Try DJing since 11.30 AM "just in case" the grid comes up.....
I'm so sick and tired of the waiting and the stupid newsposts that say nothing at all....
I feel like a bunch monkeys could make a better grid then LL.... what a joke.. no wonder SL will never grow if its supported by a bunch of incompetent fools...

Nope - just someone sitting here and waiting for the Grid to come back up - I have no patience for whiners and if I was on the team doing all these fixes .... I'd have deleted all of the data, all of the backups, all of the customer information and handed in my resignation along with one final mass E-mail telling everyone to be happy they caused the total destruction of a program they're addicted to. lol |

and apparently you don't know about the BETA grid LL uses to test out the new fixes. if you gonna be a fan boy get your facts together dearie.  The BETA Grid has not been updated for quite some time Dearie .. Get YOUR facts straight hmm? 1. There's nothing to 'get'. The grid is down, they're updating and testing the systems to see if the fixes took and if there are any further issues that may have been missed. 2. This is their update schedule - deal with it or move on. I don't know what you do for a living but I can only presume you do not work in the IT industry. This type of thing occurs at any company. S*** happens. However, when this type of thing occurs on such a consistent basis then heads will roll. I am not a Linden basher, Solar. But this is a very basic in this industry. If what you have to offer is a web service then you better have that service up and running. Try to imagine a store having to close this frequently on a regular basis. Again, it happens from time to time. But imagine if that store consistantly has to close down and on top of that they always say they will be open again at noon only to have customers waiting out front because they never open til 2 or 3. A store operating in that manner will not stay open very long. |

Erm, you have a fair point if you live in rainbow land, LL suggested they would be done for 3 hours or so European peak time, they've been down for 7+ hours now, I work as a Systems administrator for very important people, we have a strict SLA if we can't deliver we roll back .. I don't think you have any idea of IT service delivery. Simply put LL have lost a lot of European custom and revenue tonight. Like I said kiddo - either get a Job with Linden Lab and show them how to do it or make your own program and Grid. I frankly don't care what job you claim to have - it's irrelevant here. This is not the place you claim to work at. |
