Hmm, I'm not sure this post agrees with your assertion that 100% of your posts are worth reading. You will have to re-evaluate your assesment.

They're 100% something all right.

Unnamed persons are not adding anything to this discussion except some need for drama. I hope LL moderators will see that I asked what I felt was an important question. More so I hope they take note of those trying to derail this thread into some personal pissing contest between themselves and I.

I do not have the time or inclination to satisfy this need for trolls. Any person should be able to post any question to LL without fear of this type of strong arming. They have not mentioned one word regarding “security of the grid” in their responses. Therefore I see no need to reply to them directly.

I eagerly wait a response from LL regarding the security of the grids as I stated below.

I'm sure you didn't mean to bark an order at me, a friendly suggestion probably would of been best. But it was somehow lost when I saw your "eyes rolling" icon.

No, I didn't intend to bark an order at you. I don't bark orders at anyone, no matter how much they may deserve it.

And lest you misconstrue the intent of the eyerolling icon, let me clarify its intended meaning.

Roget's New Millennium Thesaurus contains, among others, the following synonyms for the word "ridiculous":

Absurd, bizarre, contemptible, daffy, farcical, foolish, impossible, incredible, and ludicrous.

I think any of them would be a fair substitute for that icon.

I have a name, the same one I started SL with.

So we can call you Catherine now, despite your crying about it a few months ago?

Can you make an emotions flowchart for us?

As another poster told you, if you want a direct answer from LL, this is not the place for it, even if they've interjected already. Moderators are moderators, not your personal Lucy. if they answer, great, but don't expect it.

I am not sure whats the real concern here. I would assume that SI/WF wanted to be 'independant' so that issues on the main grid, like grid attacks and other items (like updates?), would and could be totally independant from the their grid and fit their needs/downtime windows. Also maybe they wanted the option of purchasing and housing everything completely in their own data center. But reguardless of the motives, I fail to see the need for concern whether the teen grid is totally separate or just invisible from our main grid. What big worry is there over the teen grid being just invisible to us? Is it safety concern? IP concerns? I just dont get it.

I would like to know what security concerns/issues where noted by WF to LL. Those security concerns lead WF to leave the grid. Is this something we can fix so that in the future other companies will feel more secure on the main grid. As a consumer on the grid I feel I have a right to know about any security issues. As they may affect me or my personal information in the future. Those are my main questions and concerns Chris.

She's been on this kick about the kid grid since we first heard about it. She's trying to "save" the teens. Because you know, teens are pure of heart until they turn 18 as long as they aren't exposed to SL. I think keeping them out of SL should trump concerns about teen pregnancy, drug addiction, and violence. We know that SL leads to all of those, right?

You know nothing about me Nolan, please do not belittle me as a woman by speaking for me. I find this type of behavior to have its roots in sexual harassment and I will not tolorate it.

Irony.

You can take that sexism card and put it back where it came from. What a lowlife tactic. I don't care if you are an asexual, single celled organism, I would still find your logic warped.

Oh, and by all means, don't "tolorate it" <sic>, am I going to get a spanking now?

After reading 1000s of your drama addled posts, I think I know a little more than "nothing" about you.

I found absolutely nothing at all sexist in Nolan's remarks to date. I have, however noticed as a lurker, a seemingly pronounced effort on your part Cat/Martin (whether you consider yourself male or female) to deliberately stir up drama for the apparent enjoyment of doing so.

Dear LL;

It has been noted in a few articles I read this morning that SI/WF moved to Active Worlds they sited security as one of the reasons for leaving SL. "not really being independent from the rest of the grid".

Could you post links to the articles in question? Thank you.

This has nothing to do with my original post. My sexuality has nothing to do with this discussion and therefor I will not respond to posts such as this.

Well, come sit on the Confused Table with me. We can invent a new game using half checkers and half chess peices. It would make more sense.

That's a lot of linkage. How about some quotes?

Can you give us some quotes?

I'm really not, so I was hoping you'd save me some trouble by giving us some quotes.

Can we get some quotes?

None of your previous posts showed any interest in this topic what so ever. You expect me to believe your now interested. Your not, its your drama headgames bs again. I don't buy it.
