The way Linden Lab has crafted the Adult Content policy, they have guaranteed Zindra will not be all adult content.

i have the picture but at the mo flickr wont allow me to upload it. if you visit each info hub and go into the cafe, you will see above the counter/bar area a sign that Marianne(sp) mentioned in her earlier post. the picture i have is of the Ortiz/Gilda info hub.

Do you think I am wholly without context when it comes to how "adults" feel about this situation - what you call "fear"? Well, I call it hysteria; and I'm pretty sure I'm aware of the way people "feel" about this because there is an exactly analogous "fear" in the child-av community (as it were), the only difference being a reversal of roles.

Ever wonder why you see entire sims dedicated to Gor, or free sex orgies, or furries, or Star Trek RP - but you don't see a lot of sims dedicated to child RP? They're out there, believe me, but you don't hear about them. Why? Because child avs only tell other child avs about them. Again, why? Because they're afraid. Of being griefed, falsely AR'd, and so on. The fear is not so prevalent now, true enough - but during the time period around six months after I joined SL, it was there - the adult-hysteria. It was a practically obsessive fear. There was one particular mania in which kids were afraid of being falsely AR'd for underage as a form of griefing. The hysteria is why kids typically kept to their own sims - and still do (though perhaps now more out of simple habit).

But it was nonsense. I tried to be the voice of reason a few times - you can check my bi-annually-updated blog for evidence - but of course everybody knew somebody who knew somebody who knew of one real life example, and that was enough to maintain the irrational culture of fear.

Look at what you're suggesting. You're suggesting that on land classified as "adult", a child avatar can stroll into a sex club and get everyone inside banned. That DOES NOT EVEN MAKE SENSE.

There's been sex clubs all over the Mature mainland forever, and kids are allowed on Mature mainland. So how many entire clubs have been wiped off the face of the grid because of aggressive child-attacks? A hundred? fifty?

Now, were there in fact two griefers on Zindra yesterday wearing child avatars and screwing with people? Don't know, wasn't there. But I can absolutely believe it - just as I can absolutely believe that an entire kid-themed sim was brought down by a pair of griefers dressed like furries running around dropping self-replicating "Yiff in Hell" cubes all over the place, even though I didn't see THAT happen either. The group chat was singing with the sim owners' explainations of what they were doing to repair the sim as the attack was happening. But am I to gather from this that furries are "out to get" child avatars? No - that's stupid. To say that would be allowing myself to be gripped by hysteria.

So a couple of days ago, a child av visited Zindra - remaining inside an infohub in which sex and nudity was explicitly banned, despite it being an "adult continent". That was all that was there - a non-nude infohub, and acres of empty grass, with a couple of roads here and there. This asks so hotly for a reckoning? This needs to be banned by the Lindens?

Hysteria.

Trust me, if you put up a sex club on Zindra and some child av walks inside it, you'll be able to mass-AR with impunity. That's the way it's SUPPOSED to work. There's no whatsoever to think it won't happen that way...unless you've allowed the hysteria to convince you otherwise.
