after starting to post here earlier, i had a visit from: reiko Falta (screw not naming)
he placed several spy scripts across the land, i`d recommend checking for spy scripts when u can as this would be a good target to get some attention for their grief

he sucked at it aswell, only took 2 minutes to find it after he tp`d out (long live estate tools)

We have Chris as builder. We need one more person.

There are plenty of sandboxes in-game that are much better venues for experimental builds. For example, the Ivory Tower of Primitives has an associated sandbox *and* teaches people how to use it. We want conversation and music but not random "I made a cube" space.

One of the more successful clubs of this nature did have build allowed with a very diligent "manager". This allows visitors to add decorations, dance balls, and such while having one person ensure that her view of what should remain was enforced. As much as the Forum Cartel Club is a "stone soup" project, it would be nice to allow people to add their metaphorical carrots to the place. But, these would be returned if it doesn't meet the feelings of the house manager. I can't stress enough that there has to be one (or two) people who are the final and uncontestable arbiters of the aesthetics of the space.

A goodly number of people have offered their building skills; this is appreciated. Having been around for far too long, I have found that the most avatar friendly builds are that which have very sparse structures. A fabulous example is Viola Bach's build at Tan 84, 107; the space is clearly defined but is well suited for fly-ins. Someone had asked me if I'd like to be master builder on this. I have had my time of "great" builds and would prefer to let someone else have a try. I would certainly be willing to consult with the builders but purely in an advisory capacity to be ignored at will.

Is there anyway we can look into getting some games?(Like Slingo,trivia etc....)

I thought we already decided on mudwresting and pillow fights?

And I'm pretty sure SLingo is on the 'hair' list.

I am,just waiting until they bill me for the month,so my tier fee doesn't go up to $25. Should be Sunday.

ETA-I play games inworld all the time. Free games and the payout is from people/person donating. I wasn't suggesting gambiling.

I can do pitched roofs, so I don't mind giving Chris a hand... am also online a lot the next few weeks

I was really in love with the thought of having a small Forum sandbox, but maybe you're right here.

None of that Creator vs non Creator crap. you can donate money, tier, time, or nothing at all. You may only have ideas, sometimes they are the most valuable. You may have a kind word for a newbie that wanders by. It doesn't matter. Any of that class warfare bullshit and my wrath will be felt, So shall it be written, So shall it be done.......

Slingo is a lag monster. There are other table games like Karsten Rutledge's "Greedy Greedy" which are not gambling games and are written well. These are the kind of games that you can play yet still converse.

I also happen to have a couple in my inventory.

I edited my post. I go to places like the shelter and play games. The games are free and the prizes are donations. Heck I don't even care about prizes,I just like playing games,lol.

Re: Sandbox: I think people are still on the fence with this one. I sort of like the idea but then I agree with Malachi that there are a gajillion sandboxes already out there.

No you won't be ignored. All suggestions will be considered. I do agree that the sandbox may be best left to other places, unless someone wants to host a sandbox for the group on land they own.

Ok so it seems Incarus and Chris are the Chief Builders. All ideas, issues, suggestions and Union Officials looking for kickbacks go through them.

Personally, I love the sandbox idea EXCEPT that there are no restriction regarding who can join the Cartel and obviously we want to keep it that way. That makes it to easy of a target for griefers IMO
