From: Chris Norse Judging based on initial appearances does. In some circumstances, yes...like while walking down a dark street alone and being approached by a stranger. I really think you're stretching the point here though. Yes, we're pretty much all apt to form opinions based on initial impressions, but what you do with that is up to you. Automatically write someone off, not because you perceive them as a threat, but because they're not 'your kind,' then, yes, you're being shallow. From: someone And what a person drives does say something about them. Or do you take lots of rides with strange men in white panel vans? If not, why not? Are you prejudging them? I don't get in any vehicle with anybody I don't know. Period. It has nothing to do with judging an individual or a certain group of people.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

From: Chris Norse It is basic survival, not shallow at all. Not sure about your situation, but nothing in SL is a threat to my basic survival.

From: FD Spark Yeah points to location by name I am in Seattle. We had rare snow over weekend some of the snow is still on roofs cause it's been too cold for it to melt. Sounds pretty the Pines, Oaks and apple trees covered in snow, and Vivaldi. Hope you got some nice yummy hot chocolate and tea, taking good care of yourself. Holidays can be challenging, stressful time for everyone regardless of what is going on. I thought you were in UK. Seattle is more known for it's rain then snow, usually in winter or most recent winters we have mild weather, mainly rain rarely does it get extremely cold but once every four years we get snow. /FD goes back and ponders X rated Dragons and Dragon's in sheep skins for some odd reason. I think I am either bored or horny but I keep chasing my tail and it keeps getting away but I am not going to drop 10k in lindens in the quest. LOL I go back and forth in real world across the pond I didnt have hot choclat BUT did have a ONE piece of fair trade milk chocolate from Ecuador which is truly great -milk-essence and chocolate-back-of-tongue honey-stripper of a piece. Chase teh tail FD, chase teh tail.

From: Kyllie Wylie Ann you are the standard all Neko's are measured from. I thought the ISO standard Neko was stored in a temperature- and humidity-controlled vault in Paris.

From: Gabriele Graves Oh I am well aware I am in the class of only one of the top types of predators around, though funnily enough not much else seems to like eating vampires... There's at least a couple of good SF stories in that.

From: Ann Launay True, but I'll refer you back to something I said earlier:
While I've certainly succumbed to the impulse at times myself, I just don't think it's OK to excuse ourselves from being shallow due to 'human nature.' It's a cop out. I wasn't excusing anything. And I am not advocating acting on those impulses. I said that when we come across people who are different from us in any way, we should tolerate those difference, and cause them no harm And if we are not able to accept what they may be we should peacefully move on.

LOL You can actually get this chocolate at a main supermarket here. BUT if you want ultimate pleasure buy Horlicks and make a hot milk Horlicks drink at night. I am addicted to it. Its like Ovaltine but more malty. Also make toast and spread with marmite. Its better than sex.

Yeah these days I seem to gain more pleasure from Chocolate then chasing tail. LOL If I get a chance I will try to find it, not much into Ovaltine, the malty taste sort of distracts the chocolate flavoring to me. Certain things on the East coast or Midwest aren't available on the West Coast for some odd reason. Only reason I know is my rl partner is from Chicago and he is always talking about food he can't find here that I never heard of. /FD goes and finds chocolate. Wishes he had some Nutrella for toast.

Horlicks is malty. Actually why not have a REAL change and get a curry? I just had an urge for a Vindaloo. And dont forget to add a couple of pieces of super dark chocolate to teh curry to enrich teh sauce.

I wonder if it is like Mole sauce. Not sure I spelled that right. Darn really hungry I was reading skin tutorials instead of making breakfast.

From: Brenda Connolly I wasn't excusing anything. And I am not advocating acting on those impulses. I said that when we come across people who are different from us in any way, we should tolerate those difference, and cause them no harm And if we are not able to accept what they may be we should peacefully move on. Forgive my confusion, but you slapped a 'QFT' on someone who basically said that they wouldn't voluntarily talk or even say hello to someone who falls outside of their preferred criteria. From: Rhaorth Antonelli (by move along I mean I do not go out of my way to say hi, or to strike up a convo, etc)
That doesn't strike me as very tolerant, and it certainly doesn't indicate any attempt to discover whether that person might actually fall into the land of 'accepted.' Nope, it's "You have a furry butt...begone!" Having some reservations about someone because they do X is one thing, making that the end of the story is another.
