Ban Child Avatars Being Used for Sexual Purposes

It's one thing to argue about this issue in theory, but you don't seem to be putting forth any solutions that wouldn't be unfairly subjective, vague, and impossible to enforce. I'd be interested in hearing details on how a ban could be implemented fairly and realistically by LL. On the other hand, if you don't know how that can be done, then what's the point of arguing for it?

IMHO, just repeating over and over again the mantra that "child av pr0n in SL is wrong and should be banned!!!" without elaborating or responding to legitimate concerns raised in debate is not "doing something".

I'd also like to submit that in order to implement this "ban", you'd be descriminating against Little People/Dwarves/Midgets/whichever term is "PC" these days.

I have a great idea. Why don't people stop worrying about what two consenting adults are doing with one another.

Instead, stand in front of a mirror for awhile and think about YOUR actions and YOUR life and then take the appropriate measures to correct any behavior that might be less than desirable that YOU display.

Nevermind that there is no evidence of child porn with respect to this issue (other than "I walked into a club with a sexually charged atmosphere and there was a child avie there" ), but who cares? I am right and you are obviously a criminal!

It's simple really. All the Lindens have to do is to bring in a law requiring all avs to produce a legitimate birth certificate before having sex. Of course, the difficulty then would be that as an international community, there is a problem with different ages of consent (16 in the UK, 18 in most part of the States). So to be really sure, I suppose we could have a cut-off point of 20 years old, just to ensure we get everybody.

So all you have to do is to prove your avatar is at least 20 years old, and then you can have sex with no problems, secure in the knowledge that you have protected the children.
