Sex in SL lets see what the majority is

My opinion, dont like it? tough. Did I say there was something wrong with novelties? Did I say you needed to be in a relationship to have sex? seems what you read isnt exactly whats been wrote. I think that has to do with lower intellegence, but it just might be the constant strain on your eyes from wacking off. Heres an idea for you, go you your fridge, get a cucumber ( if you could afford it ) and shove it up your *^$. Now thats real life baby!

I will confess to having had sex a few times during my early days in SL, after being persuaded other avatars. I suppose it was curosity on my part and I was wondering how good the animations were!

But I haven't had sex 'on-line' for a long time now. My 'in-world' sex life, if I have one, probably occurs off-camera in an undisclosed place while the RL snooper-computer is off-line!!!

However I am a naturist in SL so when I'm naked on the beach I sometimes get offers of sex but people shouldn't assume that just because I've got nothing on I'm after sex!!!

I have no objection to sex being possible in SL, I wouldn't ban it although I'd rather not be reminded of it every time I turn a corner!

As well as sex, in RL we all need to eat yet there are very few places where we can sit down for a meal. I have found a handful of restaurants, though, with eat animations and I quite often go for a fill-up of pizza or whatever.

What would Second Life be like with ID disclosure and no sex? It would be full of male avatars who see the whole place as a combat / griefing zone and furry female ones sitting on toadstools!!!!

Since when is writing not creative? It may be descriptive erotic writing, but it's still something that requires imagination and creativity.

You may feel that it's a creative and expressive form you don't agree with, and you're certainly entitled to that opinion, but to just outright dismiss any creative element in cyber only shows a personal prejudice against it which you're trying to legitimize by hiding behind a "crowd".

I read your poll to suggest that the majority of people do engage in SL sex. However as your poll is based on active forum users it's probably not representative of SL as a whole, but I'm looking at the same figures as you and getting a totally different impression.

That's the problem with polls that don't have simple yes or no answers.

But it doesn't actually paint a proper picture. It's like asking people if they've ever worn a box on their head... they might have once 2 years ago but it doesn't mean they regularly do.

So... addicted or frequently have sex in SL: 42.68%
Rarely or never have sex in SL: 57.32%

Seems like the majority "do not have sex frequently or consider themselves addicted to sex in Second Life".

You could also say that 92.84% do not consider themselves addicted to sex in Second Life.

Regardless, we are talking of removing something 65% of the population do use at some time. So should we piss off 40-65% of the population for the sake of 34% to have a sex free world?

Hey I'm not objecting to people having SL sex, I was just pointing out how the poll can be read.

The people who want a sex free world need to think carefully about what they wish for, there's a whole big economy issue linked in there.

Hehehehe, RL sex is great, but it does not hold a candle to SL/Cyber sex, when SL/Cyber sex is planned and done right, by two people who are good at it.

Don't knock it, if you have tried it with someone who knows what they are doing.

And although this poll will not reflect it, because the forums are not use but by a small portion of registered SL'ers, remember this. 95% of SL players are here for the sex.

Oh by the way, my life is great! Happily married, beautiful wife and loving it. But SL is MY de-stress tool, from work and RL. I come here to have fun and not be told what I can do and what I cannot do, when I can do something and when I can't do something. This is supposed to be my fantasy, limited only by my imagination. Especially when editorialized. There were no definitions of any of the terms. In addition importance of sex in SL was not asked, merely undefined frequencey.

I personally consider myself to be "rarely" having sex in SL if its less than 3 times a week. which when Im busy IRL or SL business does happen.

Someone else may classify that as being a SL sex addict.

I prefer the seedless attachments; a little more expensive, but go down a lot smoother.

The World of Warcraft ToS bans the sale of gold for rl cash ... but there are plenty of sites that offer it. Granted, Blizzard are taking legal action against "Peons for Hire" at the moment, but there's plenty of good money to be made in it, and people will continue to take the risk.
