I have done that appeal. The response below is a result of my second and final appeal. They are being total dick heads, and I mean that in a mean spirited way. There is no way this move is fair and I will NOT BE BUYING LAND IN ZINDRA, in fact, I hope to never set foot there.

The process is fair in that it offers those with CURRENT adult commercial content the ability to move as they will be the ones most impacted when the new Adult content rules come into force.

I'm sorry you are unhappy with that intention but I regret there is nothing we can do to change that. There will be opportunity to purchase Zindra land once all the moves have been completed.

I think the Lindens escalating it now literally and definitely too much to offend our intelligence and dignity in a not longer acceptable way, not to talk about all the money we gave into their pockets for now nothing.

As if people who bought and *own* (<---- a Linden term!) a specific setting of a service, called mature mainland, to be free to decide there every single second of a day new what they like to do there and what not, would be not most impacted.

Every single owner of a mainland parcel *is* most impacted, without exception.

We are all most impacted, because we are now lame ducks with shrinked to zero abilities on our devalued and suddenly extreme restricted mature - land. Damn!

What sort of torture is necessary to bring that simple fact into their underexposed synapses, if they are unable to learn it by logical and polite arguments?

Yes, I know, it is a rhetorical question...

IMHO this is a case where LL is basically dictating what a content creator can create, putting them on a level with certain other virtual worlds that require preapproval of content before it is released for sale. It is also a way to put the community against one another so that the focus and heat is drawn away from Linden Labs. It is a nasty play and I hope Bhakta will thoroughly document this entire experience on the slaptme wiki so that we will have somewhere to refer the rest of community that is about to be screwed when the open AR fest ensues.

You don't have a leg to stand on.

Heck, I could buy some empty $2L/m2 mainland, list it with all kinds of Adult search terms, and get a free swap to $30L/m2 Zindra too, if they allowed that.

One possible exception: If you had all that stuff there, and boxed it up into inventory in anticipation of the move. If that's the case, ask for the ticket to be reopened and send them pictures of what you had there.

Then I don't understand either what you said ("unfortunately, empty right now" or what LL's response said. Both seem to imply that the Adult Content is not actually there.

That I don't have any vendors renting out the empty spaces...but I am a new buissness and not very good at it with low traffic etc. So as best as I can figure I'm just not big enough for them

I think he/she doesn't have the obligation to work that hard, since Jack and the land team has the magic eyes to look into the past...

My suggestion would be: reopen the ticket. LL has been known to reverse themselves, and I really don't think that lack of customers is a valid excuse for disapproval.

Oh, your area is new? That was one of the things LL can use to reject a ticket. The idea is that they didn't want people sexing up ordinary land at the last minute, just to get into Zindra for free. So, when you respond to your ticket, you'll need to convince them that you started the place for real and weren't trying to play tricks.

I did and I told them if they want to turn on the way back machine about four months a go with the first ursulla news it was a live sex club I started and decided to close it with the new ursulla info and about a month and a half back (before the name zindra came out) I decided to open it back up

OTOH is everyone free to play SL every second totaly spontaneous. One can create, buy, rezz, give away, sell, show, provide, advertise all possible things and activities or nothing whenever and for whatever reasons (or no reasons) one likes.

Or not?

It would be new to me, if it were forbidden to play SL as ever along the last 6 years incl. the four+ months from March, 12 until July the 24th.**

And so far we had no obligation to sign the new ToS, nor to use the new viewer, nor to stop specific activities.

Also there are still millions of members which have no clue what is going on in background and about the 180° turn of SL, while the blog entries and forums are buried as deep as possible in the entropy of hurray-news from the edu front.

I've received my swap and setup everything and find I have room and prims to help out those who haven't received a swap and need a place to setup some vendors.

LL is being as arbitrary as ever.

We gave them all sorts of ways to do this fairly and without fuss, and they ignored every suggestion.

As they're being implemented, the AC changes are unfair, unenforceable, and arbitrary. The impact is onerous and the result will be unsatisfactory to LL, the current residents, and potential new residents looking for a "predictable" (i.e., adult content free) SL experience.

I'm so disgusted with Our Overlords.

You might ask all the people who have been banned from SL over the years if it was really anything goes.

It really wouldn't do Gummo any good to put on the rose colored glasses and remember the halcyon days of SL that never were. Looking for an angle that will satisfy LL that a transfer is warranted could do Gummo some good.

Re open the ticket and remind them that Jack stated several times that they would look back if needed to. Its late here and I haven't got time to look for you but Jacks office hours are on the slapt.me wiki and they are easy to read as the Lindens chat has been bolded. Then in a polite manner drop Jack a note card explaining and reminding him about what he said, give him the relevant links to his statements and ask him to look into it as he said would be done.

Also keep copies of all the IM's ticket details etc. for the slapt.me wiki so that we can build a better picture of what LL are doing and whether they are keeping to what they said they would.

Just had a Linden in my store to check it out for the Linden move Friendly dude, he confirmed my stuff was good enough for Zindra No clue when that will happen though, he was just checking out parcels.

For the record: Javier Linden was his name (might be handy for the ones keeping track of all this). And my ticket is In Progress!!! 4051-6485737 at 29/6/2009 1:36 PM PDT.

Added: This is NOT about my furniture store or plants store as they are on estate. This is about my mainland parcel where my animation store is, erotic ones to be precise

Mine was supposedly updated last night BUT I have had no udpates on ticket, email, or in person. It's also still listed as new.

I was not precise enough and didn't define the term "anything" so maybe I created a misunderstanding, but I thought it was self-explaining what I meant. I meant all the creations and expressions/activities which are so far ok under the "mature"- rating including adult themes, or to be more precise, all possible non-criminal 18+ expressions.

Beside this, I know that LL banned people without reasons, also with reasons and for griefing etc, but as said: so far LL gave no official order (hahaha) to its customers..., to stop to be spontaneous, or to avoid to decide in the next second to create or to rezz or to act something and somehow.

There is no rule which would say: "stop to play your spontaneous SL after login and avoid to rezz this or that item on Mature-land if it comes into your spontaneous mind".

And the LL blabla that only the "most impacted" could get a swap, is complete absurd, because LL cannot decide for 18+ customers, which individuals have to feel "most impacted" by the ACP (Adult Content Project...) and which not.

I - for example - feel most impacted, because LL is trying to shrink my spontaneity and creativity while telling to others and me, that we wouldn't be most impacted and can't get a swap only because they had maybe a not too sexy/expressive phase along the last weeks/months.

So my new predictable experience as customer is now, that I have 4 choices which experiences I like to have after any login:

- To be victim of LL-lies

- To be victim of LL-fraud

- To be victim of LL-impertinence

- To be victim of LL-incompetence

Maybe LL should create 4 new checkboxes into the viewer, to chose between or to combine: lies, fraud, impertinence and incompetence, instead of PG, Mature and Adult.

Ah, si, for Gummo and others you are sure right, to recommend somehow smart ways to move the incompetence of LL into the hopefully right directions to maybe get the swap after a smart appeal, but in general he/she has no notary stamped and signed with document-safe ink obligations to play not spontaneous, which means: anything legal goes.

Still.

And so far we have no official notice that the ACP would be done and embossed in marble.

No official new ToS is at work. No customer signed it so far. And a majority is not informed so far and no one knows what is actually allowed in specific situations on specific locations and what not.

(edit additional: hahaha, now while I read myself again, this is funny: another trick made by LL: first they create some arbitrarily blurry "facts" - just by a tricky mix of rhetorics and silence created for only one reason: to demoralise/discourage/confuse us and making us dull and mad enough to go into lemming-mode - and after that, they put kind of "law" on top, hahahaha, this is soooooooooooo tricky. Normally it would go the opposite way: first define exact and clear rules, informing literally all customers, on the front page, as stable element and via e-mail, to reach literally everyone plus future customers and then acting. This would be a halfway serious way, but...they do the gangsta-rap.)

We have nothing precise, only blurry blabla by Jack and Blondin and Cyn and some amateur lawyers blabla from some so called BrownBag brainstormings, all in all we have only a bunch of amateurish incompetence and no clear answers to thousands of ultra-clear hard and smart questions.

A newbie could actually login, buying a parcel, rezzing whatever legal and doing the swap, from my view. Or rezzing nothing, finding by accident or by word of other residents that "mature" is now devalued and poisoned and doing the *free of charge* swap also, from my view.

Anyway. It is a Kafka-esque situation and a serious company should not do that to its dear, paying, premium... customers from all over the world.

I got my swap yesterday. 512 single for 512 double-prim. A little closer to the water but the land has no character at all. Sky store is back up and so is house. I reopened the ticket to see if my ex-neighbor could get the land or if I should abandon it right away since I don't need it other than the LM giver.

The date below is the update from the re-open. The actual swap was yesterday.

@Lord, where on the wiki are the swaps being recorded? I searched all over and couldn't find it. Maybe you should raise the link or something to a top page level.
