate vendors) ending up side by side is unlikely to see them all prosper. LL make more tier money from lots of small land holders than they do from a few large landholders so it's probably not the brightest move they've ever made, but right now LL are probably saying "Wow look at the demand for new land, we're onto a winner here". |

fwiw the ticket I lodged 4 hours ago with the swap details (under the "other" rather than zindra move) has now become a work in progress. I can't wait to see what their response is.
I'm betting something along the lines of: "Your original details were correctly submitted and we are processing those tickets in the order they were received. yours disrespectfully Don'tGiveAToss Linden." _____________________

Just remember earlier when they said a Work in Progress is not really a Work in Progress ![]() Yeah! But WIP state would meant that something has happened, even if it doesn't indicate any work done. My 10:05 ticket is still New. So thats 24hours and 30 minutes of them apparently working around the clock in US and UK and still haven't covered the first 5 minutes of tickets. _____________________

I don't quite understand why they did zindra terrain the way they did. They must know that land with access to protected water is always seen as a premium. They really should know that they have angered lots of people with this whole adult content thing. They definitely knew that they would be swapping these angry residents to this new land... So.. What's with the high river banks and lack of parcels with water access? It's not like it's more expensive to drop down a region with more rivers... Perhaps they should have looked at Palm Jumeirah, in Dubai: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm_Jumeirah http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm_Jumeirah When given absurd amounts of money to play with, and building real life land from scratch, they made it *all* waterfront. |

So thats 24hours and 30 minutes of them apparently working around the clock in US and UK and still haven't covered the first 5 minutes of tickets. Actually it's 25hrs now and they've still not got to 10:03. Brie is still waiting for hers to be processed and her first choice is still set to governor linden. That means they've processed less than 80 tickets in the last 25 hrs.. and that's working around the clock. _____________________

Yeah! But WIP state would meant that something has happened, even if it doesn't indicate any work done.. This is something I know Sindy is wondering about. Her wrong-category ticket at 10:01 went WIP very quickly but, last I heard (this AM) there was still no update from LL in it. If the ticket was NOT auto-opened, that means a Linden saw her move request come in at 10:01 and did something to make it go WIP but for some reason did just add a "wrong category - check KB again" for her. I know she spent most of the day resisting doing a concierge live chat to ask about the status mainly beause it was WIP. If it was auto-opened, I guess that brings up a whole different set of questions as WIP really implies that somebody has at least looked at the ticket. _____________________

4051-6484226 29/6/2009 10:02 AM PDT (Work In Progress, since 10:07am 29/6) 4051-6484233 29/6/2009 10:02 AM PDT (New) First response at 8:39 pm, to ask for fursther infor mation The second ticket is ours, so by their numbering system....if they did as promised and did first come first served, they as a company only processed 6 linden tickets of any type in 13 hours. Ya right!! Someone looked at ticket 4051-6484226 at 10:07 am and put it in progress. No one looked at our ticket till 8:39 pm. so exactly which tickets where they processing all day?? There are 7 tickets between them. Lets assume they are all land swap which is very unlikely, still they only put 6 tickets in progress in 13 hours. Something smells hun what i just posted shows is that 6 tickets between the two took 13 hours to process The ticket number is generated when you open it. So there are 6 tickets between the two the first was looked at and put in progress at 10:07 am The second ticket was opened and put in progress at 8:39 pm this means that 6 tickets were looked at and put in progress or processed and closed in 13 hours, not likely. Well... I dunno. That ticket that moved to WIP at 10:07... do we know what happened to it? It got put in progress very quickly, considering it was filed as late as 10:02. I'm thinking it may have gotten touched--maybe moved to the right queue?--but not worked for some time. We know that at 9:59 a.m., the ticketing system gave a ticket the number 4051-6484166; it wasn't in the right queue, but that tells us the maximum number of tickets for all queues that were in the system between the start of Zindra ticket processing and the time your ticket, 4051-6484233, first got looked at: 67, if my arithmetic is correct. We don't know how many of those were for something else, nor do we know how many other tickets from before 10:00 filed in the wrong queue got pushed into the Zindra queue (somewhere), but assume not that many of either of those. So between 10am and 8:39pm (isn't that just shy of 11 hours?) they processed (to some degree) maybe 67ish tickets. Not great, but still not a smoking gun. Another ticket (no number, unfortunately) was stamped 10:03, its actual land transfer at 11:07pm. So that really was 13 hours from the beginning of Zindra ticket processing. That ticket must have had a number smaller than 4051-6484260 (a different ticket, timestamped the next minute), so we know there were fewer than 100 tickets that got completed in that 13 hour span (...260 - ...166). Probably more were touched and processed to some degree; probably a lot fewer were actually completed due to some delay in the process (as happened with your ticket). |

4051-6485737 29/6/2009 1:36 PM PDT Suppose it is not that strange it is still status New then huh ![]() Well I am not in a hurry either, so I will wait in patience. Based on your ticket number, and the historical, non-land rush, rate of 2 tickets per minute, I calculate there were 1,112 Zindra tickets submitted in the first 3.6 hours. |

Some German, Japanese and French links http://www.slapt.me/wiki/index.php/Translated_Adult_Documents Very good! Much german people asked for that and I found only fragments before, after long search along the weeks - but it seems it is complete now, analog to the english KB's. A club-owner couple asked me yesterday again where to find something official written and to explain the whole complexity in IMs plus translating is very hard since my brain is not a hard disk. So, these info sources from Blondin and concentrated provided on slapt.me is very appreciated. I find it nice, that he sended it. |
