Log-In Problems

Well I couldnt get in last night but I managed to get in fine all day today until 3pm which is 7am in California I believe (7am Linden time at least). After this time I wasn't able to get in again.

Well, I'm on the east coast and I've been trying to log in since 2pm, its almost 4pm now and still a no go.........I'm about ready to give up, but just out of sick curiousity I want to know how long it might take, pffft I guess I don't have anything better to do today lol.

Hmmm... I'm going to check the preview...... I was in until around 1pm (12pm Linden time) and now? Riiiiiggghhhttt. I got a contacting user server once.. and it went RIGHT BACK TO THE TITLE SCREEN.

Okay, the preview isn't working either.. Even though I just downloaded it after the announcement!

Hurray , i was building and i manually type the sizes for prims when i build - wich usually end up crashes and thats what it did. (wonder when this one will be fixed, rare but still)

can i get in now, riiiight... eventually, maybe, soon, just hope my build dont go boom , took me a few hours to do.

I've been trying..for hours...argh Again! I had this yesterday also, my only advice is that you have to just keep going on and on and then like after your 201 time of trying to log in you might actually get to contacting user server then back to the log in screen, not actually promissing your going to get any further than that.

I know once i get in, i will never log out again .. Lindens will have to boot me off to get me out.

Can't they just go back to the last update?

Something amazes me about these forums.. if i may take a min to explain.. thanks.

Why does the forum always evolve into "I pay $9.95 per month" and "I pay $35,000 per month?" WTF does any of that have to do with anything? It seems the forum always evolves into a discussion of how much people pay and who should be entitled to what service/support etc. THE REAL ISSUE IS THIS.......

1. EVERYONE (not just some) pays for this game/service.. no matter what amount it is.

2. This is a product/service that IS being paid for and that product/service is NOT being rendered/delivered. PERIOD!

For those wanting refunds.. I agree. However due to the TOS you probably won't get one. There is recourse though.. just dispute the charges on your credit card, you will be credited back the money until the issue is resolved and LL's will have to wait to get your money until the issue is resolved. That is how the dispute process goes, check with your credit card company.. they'll verify this for you. <smile>

Furthermore, those that think that LL's is immune or cannot be sued for charging for a product and not delivering it are sadly mistaken.. cases such as these are heard daily all over the world and in most cases if the company cannnot deliver the product or if it is shown that they didn't.. the consumer wins. Yes, its a bit of work and trouble to do but if you are really that ambitious/pissed about it. .maybe that is the route you should take.

For me, I patiently wait yet again today but.. I am unsure how much longer I will do so.

That would be done in a sense if it was the answer. But it's not, and expanding and progressing and going forward (all of that good stuff ) are. Like it says in the Announcements:

I am so happy that I only paid the one time fee of 9.95. If I were someone who owned land and paid on a monthly basis I would be flipping out. They should get there money back. I mean this login issue is getting really old.

This really really sux.... I have a girlfriend in the game and some friends i really wanna see and talk to. So will someone get this crap fixed cuz this is tiring... and plus its tickin me off.

Well, it's 21:20 UK time and I've been trying to logon to SL for 3hrs now. I feel really disappointed!

i've got a feeling it would be easier getting back thru the birth canal than getting into SL or thru to the Lindens

Well - I'm happy a Linden, (Philip of all people) finally told us what was up. But still pretty pissed that 1.6.5 'may' fix it though...sigh

Just gets me mad when it was fine this moring i went in did every thing i needed to do loged off. Come back try log on sl oh gusse what cant get on

*Sigh* This is really REALLY frustrating I recently cancelled my other online game accounts to play exclusively here. *seriously thinks about re-opening the other and closing this one*

Ok i am confused, first of all i dont see any thread from Phillip Linden, and second all i dont see anything but the same old crap that was put on there earlier ... but I keep trying and trying and trying ........

Well the thing is, that people pay a hell of a lot less for other games that don't have these problems. Say you are leasing two cars from two companies. , and one never breaks down, and one always breaks down. I think thats a good analogy for the way some people feel here.

I'm sure they will work through it, its just very frustrating sometimes. When I get pissed about game performance I just use the forums as a punching bag, it makes me feel a little better thats all, lol.............

I'm new to this game and this has seriously ruined my enjoyment and put me off.

The funniest thing is a couple of times SL has attempted to blame my clock, saying it must have been set at the wrong time (it isn't) COME ON! Surely it can come up with a better excuse than that, at least the one along the lines off "SL cannot connect and we have absolutely no explanation for it" is a bit more honest.
