Malachi's numbers are right: We've got L$56,000 pledged in cash so far. Hooray!

As far as offers for skills (building, scripting, artwork, etc):
3Ring Binder
Michael Bigwig
FD Spark
Alicia Sautereau
Har Fairweather

Objects/Stuff:
Derbor Torok
Dytska Viera
Annabelle Babii
Chris Norse
Ashlynn Dawn

I finally wrote down who all has offered what and am going to try to Keep Track from now on LOL.

I have quite a few textures if needed as well. I won't claim to be a top notch builder.

I'd like it to be newbie friendly as well. As far the excess space, many of us love flying, skydiving and other outdoor pursuits, so the more open land the better.

Yes - newbie friendly is a given. Honestly, I can't wait to crash a biplane into the bar.

@Chris: I think it was Hog Heaven. Really nice, but you could park a 747 in there. It's way too big for what we're doing. It has a lot of design elements that I think would work well with what people are suggesting, though.

almost every club Ive ever been in in SL is too big., too much like a hanger or Bowling alley.

Take a Look at "Schmooze".

thats what I consider a realisitc sized club interior.

From the looks of the generosity of folks here, we are in great shape to get a 4096 in a lovely area. Even though we have more tier for a much bigger plot, I don't think we should go there. Better to keep us together than have us wandering off into the flexi bushes. I will work with Sarah to pick the plot.

You guys are amazing with all the donations.

EDIT: If this is turning into a hangout/fly or sail your vehicles venture then maybe we should consider a larger region. Maybe we should wait and see how we are for tier and cash at a certain point and set a deadline. At this rate, we would be able to get half a sim.

I second this. I like the idea of hosting a small sandbox for forum noobs, and to be useful we would need some prims/land for that. A 4096's 937 prim allocation gets eaten up pretty quickly in a sandbox! How do others feel about this?

I've never administered a sandbox, but I would think we'd want it to be actually on a separate parcel (adjacent, presumably), so we could administer its permissions differently than those in the roadhouse itself. Maybe we could even put the sandbox surface in the sky, with a gentlemen's agreement to stay up there, and use the land surface for trying out each other's bikes and suchllike.

yes but just a club is not all you can look at. It can be a total rereation area, club, playground, maybe a few cottages for people who need a private place for a little bit, etc. If we are going to do this than we should look beyond what normally is done. It could down the line be a rec area/Info hub. So keep the minds open citizens.....your queen is watching you......

managing a sandbox is easy, doing that with my island allready(don`t ask...), so if a position is needed i can do it with ease LOL

I agree with Raymond that size isn't absolutely necessary (well, in SOME cases) but it might help with prim count. Just a thought. And we don't really need "lovely" do we? As long as it's lower lag, it can be full of ad farms as far as I care. Just one girl's opinion though... ;)

I do think that the sandbox section should be subdivided off from the club part. We can leave the club open to all and the sandbox only for group members. It isn't hard to join the group and that allows us to control access a little better.

Latest thought (thinking bigger due to the big generosity being displayed):

We wait on the land purchase until we have a sense of where the total tier/fund donation wave puts us. Give it a deadline, like one week from today. Then we tally up what our resources are and decide if we are going to have a dive bar on a 512 or an island with four 1/4 regions surrounding it for sailing and barnstorming.

This is genius. Are we going to have room, though? I guess we can always go up, but if we run out of prims, we're sort of stuck.

My little hole in the wall runs 330 prims. And that includes two 25 prim drink trays and a line dance set up.

Figgie is right. let's go step by step. We can expand as needed, I have my 512 in tier till in reserve, and i'm sure there will be more, and the Royal reasury, while not limitless, will be able to make periodic endowmwnts. Just don'tlose sight of what we want to do and why. I must admit the discussion so far has eased a lot of my apprehension, I think you guys may actually make this work.

Brenda, I like the way you're thinking. Only one caution...we don't want to bite off more than we can afford the upkeep on. But Fig will keep us from stepping in that one.

I wuld have donated my free 512 tier, but it looks like there's more than enough already. I'll send a cash donation to the group's alt when he's up and running. I'll be happy to help with building...I'm still very new, but people have told me I'm good with swimming pools.

Agreed. Let's give this until Thursday, September 20, 5 pm SLT for us all to finally get our acts together. Trout will create his alt, people can donate money to the alt, tier to the group, etc up until that point. After that, we get what we can with what we have. Otherwise we'll all just keep running around like chickens with their heads cut off, trying to figure out what we want.

We still need two volunteers to do the main building construction.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I can help with building. But someone else will have to do the roof, if we want anything other than a flat roof. My pitched roof sucks.

This sounds good. People who are donating tier can go ahead and donate it to the group without waiting for me to make the trust account. We'll reasess next week when we have a bigger picture of what we have. This is only worth doing if we do it right, so there is no need to rush into action until we have a solid plan of action.
