I don't know if this has been brought up here yet but what is up with the flashing overlapping prims on the roads, the hundreds upon hundreds of prim balls serving no purpose under the uh realistic* sculpty trees, the weird lights on the roads which one has to wonder if they're necessary at all, roads in certain sims that peter off into nowhere, and some really wonky texture mapping/offsets/repeats in certain areas of the linden road (i.e. 5 grates one in front of the other...on *TOP* of the curb! Have you ever seen a grate on 'top' of a curb? I have not.) not to mention parts of the road that glow. I mean...the glowing stuff...that really gets me. I'm not talking about resident builds, I mean they actually glowed out the road.

I can't imagine residents moving to Zindra are going to want to put up with that for too long.

This is why we keep asking for ticket numbers both open and closed :) I know Daniel and myself are collecting them from this thread and updating the wiki but if anyone else knows please drop me an email or update the wiki page.

For those that are worried about giving their ticket number, it is perfectly safe and nothing will happen if you do it is purely a reference number and of course one we can track as to the work being done on them so all help ia appreciated :)

Was chatting with Summer Haas in the Zindra Allaince group tonight. She said a friend of hers who had a 10:37 AM ticket got her land today. But I do not know who the 10:37 AM person is. dascheigh Marquez said he called Live Help and was told that times do not matter as some that were set aside or did not approve..they skipped over. I guess they knew he was outside the loop and they could tell him anything. His ticket is 10:21 AM.

Live chat told me in two separate sessions that they don't have access to what ticket they are processing. I suggested it wouldn't be a bad idea to get periodic reports since just such a thing IS part of providing help.

Yeah, well. I'll hold my breath until that happens

Amazing. We have the word of the frontline Lindens that the tickets will be processed in order as they are received, then Live Help claims no system to make sure that happened was put in place.

No no, that isn't what I meant to imply. Live Help is a separate entity from the team working on them.

Migration team has the tickets and work on them *cough* in more or less first come first served while Live Help do not have access to what tickets are being worked on.

I suggested it was a good idea for the migration team to make periodic reports, since, as was sung, "The Way-ay-ting is the hardest part"

Heck, by now you'd think Live Help had been asked enough to go screaming to the Migration team

This entire thing is being done with COMPUTERS. As one team access and services a ticket the computer updates that status - and the other team can then read that status on their computer. Live Help blatantly lied. They can easily see what ticket number is next in line - they just do not want to - because there is picking and choosing going on and other sorts of craziness.
If it were not for the resident public tracking at the slapt.me wiki, this thread and the Zindra Alliance group - we would not even be up to the 30 minute mark of tickets 30 days later. This is an atrocity - there is no way around that fact.

off subject a bit, I received a letter from the Royal Bank of Scotland saying they was sending a credit card to my address in another persons name, some kind of fraud scam I thought, so I contacted them and I was put through to the wrong department twice and spoke to 6 different people and finally I was told to call back tomorrow when the applications office was open, I just said Bollocks and put the phone down, but then I don't do business with RBS at all and now never likely to.

I just had a land flipper take advantage of a mistake the Lindens made. They gave him 4096M in Mosh (because he sells a sex skybox - of which he put up one sign and kept the land clear). I told then they has a 1026M set for him roadside in Yedboro by mistake. He didn't believe me until I teleported him to it. I told him to contact the Lindens so they could give that parcel to someone that needed it.

Of course, instead he took the land and will be selling it for as much as he can get or rent it out. I sent the info to Blondin and made a report to Live Help. Hopefully this will be rectified immediately.

It doesn't follow at all. The fact that Live Help can tell you the status of a particular ticket if you give them the ticket number doesn't necessarily mean that they can tell you which ticket is being worked on now, any more than the fact a teller at a bank can access all transactions handled at a branch can necessarily tell you how many transactions have been processed today. The data's all there in the computer, sure, but you can only get at it if someone's written the right SQL queries for you to use.

Certainly, it would be nice if they could tell us which ticket's being worked on, and LL should make it possible for them to tell us, but that doesn't mean Live Help are lying to you when they say they can't.

They finally finished my request and I was turned down. The awful thing to me, is that I will have to buy land in Zindra, I will not be offered a swap because I am not an adult dealer. Thisis very unfair and it will make me sell land in a mainland that is devalued and buy land in a place that will most likely be over valued due to land speculation. HEre is the response I got from Linden as well as my comment to them. I have no recourse do I?

This is a horrible thing to do to me. Why will I not be able to swap as the business would. I am not comfortable in an area that is not for adults. If I open a vender selling adult items, could I move then? I do not want to stay in a place where I am afraid my activites would be considered too adult for my neighbors, when I have always had the freedom in the past to open any kind of adult establishment that I wanted. Please reconsider this in the name of being fair to all of your residents.

I'm sorry you were put through that nonsense. There is a land dealer next door to me in Zindra that would be happy to rake you over the coals and sell you some of his falsely claimed Zindra land.

Hmmm, 10:36am here and still no swap...

One thing that is encouraging... I'm suspecting they should get to me by the weekend - and if they do, it'll mean they have answered my land swap ticket (16 days so far) quicker than they manage to answer most of my normal tickets :D

Re-read Bakhta's first paragraph. He (?) appears to completely understand that he's going to be forced to purchase land on Zindra at what we all presume will be horribly inflated prices.

Bakhta, I would suggest that you challenge the response and ask specifically whether or not your land in it's current state will be allowed to remain on the mainland under the current land rules. Then document that answer on the slapt.me wiki so we can have a historical record of what type of land was refused a move, and for what reasons.

I'm beginning to suspect that this whole thing has nothing to do with predictability, safeguarding LL from hyper-sensitive congress-critters or vocal residents, etc., but rather as a huge money grab for LL in the upcoming auctioning of Zindra land. And let's face it, if it works then LL will have done something that many other companies would love to do given the current state of the world economy. Doesn't make it right, but it certainly would make their actions over the last 6 months or so make a lot more sense.
