My Afternoon as a Slave in Training

I believe I finally understand my afternoon at the Slave Auction Sim.

Thank you's to Bull and all the folk at the Slave Auction Sim, and to all the people who posted in my thread. I have learned not only about your lifestyle, but another piece from my distant past has slipped more comfortably into the jigsaw puzzle that is my life.

My apologies to Bull and to anyone at the Slave Auction Sim that I have angered or offended. Your lifestyle tapped into a long-ago experience in my life. I equated Bull with a person in my past, and anger that I evidently still hold towards this person from my distant past was directed toward Bull. This wasn't fair to Bull. It also colored my attitude toward the Slave Auction. Again, this wasn't fair.

I hope this thread results in increased profits for Bull and that all consequences for those in the Slave Auction sim are positive ones.

Lordy. I find a lot of the online BDSM stuff weird, even in comparison to bits of the net dedicated to nothing BUT the kink.

I think my weirdest afternoon was possibly my very first day on here to be honest, for reasons of people no longer in SL.

No, I was never sold. I just hung around for a few hours of training. I'm not clear who gets the money for the auction. I think the slave does.

I had a friend who had spent some time in the slave industry as both a Gor and BDSM, BDSM some places let you take half the money while others keep it for training expenses. Now Gor though is completely different, I've spent quite a bit of time as a Gorean slave before retiring from boredom. Gor is fun don't get me wrong but gets boring very quick. There is never really a lot of people around and they don't always interact with you all the time so most the time as a slave you are sat around twiddling your thumbs. So if interested in this, think long and hard before hand.

Sounds like fun...investigating and experiencing the underbelly of SL and then pewfing when it get's more hairy than you're comfortable with. I seriously doubt that the slave gets the auction money. The "pimp or auction service" I think would get a large cut.

Is Gorean a lot different than BDSM? I had thought they were similar. Would any kind erson be willing to expand on the differences? I don't think I'm curious enough about the Gorean way to spend another afternoon as a slave in training.

The good thing about SL is that it all feels so safe. I suspect that I wouldn't want to meet the auctioneer in RL, not even on a crowded street. Disturbed and scary were the adjectives that came to mind to describe him. But there I was, safe on the other side of my monitor, just watching the circus from the safety of my computer room.

Some people can never be bothered to read the fine print. You might be right, but you shouldn't make that assumption. MY guess is that Ye Olde Slave Market Owner keeps it. You, after all, are a slave. You own nothing. You are not a person, you are a possession (not you personally, Rose. I'm talking about the slave/master mentality here.)

What isn't an odd SL experience? In this world, the fantastic is the every day. I might be able to come up with a top ten, but oddest? I dunno.

I agree with you. SL continues to amaze me. Often I am amazed with delight, occasionally, as in this experience, "appalled" is a better descrioption. Regardless, SL is like nothing I have ever experienced before.

Yes, that is the great thing about SL! You can experience some of the underbelly and know that you can simply log off or TP if things get too much.

I loved talking to this one master/slave pair and learning a bit about their world, but I cheerfully admit it's not for me. I'm a bit too much of a control freak for the slave part and a bit too lazy for the master part.

Honestly, it's kind of hard to label any moment in SL as anything other than odd. I've been the only human in room full of dragons, chatting like we were all friends.. instead of me being lunch.

I still think the oddest moment I have ever had was this one guy hitting on me and offering me 'protection,' in a sandbox. I simply dragged over the storm dragon folder to my avatar and *poof* the guy starts doing the typed equivalent of a stammer and high tails to the other side of the sandbox. *rolls eyes* Idiot.

BDSM'ers use a safe word and the Gor lot do not.

I checked one place and the slave gets half of the money and if they do it again they get two thrids.

There is much more to gor than the slave market. And there is much more to BDSM than gor. Be careful as you travel down that path, and ALWAYS play with someone you trust.
