Again, my five temp rezzers aren't going to do anything much. Again, the sim was shit before I put them out a few days ago. Again, the number of scripted objects on my parcel is five. Five. Oh sorry, six, I have a teleporter up to my work platform as well.

My store is designed to be as lagless as possible. Even barring that, even if I disabled the rezzers, the sim would still be shit.

The sim doesn't run like shit when no one but me is in the sim. I know this because I've been present after a reset and the sim runs fine until people start showing up.

And again you're missing the basic points.

People in one spot lag a sim. If this were a temporary thing, at peek times for a club, for a music event etc, that would be one thing. It's 24/7. The number of people in the sim rarely drops below 20. They are all AFK. They are all sucking out resources that I, my neighbors and our customers would rather be using because this guy is trying to keep his crappy-looking casino in the popular places list. There is absolutely no way you can tell me it's fair for someone who owns 1/8th of the sim to continually use a majority of its resources and a majority of the sim limit. If it were once in a while, or even once a day, that would be different. It's not. It's perpetual. That's selfish and it should be stopped.

So we have a thread which consists of complaints about use of camping chairs.

They are advised to go to the Lindex and buy Lindens as surely they can afford it and their activities are unfair to other users.

We have those who offer camping chairs called out as the are just using a workaround to achieve their objective

We have another sub-discussion in the thread about a user who has too many prims for their plot and works around by using temp on rez.

That user is not advised that they should pay for extra tier as surely they can afford it.

You are new and therefore the work around to get you some lindens to buy L$1 items is unreasonable.

I have been here for ages and the work around to save me money so that I can sell my items is perfectly reasonable.

The comparison of my five scripts to 20/25 avatars is insignificant. My five scripts do NOT cause as much lag as the avatars. But just to make this discussion easier, I deleted all temp-on-rez scripts, I have two scripted objects on my parcel now; one gives a notecard, the other operates my teleporter. Guess what? Sim still runs like shit.

Yeah, 1, having the camping pads is pretty intentional.

Furthermore, when we all asked the guy to tone the camping pads down, his reply was "I think I'm going to go make some more," and he did, nearly tripling the amount so now he has more camping pads than residents can be in the sim.

I'm not interested in having to wait for a Linden to reset the sim every time I want to build. I'd rather the fucktard have some consideration and respect for the rest of us.

And for what it's worth I've deleted all my temp devices and the Lindens have rebooted the sim twice and it's no better once the campers descend. So please, stop acting like people have nothing to do with the problem. Because they do.

Im not acting like people arnt the problem but there are clubs and other places out there that are more stable that have people there constantly during the day. I didnt say people werent the problem but that there are other factors that are causing the Lag aside from people. Also you can try to argue people all you want there are 10 people in the sim other then me atm and i still lag. Care to elaborate on that one hmm?????? 2 of which are not even at the casino that makes 8 people total in the casino. While it was a jerk move for him to add more how was he confronted calmly or did someone get harsh and nasty with him about it people sometimes dont respond well in that aspect.

Again though im in the Sim 1/2 the people same amount of lag. Now if its definately the people then answer me this. How is it that there is the same amount of lag with half the amount of people as earlier in the same exact sim? Call a linden over im sure they'll appreciate the signs you have scattered around the sim to. You say the guy did it to stay on the popular list as well his traffic would need to be about double + 3k what it is for him to even think about getting on it. Ya so lets ignore the fact that the sim lags with 1/2 the people and there is no way the guy would get on pop list with his traffic. And just say its the people lagging the sim.

As i have stated numerous times many sims as of late have been lagging. With or without people in them. Time dilation going down to .2 and sim fps going below 10 with half the people showing it is now lagging worse in the sim then it was with more people. Lets just toss that out the window K? I never said you should remove your temp on rez stuff i was stating that they do pull resources. The sheer fact im still lagging in the Sim kind of moots your point to the people being the problem unless your going to say in all honesty that you dont think a sim can take 10 people. I'd also like to point out there is a sim Diagonal from that one that has 36 people in it right now. i'd like to point out that it has the same stability as your with 3 times as many people in it.

These are people building and messing with scripts and stuff to with about double the scripts running in it. I've looked at at least 20 sims over the last month that i have been to before that didnt have problems that now all of a sudden started having problems. Nothing added to them. Care to elaborate on that? If the sims cant handle 10 people there is definately a problem with other aspects of the sim or stuff setting in the sim. I'll also point out that the problems i saw arnt with every sim but alot of them. Its likely due to bad scripting as opposed to people if the sim was reset and it still did it. Which was what i was trying to say that there are other aspects that are not the people.

It could be his games, the camping seats themselves, other scripts in the sim, to many other things. It's highly unlikely the people and if it is the people you need to speak to LL about the sim because thats F'ed up if its lagging with 10 people.

The method used to ask me to "tone it down a little" was those big signs you see. But they were'nt outside my building, that would have been fine, they were IN my building and 10+ copies on the side of my building, blocking one of the enterances. (I sub-divided a section of the parcel the night before and forgot to set auto-return).

There's also a thread entitled "Ban Campers" where he posted a picture of his handy-work and posted the IM I sent him in a public forum. He IMed me the day prior telling me my building was ugly and offering to help fix it, I was busy and put off responding.. I wake up the next morning with signs all around & in my building.

I said I should add more camping chairs now just because I shouldn't reward vandalism, but I haven't added/removed a single chair, it's the same as it was from day 1.

Last week the OP *rented* a small plot next to my building and within 3 days he was putting up signs, taking pictures, posting them in a public forum, posting my IMs to him in a public forum.. Not since that day had I received a single complaint (in fact 2-3 thank you IMs/Letters weekly). He also stated he keeps having the sim rebooted..

He also stated I have more camping pads than can be allowed in the sim... This is no way even close to truthful, there are 40 people allowed in the sim, there is no way in heck I have that many dance pads..

I even have outside scripts turned off so most scripted attachments don't work, a helicopter should fall out of the sky if it flys over my land.. I own over 10,000m in the sim and have been there for months, the person complaining rented a 512-1024m plot next to me and insisted I change according to his will since day 3. I've never seen more than 30 people in the sim and it has a limit of 40, nobody is ever locked out.

I've been in many empty sims that lagged worse than sims with 30 people in them. The other sim I operate in has 20+ people there all the time and I always get comments from people how suprised how the place isn't laggy with so many people there, so I really have to doubt I'm causing all the percieved lag..

This conversation will really never end and I'm too busy to bother much with it. Truth is if they had come to me in a diffrent manner I would have bent over backwards to accomidate.. But the fact is they are blaming me for lag that isn't my fault and they never get locked out of their sim. I don't detract from their enjoyment of SL, but they have constantly harrassed me in every imaginable way since they moved in.. I've considered downsizing for diffrent reasons, but I would hate to appear to reward such behavior in light of recent actions..
