Are you talking to Briana the Elf/Faun or the person at the keyboard controlling the Elf/Faun? well in some cases the person at the keyboard WANTS you to address them as though they are the "insert avatar type here" and frankly that gets annoying I would much rather talk to the person, and have the person talk back It is annoying when speaking to say a neko, and they only purrr or meow back... F that I am out of there  Or a dog that barks at you, or a wolf that howls, or .... you get the idea.... (and yes that has happened to me too many times, which is why I don't bother trying anymore)

I don't treat everyone as assumed over 18 cuz I know differently that it's not so. However, when you start talking to someone, you can start to get a feel for their age, especially in my experience because I'm not on SL to role play and I've talked to a lot of people who are just being themselves, discussing their rl likes/dislikes. I'm there to talk about music more than anything. |
