Jack - Why allow child avatars on Zindra?

The ageplay policy is about parcel content, not continent content. I'm sorry if this sounds repetitive but it's because the policy is not being contradicted. Jack Linden has explained the decision, it's due to the sexual ageplay policy being in place that restricts child av's from parcels where adult content is around or a clearly themed adult parcel.

There will be PG parcels on Zindra, the infohubs pretty much are PG.

Parcel content determines whether or not the presence of child avatars is inappropriate.

Restricted to PG regions? That's unreasonable. There are plenty of Mature rated regions with valuable, non-sexual content.

Adult rated regions are treated the same way. Content determines appropriateness.

There are also adult regions outside Zindra. Even in the unlikely event Zindra turns out to be wall to wall porn, the Adult rated regions outside it are not.

Yes, because as we all know every house comes with another house for the children, more than 32 meters away from the parents bedroom where they conceive the children. Thankfully this has been handled in First Life, and we *must* do the same in Second Life.

I fully support moving all children in First Life to another town even, separate from the adults, so there is absolutely no chance a child will be closer that 100 meters from possibly breeding adults.

Zindra will be the only place for adults who wish to RP as adults. The last thing they want to see are adults who want to RP as children. Sure there will be non adult content in Zindra but the point is that it is still rated adult.

The same goes for Mature. I still think that children belong in PG even if they are adults. Of course that is not happening so no need to beat a dead horse.

I've nothing against child avies. We each have a child within us. We all like Harry Potter or Disney, etc.. and it's fun to act silly and goof off. Please there is no room for that in Adult zoned areas, in my personal opinion. I wish they would understand it and not wish to have it all whereas the adult content only has one section of the grid. It's all about mutual respect and tolerance. It seems to me the adult community is being discriminated against.

There are many private estates dedicated to adult roleplay. I'd be surprised if they don't outnumber those on the mainland.

Zindra is not the only place for adults who wish to RP as adults, there are over 100 private sims classified as adult, I have one.

You can visit Bear because the mainland (outside of Zindra) is in the process of being cleared of all adult content. You setting up a parcel next to Adult Content in Zindra (while you are depicting your avatar as a small child) is inappropriate. And the Linden rules are not clear enough - or go far enough to discourage you from doing that. And you obvious do not have the ability to see that such a move would be offensive.

And under the current child avatar guidelines Imnotgoing can come on over there and hang out as long as she does not see a sex ball or sexual activity - eve though your entire adult private sim is marked Adult. And that is bad judgment and offensive to have a person role play as a small child purposely going to a Adult Content area.

Yes but we are not talking PE. We are talking about Mainland. Zindra is all that is left on Mainland for adult content.

Eek, please do not put words in her mouth. She never said any such thing. Secondly, they are not children. They are adults who wish to RP as children in an adult area. This is what she is against, not child avatars.

The point is that child avatars can't be visually PRESENT around or depicted in sexual content. This doesn't mean they're fully restricted from Adult content. Adult content covers MANY more facets than sex. (=_=)The Adult continent "issue" is the exact same dead horse. It just died more recently. And, I'm sooooooo not letting you take my (Mature) parcel away from me. (=_=)It's about what the upper allowance of content is for the region. That's the thing though.... Upper allowance. Adult is not "sex now and all the time. Attach your primnis at the door or leave in 10 secons!" (=_=)

If you remember, SL5B was rife with problems over kid avatars at the PG event because we were placed in the same class as Gorean RP in regards to what "represents SL". At the time, the PG kid avatar community wasn't "PG" in terms of being able to represent themselves in the SL5B celebration. After large amounts of resistance, the floodgates were opened, and nobody was harmed in the process... Except for the pride of a limited few. So... If kids AVs can't be (Mature), can't be (Adult), and can't be (PG) without a fight... What can they be? (=_=)

Nobody is taking away YOUR freedom to buy YOUR parcel on Adult land and establishing YOUR rules on that parcel. Do it! Feel free! We're not here to stop you and will give you nothing extra to worry about. But, if I own a parcel there. Understand that it will be MY land and MY rules withing MY boundaries. I surely won't fit your sensibilities, but you do not hold any burden of being accused of a violation just because my land is adjacent. The rules are as stated and in following them as they exist now, there is little to fear. (^_^)

Imnotgoing - if it is marked ADULT CONTENT - then a child should NOT be near it - no matter if it is sexual or not. You obviously have not cared for children you loved or you would not be so cavalier about such depictions.
Yes, that was the second major turmoil caused by child avatar people. And this is third. When will you people catch on? Child avatars are the only ones with special sanctions (which do not go far enough). Boasting that you can build next door to Adult Content on a Adult marked Sim is not developing good will.
