The point made about people coming out of the woodwork looking bad is very very true, but I'm starting to have some sympathy with the organisers' stated views that they are being held up to ridicule.

BTW Trevor, if you are reading this thread still, congrats on your RL getting together. I don't think it's 100% sure that the ONLY way you'd have met was through a slave auction, you never know what other circumstances you meet through, but clearly it was kismet and the best of luck to you both.

Off topic like much here is. thanks for the kind words.Would we have met at another place. yes maybee we would. But meeting where we did gave us an immediate insight in to each other and how we live our lives.That was like a head start at the olympics.

Sadly I think I lack the essentials to carry any child to term. And this may be a good thing, because were I to ever be pregnant the experience would probably leave me deeply, deeply conflicted somehow... I doubt I'd be a good mom, either, and mother's day would just be a drama powderkeg waiting to go off.


We kinda outlawed slavery a while back... though I must confess, when a gorean got snippy with a friend of mine I was *very* tempted to buy the lot of them and send them as a gift to FurNation.

I must say meeting my partner made a lot of nonsense in a certain venue worth the irritation - would we have met somewhere else? No probably not. Kismet First time I have met anyone who could dance as fast with a turn on the dime and who could out-think me sometimes. To be treasured and yes, knowing that you are on the same page is worth a million in prizes.

***edit As an amusing aside I can't put my clothes on so it would have to be a bare-bummed bottoms up in my case if I was silly enough to let myself be in so exposed a predicament

Perhaps this will be the final post, and the drama will be over. I personally feel however that some explanations are deserved, especially to the moderators of the board. No excuses, just understanding.

To the moderators and board in general, as for so many of us coming out of lurking "to wage war" on a single person: We are a quiet, insular community that is careful to keep our preferences and beliefs to ourselves. Many of us guard jealously the fact that we are part of the community, real life or online, for fear of our jobs, homes, children and family. Society in general does not like or accept us, so we have become accustomed to being attacked in one form or another. This has taught us that if one of us is attacked, all of us need to defend. Be it right or wrong, we've learned well that there is safety in numbers.

To Rose specifically: Rose, luv, unlike David Bowie's character, there is not a single person genuinely of our community that wishes power over you against your will. For us, it's all about concentuality.

Next time I would write about a topic I have knowledge about. You will be known as his greatest slave now. He didnt even sell you and you paid his sim for a month with this, as a minimum. This could have long lasting effects.

All I can say at this point is... Congratulations Bull on running a great slave auction built on mutual respect. That is the way I did it as well. You always gave it even though we both know it isn't always returned. Thanks to this thread your place will be overflowed with gorgeous slaves, and willing buyers. Here here re the drama, Kadin. I'm sorry but I do not personally buy that it's ok to do a mob raid - there's no one looking too good out of this debacle including myself. Some of the more hystronic posts really were not needed, particularly the one I strongly objected to.

The auctions are not for me personally but then this is why I never came along to the sim - the real moral of the story is that if you go somewhere with rules you better either follow them willingly or get the hell out of where you don't belong.

Sometimes the buyer prefers someone eager, willing, but not experienced, not "tainted" by training that has to be "overcome."

All is not lost if your prospective purchase model is 'used'.. there is a machine at Xcite, in the basement, called 'The Virginator' where virginity can be restored.


You place your slave on the conveyor, which then passes her (or him perhaps) through the machine and tells you if she is 'used' or not. Then it gives you the option to restore. I think the fee is optional but all fees are donated to a RL charity. They have raised a lot of money since it opened..

As much as I KNOW I"m going to regret this, I just can't resist...

Here's what I have learned about the slave market from my afternoon of slave training and from 18 pages of forum messages:
1. The BDSM community is very sensitive about criticism, probably because BDSM is not a very accepted practice in RL. This may cause them to lash out when criticism was not intended. This may cause them to be more defensive than is necessarily warranted.
2. People involved in the slave auctions do not consider the slave auctions to be about sex for sale. Some people involved in the slave auctions are very sensitive about having their services labelled as related to selling sex.
3. BDSM is not my cup of tea. In my mind, being told to strip, wear a collar, getting zapped for discipline, paraded naked on a dance pole, then told I'm narrow-minded because I don't enjoy all this is simply not fun. I realize that you guys believe this is how to show a girl a good time. (Come on. you can smile here. I'm not being serious. =D )
4. Some of the BDSM community is not open to discussion about their lifestyle and considers discussion to be an attack. This ties in with point 1.
5. Those of you who have suggested I can discuss the issue with your group are wrong. I have been muted by the auctioneer.
6. I do not believe I would be welcome in your sim. I realize that you feel this is justified because you feel that I have attacked you. Attacking you was not my intention. I am just a poor schmuck trying to sort out an experience that was so far beyond anything I had experienced up to that point that I was totally shocked by much of what I saw. This doesn't mean that what you did was wrong, it just means it was different than anything I had seen before. This is not meant as negative. Please believe this.

I honestly wish we could put this whole incident down to misunderstandings and miscommunications.

The auctioneer felt I insulted him. I apologize for causing him this distress. My feelings about the auctioneer were somewhat colored by being treated in a way that seemed to me to be disrespectful. I realize that I was treated as all the slaves are treated. The response was an emotional response, not the result of a chain of logic. In retrospect, I should have left sooner than I did.

Curiosity killed the cat. In my case, wanting to understand more about your lifestyle resulted in me continuing the slave training to the point that I had built up anger at the way I was treated. That isn't fair to you. Your lifestyle is as it is. You have a right to it.

Keep it going. He will be a brand name like Xcite or Amethyst on SL if the thread continues.
