RL sex is great, but it does' not hold a candle to SL/Cyber sex.

While the real thing between 2 people in the same room is far superior to Pixelized Particle Acceleration, there are some for whom RL sex is not possible, for a variety of reasons, and not just the Mom's basement crowd. So for them this is their outlet. Most of us have engaged in self pleasure at one time or another, and may have used various erotic materials to get us in the mood. This is no different in my opinion.



Besides , Brenda is pretty good at it. :)

However, i don't give a hoot who does have SLSex.

Though I do mind, and as has frequently happened lately, looking for something in the search, with mature NOT ticked and being faced with a RL pic of some female on her hands and knees with someones penis in her mouth. Perhaps it is this kind of thing that LL is actually meaning?

Basically if your Mature land is unflagged Mature you show up on PG searches (same with Classified listing non mature) - but you HAVE to abide by the narrower PG standards.

Yeah, SL sex is just a substitute for a lack of RL sex just as SL in general is a substitute for things that cannot be done IRL...millionaire stock broker, giant robot, cartoon dog with a gun, slave owner on a badly-written medieval alien planet...you know, the regular stuff!

I personally don't care what you do as long as you're not hurting anyone or intending to annoy me.

You see the problem with the forums are that there are plenty who rather than voice their real opinion, just throw a monkey wrench in things... why? Because they are unhappy about something in thier life so they dont want to see success on any level if its not directly instigated by themselves..

This is a classic example of "I'm going to do something wrong, because I feel your wrong"

I purposely asked for what peoples actions where since that is most relevant to what people really think as opposed to what thier opinion is, as opinions tend to be more leveled than a persons true actions.

As it sits right now the "majority" doesnt engage in SL sex. Therefore, I think its a good sign that is the true feelings of the "community"

The most powerful sexual organ is the brain, and visual/audial stimulation is but 2 senses, the sensation of feelings is definately helpful and indeed necessary for a lot of people, whether it be by themselves, others or mechanical means, but it is possible to certainly arouse someone a lot on coversation alone.
Yes it is similar to watching porn but better /worse in the way you are not dealing with a preprogramed series of events, the human being on the other end may do anything you like or don't expect.

62 ish percent say they do have SL sex

while 37 ish say they dont.

What majority are you talking about? you have to add the first 3 catagories together.

Im not flaming anything

Rarely isnt specific enough to decide whether they tried it and quit - Or if they have sex .. well .. rarely.

A lot of couples in SL do cyber once a month - thats rarely, right?

A lot of people have sex rarely in real life - doesnt mean they tried it and decided it wasnt for them.

If you wanted rarely to mean "tried it and decided I didnt like it" exclusively you should have said so.

Colette and I have been on opposite sides of some issues, but here she is right. You have 3 choices saying that SL sex has been engaged in by the person. You did not word the answer to say "Yes I tried it and now I don't want to be counted with all the perverts."

No, you asked two entirely different questions. The title is what do people *think* about sex in SL, but the poll actually asks what people *do*, which is something else completely. It's disingenuous and deliberately misleading.

The poll is meant to show how many people feel sex is a important part of SL and how many don, as it is , right now the overwhelming majority dont consider sex a important part of SL. And I tend to think LL feels the same too, so in this one aspect and poll, LL feelings and the majorities feelings are close to alignment...

I wasnt looking for opinions, I was looking for what peoples real actions are, we all know how pious some people can be when stating there opinions, so Pious to the fact that they dont really state thier opinion, but rather thier agenda which can differ from thier opinion and thier actions

How do you know that? Based on this Poll? How can you decide how people FEEL based on how often they cyber?

Furthermore -
How do you know if people who have SL sex rarely feel if its important or not? Maybe they like it quite a bit - once in a while.

My definition of Frequently isnt the same as everyone elses.

Do you interpret statistics for RL political parties or something?

Hmm... I'm straight, but I've been a very vocal advocate of gay rights for the past two decades. By your logic, that means one of three things:

You say you are not looking for opinion, yet you project your own opinion upon those who answered "Rarely". Someone can rarely partake of an activity and still feel it is important. The last church I attended offered communion 4 times a year. That is rare, yet it was still important. The rarity made it even more important.
