Look, the difference between kiddie porn and animal porn is that there is ZERO percent chance that my pet dog can accidentally log in to SL, create a dog avatar, wander around and get propositioned by an adult avatar. My dog has ZERO comprehension of any images on the screen. A child could. That's the difference. Jesus, it's not rocket science. Good Point! Besides that, this thread wasn't searching for opinions on beastiality, I think a majority of us here would have similar opinions in regards to this. The thread was started to get advice on what she can do to protect her own privacy and ears for that matter.

Late as usual, and probably little point in me posting this so late in the thread, but here goes anyway: Mari - for the record, you are the poster child of appropriate usage of a child avatar. You constantly go out of your way to set the example that just because one presents themselves as a childlike avatar, it doesn't mean that there is any sort of sexual connotation to it. You deserve a lot of praise for everything you do  What has me a little concerned, is I'm assuming that both you and your neighbor are in a Mature sim. I completely understand why, as a child avatar - you wouldn't want to be anywhere near anything sexual. Since you live out your existence in SL in a PG manner however, why choose to live in a Mature sim? I know you've said multiple times that moving isn't an option - but I'd strongly suggest for you to reconsider it. Not because anyone should have to move because of an obnoxious neighbor - but because I see a philosophical conflict with your PG-rated avatar living in a place where lots of adult activites are fully sanctioned. What better way to avoid this sort of inappropriate content, than permanantly relocating to an area where its not allowed?

Others are interested in protecting against potential Real Life activities. The argument goes they use Horse Humping porn to get them by until they can hump real horses again. Regardless, whether or not you allow people humping horses images in Second Life, it still doesn't make it normal. |

Can't help wondering why some people just can't seem to figure it out. Three easy steps:
1. What other people do with their pixels is their problem, as long as the don't interfere with others.
2. If we find it objectionable, that is our business to deal with in ways that fix our problem and leaves them to deal with theirs.
3. If what someone does with their pixels sufficiently violates RL laws to endanger LL's business, that is very much LL's problem and they must and will deal with it.
It's called Live and Let Live. Try it, it works.
But it does take two to tango. If you feel it is your business to determine how other people think, speak, look and act, please get stuffed.
