the only real question left IMO, in sight:

What does your LindeX and transaction history show, Chaos?

A big thumbs up on this question...answer please. ;)

Although I'm about certain what it will be. His Linden transaction history will show someone Linden purchases and the money sent somewhere else. Basically, someone got his password, logged in purchased Lindens and laundered them. Simple internet fraud case. I'm convinced we'll never get that clear of an answer from Chaos though.

This has been, depending on the post, the most maddening, frustrating, and hilarious thread I've seen anywhere. At times I have just wanted to pull my hair out, but I keep coming back to see what happens next. Will Rebecca say something else completely insane? When will I pee my pants from laughing too hard at Trout and/or Vampaerus? (It's only a matter of time.) Will Chaos ever make sense.....and...if he's English, why does he not know how to spell "phone?" Will Blizzard come to us to save us from ourselves? Or do we have to settle for Rebecca's heroism? Will Chaos ever make sense? Is this the thread that brought back Brenda from the void? And is she sorry now?

Okay, I have to go now. I just got an email from some girl in Russia who wants to be my sexual friend, and she sent a picture. My gut tells me that to download the picture is not a smart thing to do as far as internet security goes. But the Chaos inside says open it.

Decisions, decisions......

I really think that LL needs to get it's billing act together. First off, it should all have the same name with location amended. For example: Linden Research Inc. US or Linden Research Inc Ireland. None of this Secondlife.com/Second Life, or other forms. This way, there is no doubt about who is billing and one can reasonably report all others as fraudulent.

Also, they need to make absolutely sure that they have the North American/South American billing going to their US bank and all else going to their overseas. Also, they need to make sure that the overseas stuff needs to get to the Ireland bank. It's simply unfair to make us pay foreign transaction fees where they have branches.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for this.

Agreed. Each and every transaction from LL should look exactly the same to everyone. No wonder our banks get confused, and put stop payments to SL, if LL can't even represent itself correctly. Jesus. What a joke.

Disagreed! I'd rather be able to tell the difference beween in-world buys, web page LindeX buys, automatic buys from an auction win, etc, etc..

I will agree that they need some standardization, though.

I meant to your bank account; we don't need banks to be reporting transactions from/to
Linden Research Inc, Linden Lab, Secondlife.com SECOND LIFE.COM, etc etc.

/me too! Though I think the upper case/lower case thing is done by the bank itself. I get all transactions, SL or not, reported in all upper case.

I wouldn't mind seeing "Linden Lab LindeX", "Linden Lab InWorld" etc..

I'm not surprised that a customer service rep doesn't like being sworn at...

I've worked in customer service several times and it was standard company protocol that if a caller used foul language or became verbally abusive in any way we were to politely state that if the caller continued to use foul language we were going to hang up and they could call back when they could speak civilly(or words to that effect).

The response was about 50/50. Some apologized and the conversation continued. The others were still swearing as my finger disconnected them.

I just fail to understand how anyone in their right mind thinks that swearing will somehow advance their cause.

Me? I swear like a docker when the mood takes me, but never in a situation like that.

Here's another good question: How is the OP going to be able to afford Second Life, if his/her bank refuses all charges from LL?

Call taking for a repair center was my task. It was more like 50% apologized, 25% got hung up on and the other 25% proposed marriage.. O.o; *shake her head* Cursing got one put to the back of the repair line.

Civility. Professionalism when dealing in a professional environment. The ability to regulate your speech. Every other British citizen I have ever met, and it has been quite a few, has had no problem with self monitoring, so "I'm British, what do you expect" is inadequate and an insult to your fellow countrymen.

Now, what does the L$ transaction history say, please? Try to cut and paste it so we get an accurate answer devoid of foul language.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Simon Cowell does insults in great style. You don't. Sometimes, you hardly do coherent speech in great style. *coughs*

My apologies for the above comment I made if thats the case. I was pretty sure I had read every page over the last few days as this thread was going on and never saw an actual copy and paste or definite wording from the history.

I must have missed it too. My apologies for my comment as well if that is the case. I just haven't seen it.

He hasn't answered the question, and he doesn't want to. I'm British too, and we Brits do understand english, so he did understand the question, but he doesn't want to answer it. I imagine that's because he realises that he's screwed up.

What he did say/imply (in that quote) is that the transaction was for the purchase of L$, otherwise nothing concerning it would show in the his L$ transaction history. So, unless he's just waffling, he's been screwed by someone other than LL - if any of what he's said is true, of course.
