AS a mom of five sons, I don't quite understand why anyone would want to RP pregnancy, but whatever floats your boat...
From: Charly Muggins
Sheesh. I came here to avoid that sort of stuff. I thought sl was supposed to be an escape from the boring real world. Next I know someone will lock me up for not having anywere to live and tell me I have to find a job.
From some of the people that I have talked to about this, they cannot have children in RL and are therefore role playing it here in order to somewhat participate in something they will never experience in RL

I ran into a minotaur with boobs a couple of months ago... I wonder. Was your example reaching for the absurd, or were you referring to something you've seen before?

I made the remark about not understanding why peole would want to RP pregnancy in a light vein. Of course I can imagine someone wanting to RP something they wish to have but cannot, whether it is pregnanct or youth or even just the ability to fly. My avs look like they are 20 years old (which I haven't been for several decades!) and like they work out at a gym for 8 hours a day. That's the beauty of SL. You can be and do anything you want.

Why men are happier than women =D:
Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple creatures?

LOL. However:
From: someone
You can 'do' your nails with a pocket knife.
Not those of us who play classical or fingerstyle guitar.
From: someone
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.
Until recently, that wasn't true for me either. At 50, I think I can finally grow a beard and mustache that won't make me look like a teenager trying to look older.

Still, I'll take being born as a man any day, simple creatures that we are! :D

And in spite of the issues women face, I'll take being born a woman any day. I doubt that men have fewer issues - just different issues.

Vive la difference!!

I'm not a Gorean or BDSM fan. This is the opinion of an outsider who has no moral or ethical objections to this kind of role playing. I believe that it can be either positive or negative, depending more on the emotional health of the players than on the game itself.

Again just to play devil's advocate, BDSM does not have to involve ANY roleplay at all, online or off :)

As to emotional health, never a truer word was said.

Oddest Sl experience is trying to copy and drag something and it kept returning to where I dragged it from but I have had more like this I just can't remember all the rest are adult related and not really going there at the moment.
BDSM is about consent, the pretty much bottom is in charge if the top wants to play with him or her.
I have been in the scene long time in real life and I would never be interested in that type of activity you mentioned personally.
I don't want that type of responsibility nor want to exploit people I play with like that..
Sometimes though there isn't aftercare or negation beyond limits and safe words it depends on the persons involved.
Most forms of online BDSM is just dominate and submission, based on fantasy thing and often not even close to real life play that I am use too.
Not everyone is into be submissive or dominate, nor is it about how they play.
I would have to agree with Cherry BDSM doesn't have to have any role playing involved especially when its strictly involving the S&M part.

Actually, men have fewer issues we have to deal with. The difference is that we deal with them alone.

Men have actually do have their own problems they just tend to keep it to themselves or are forced too because of how restrictive things are for roles around men.
I am odd ball as a guy, some may say I am not "real man" but my life isn't that simple as that list Rose
and it often is why I am not happiest guy in world either.
It's like saying all blond hair women are dumb, we know that isn't true.

You have to be joking. That is like me when I was a kid sitting in a cardbaord box pretending I was in a rocket to the moon.

I am of the school that happiness is an internal quality, not an external one. If I decide that I will be happy, then I WILL be happy regardless of privileges or issues. =P

What? I mean- Huh? I mean - sputter, choke and gasp!

My dear- women can be remarkably self-reliant - humans I should say, can be self reliant (damn it I was not going to answer Gor stuff!)- and some men can be whiny babies- what makes you think you guys have it cornered on dealing alone?

But since it is a Gor thread...

It all comes down to responsibility- Male or Female - the slave just abrogated her responsibility and turned all over to her Master- hopefully she chose well and he is not just posturing as some so called Masters turn out to be.

This definitely not coming from the POV of a slave.

Some people that RP the whole pregnancy thing is as close as they will ever get- be sensitive to their feelings on it even if you don't understand.

Well, most of women's problems begin with men:

1) MENstrual cramp
2) MENopause
3) MENtal anxiety
4) MENtal breakdown

You might be right. My wife tried on a false tummy when she was shopping for maternity clothes the first time and she cried for an hour.

Actually, this isn't a Gor thread. It began with an anecdote of an afternoon in training as a slave at a slave auction sim. The theme there was definitely nor Gorean. Not that it really matters. It's wandered all over the SL map by now. ^_^

I doubt that's exactly what he meant. I read it more as women having more opportunity to turn to friends than men. Not necessarily that we have to.

I'd say that the slave exchanges one set of responsibilities for another more than escaping responsibility at large.
