I got my swap yesterday. 512 single for 512 double-prim. A little closer to the water but the land has no character at all. Sky store is back up and so is house. I reopened the ticket to see if my ex-neighbor could get the land or if I should abandon it right away since I don't need it other than the LM giver.

The date below is the update from the re-open. The actual swap was yesterday.

@Lord, where on the wiki are the swaps being recorded? I searched all over and couldn't find it. Maybe you should raise the link or something to a top page level.

EDIT: Additional info

Hi Snickers ;-) Congrats;-)

I think the link you searched is here:

Congrats and good score on the double prims. :)

It's looking slow lately on the wiki, I'm hoping they are busy sorting out appeals... because there sure is a lot of land left.

Seems quieter here now that people are getting land and likely going off working, I know I am. TONS of work to do, thanks to the Gods, Grrrrr!

Yes. I guess the early birds were the ones doing all the posting. I've still got an open ticket from 4:31pm on the first day. Hoping it might go to WIP today. Anyone out there with move tickets from the afternoon hours of the first day that have closed?

The place with lace curtains instead of walls, lace ceilings instead of a roof, and a center pool fountain?

Yes it is :p

Mind if I borrow your fountain now & then? I don't have a shower or bath at my place. ^)^

Off course it had to happen when I was on vacation :-(
07-20-2009 04:10
Ok I've been away on vacation for 10 days and of course our number came up while I was away so my partner had to deal with the group land - I must say the process was less than straightforward especially as she has never had much dealings with the land stuff.

Our ticket was submitted 10.26

#4051-6484648

Pprocessed on 15th July

Ist off we were allocated a parcel in in one of our OLDER selections. We had placed 3 updates in the comments after the new land was opened. It seemed that the comments were ignored or not read.

The land we were offered was also smaller than our group land claim and right next door to another club (so much for Jacks claim to implement spacing)

So she IM'd the Linden handling the case and he offered us another place that was about 6th down on our preference list, with a parcel that was about 1,000 sqm less than we held, (again the jgs and attachments we sent with our ticket comments documenting all our land was not looked at properly)

We have - 37,920 sqm with 8,679 prims he offered 36,864m with 8,437 prims

So once more she had to raise this with the Linden and 'sweet talk' him into cutting us more land he obliged and cut us 37,888 sqm - so we have had to take a 32sqm hit on the swap -

I guess we can live with that - lol

------------------
In the words of my dear partner...

"The guy didn't pay attention .First he tried to give us that ugly place. Then he was just gong to give us what is showing on the "my account" page for Keaira. When we plainly stated on the ticket how much the group owned. I'm so happy it's done . I pitched a tent with a nice campfire. I HAD to put something on it :)....It's over Master. I know we have so much work ahead of us but IT'S OVER and I'm in tears."
------------------

I can echo her sentiments

I've got a zilion things to catch up on, and I will update our ticket data on the wiki asap and hopeful find some time to read some of the back posts

I've been moving my own stuff, and I think a lot of other people are doing the same.
It looks like the lindens finally broke past the first hour logjam, though.

Hey, hey, :) congrats to you too :)

Hm. Today I am too lazy to make more comments about the Lindens. :D

The trouble they caused again speaks for itself.

Anyways, good luck with building and things, you have mountains of work in front.

My ticket got touched on Saturday informing me I was ok to move. Only issue is no land like what I have (flat 50/50 tropical beach/water on LL with void sim neighbor). To add insult they told me I should concider taking cheaper land. Issue is there was plenty but I couldn't even reach the land till Sunday (didn't login saturday). Still can't reach some of the sims. I updated my case telling them as such and to inform them of thier poor documentation.

Good to hear, yeh, I'm so burnt out from it all, I set my place up and parts of it returned to me and other parts got lost in a hill in a glitch... Just getting back to it now, I'm lucky I don't have much actual stuff.

What do you mean "cheaper" land? Something not to the standard you have or money cheaper?

"There may be more land opening you might find more appealing. The LDPW is opening new lands. However it is impossible to guarantee if that land will not be taken up by those with tickets ahead of you or how much total will be opened before the migration phase ends.

If everyone waits too long the migration process may be closed and they would then need to wait for the land sales phase to begin before they can move their adult content to Zindra.

Migrations requests are fulfilled on a first come, first served basis. However please realize if we are waiting for an answer for choices for open locations then tickets sent in after yours may be granted the prime locations of what is left at this point. Please, if you can find three choices for locations you find acceptable please let us know right away and we will do our best to secure them for you. "

If you see my current mainland plot Ian most land sellers will tell you it is expensive land. It's the exact land everyone is grabbing for in Zindra currently. Flat tropical beach with 50/50 water/land against a void sim on one side.

A bystander's perspective:

Reading some of these nightmare stories and knowing what a pain it is to make a move in SL, I just can't believe how well everyone is handling this whole fiasco.

Good job, everyone. I admire your patience and resilience.

But damn, why did this ever have to happen? Was there NO solution that would have allowed everyone's businesses to stay put where they were on the Mainland?

Yeh, I got done on the 16th and I ended up in a newer part. I had a similar stress point which I had made clear in my application, about the aesthetics of the location, it is really important to me, my little set up is based on a the outdoors and nature.

My mainland was near water with a huge empty parcel in front of it, just a few markers for a skybox company, really nice and sparse builds in large parcels around me too...

But I actually ended up with something even nicer. I just waited till my ticket number was current on the wiki page and went in and started looking. It was good because the original sims were full and cluttered and this was clear and empty as I got to it.

Anyway, I was so worn down with the waiting, it was a huge relax when I got it. I hope you get good timing and grab a top spot.

Ray, there were many ways this could have been accomplished, some were voiced in these forums. For whatever reason, LL set their minds on this one, no matter what. A dropout from McDonald's Hamburger U could have come up with a better plan.

Come on ray you have been here since 06....it's the name of the game. Bend over and take it...wait..does that mean LL policies have to move to Zindra as well?
