I am a little annoyed myself. Well.. a lot annoyed.
But I would be a lot more annoyed if I was one of the people paying 200usd or more a month. I do hope they'll compensate some how, but I dont know if that's realistic. |

The system gets progressively better with time. Sure, some things don't work as well as people would like, and sometimes things are out and out busted. But the get fixed, new features are added, and in the long run we're all able to gather in a pretty cool place and do some pretty cool stuff. So just chill out, eh? Start paying $200 a month then tell me to chill out. The system doesn't get progressively better; it's been doing nothing other than getting progressively worse, bloated with useless features like Streaming Video while fundamental aspects like logging in and teleporting remain broken. Hell, they can't even handle the bandwidth and load requirements they had before that video feature even came out. Linden seriously needs to hire someone who clearly understands priorities from the customer point of view, stop all feature development and FIX THE FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEMS. I fail to see why that's so hard for them to figure out. _____________________

Wow the matrix is broken! XD ROFL Yiffy! Actually, I think the lag/movement problems are something to do with the wireless card in my new PC. If I connect over wired ethernet its OK. Its wierd though, I have a different laptop which I use to access SL wirelessly and it never showed such issues. Hmm guess I have some investigating to do. Seems I can get onto SL fine this morning. Last night was a complete mess though. |

It does seem like letting people log in would be kind of fundamental. But I'd bet the streaming inventory has a lot to do with all the problems--

I work in a technical capacity within IT support/administration/technical and I have a lot of patience for this project as I know how development teams work and I know how systems work. Well, then you probably realize that usually beta software isn't something that in general is charged for. Some people here pay quite a bit of money for SL and the simple answer 'be patient' is kind of naive considering that hundreds of dollars per month are a little bit too much for a 'be patient until they get their software developed'. The current continous crashes, login problems and lag issues which definitely can NOT be all on client side, since almost everyone has them, are extremely annoying. The hope that the Tuesday patch will resolve this is fairly thin with me, since the last few patched have not helped much. Furthermore people can not login till Tuesday or only under extreme meassures which is definitely not something that can be ignored. |

I'm one of the ones paying $75US for my account - and I'm very unpleased. I've been trying since 9am to get in - and have been unable to get in. Tried with the preview version because well, I've been on SL since 3/05 and figured that they'd at least have my information for THAT. (Apparantly not though.)
So I sit here and fume, and wonder if I should tell my bank to cancel all charges from Linden Labs. Honestly that's not what I want to do - but they're support line isn't very supportive. Hell, I live like 90 miles away from LL - I'd love to join the team as a support specialist to help with these issues instead of having people turn to each other and bitch and complain like they do about such things - but apparantly my resume wasn't good enough for even a "F-O" letter... |

I'm getting tired of this crap. If it isnt log in issues, it's lag problems, or missing things from inventory. Every update brings more grief and less service for customers who not only pay monthly, but all the poor newbies who get sucked into this underwhelming experience. How soon would the problem be fixed if Lindens couldnt log into our accounts to receive their money? Those of you that continue to side with the Lindens must own stock or something, as for me, I'm pulling out after my time is up.

Ya well i been tring for 3 days and im totaly sick of it again just finished tring for 3 hours im not going to continue paying this game 100 usd a month to never get in next time i can get in im selling my land and tiering down to basic untill the day comes i can actually log in and play!

It makes me wonder why we should stay with SL and just build our own game... ![]() Good point Delpha, There are alot of good programmers on this game so maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to raise funds (instead of throwing it away for not being able to get online) and start a company to make our own game. Think of it, wouldn't it be nice if we had our own game, where all the players are owners too (hehehe lmao). I suspect to much money disappears into philips pocket. If they want streaming video, than they need more servers and bandwidth but i dont see them invest in that. If they want to grow they must put more money back into it. And ppl you are right more personal contact would be nice but i think they get to many complaints to do so. |

Friday evening it was taking an average of 20 minutes to log in. Saturday morning I have been trying for three hours with no luck.
I think Linden Labs should give us all free time for this. They are not delivering a produce that many of us pay a significant amount of money for. Last week I created a group called Second Life Users Union. I hope others will join this and we can elect officers and deal with the Lindens united. They don't care about individual complaints but if several hundred of us threatened action they will listen. |
