Most of the things Chris listed in his earlier thread aren't normal based on the definition of the word, but that doesn't make them wrong. Sex with animals is sick and illegal. Pixilated sex with animals is still pretty sick in my opinion but none of my damn business.

This is a good point, and the basis of this thread isn't whether bestiality is ok or not. It's what do you do when your neighbor is doing something that is annoying to you. In this case, it's pretty extreme. But it could be something far less prurient that they are doing which is really irritating.

The best bet is to assume that they are decent people who don't realize that they are being obnoxious and to approach them discreetly and try to work it out. Most people are pretty cool and will try their best. A few are just flat out obnoxious and won't. Assuming they are the former until they prove they are the latter is a much nicer way to go and is a pretty good risk to take.

I may not be into bestiality myself, but I am a pervert in my own right. I would be a hypocrite to think otherwise. Everything that we perceive as normal and acceptable is a broadly offensive perversion to someone, somewhere. And before you can say, "But I think ** is perfectly acceptable and normal." There will be someone deeply opposed to and offended by it. Excuse me for saying, but California is a fine example of that.

Some people wear their perversion like a badge. Some keep it in the drawer. Some don't even realize their perversion is a perversion or who they're offending. Let's hope that Mari's neighbors are in the third class.

The real problem lies in 'hearing' things from your land that you simply wished you were not able to. There are a lot of conversations out there that I certainly don't care to listen to. I wouldn't mention anything about being a child av, or what it is you are hearing Mari, only that it would be mutually beneficial to you both if you were far enough from each other (house/barn?) to not be able to eavesdrop. As for their 'customers' who drop by, it isn't really their responsibility.

I still don't think people who build a horse humping barn right up against the property line have the common sense to have a reasonable discussion with.

Well, the forums are supposed to be PG. PG-13 at the worst. Post a picture of a topless woman (human) and you're likely to get suspended. That's a little different than Chris' legality argument, because he's talking about real life laws rather than forum rules or TOS'. The US outlaws depictions of child porn, even if it's just cartoons and no actual children are involved. Even where bestiality is not explicitly outlawed, drawings and other depictions of it are usually not outlawed. LL banned sexual ageplay because the RL police could have shown up and shut down LL and SL and started putting people in jail. The same is true of gambling if the feds decided to interpret the UIGEA in a way that had LL facilitating the transfer of money for gambling. People can argue all they want that the law doesn't cover these activities because SL is different, but those people aren't taking the risk of getting tossed in the joint if a judge disagrees. I know if it were me that was facing a potential prison sentence if I were wrong, I'd be VERY conservative in what I allowed.

If someone wants a bestiality build on their land, as repugnant as I find it to be, they can do it. I personally find it to be revolting, but that's my opinion. I just would hope that they would have the decency to be good neighbors and move their build a little. They don't have to, but it would be a nice thing to do.
