I guess the real question is how far down the bad land choices will they go before making more land?

(Tell em to make you an island, or something, or bring up a new region that has what you want)

LOL double prim...you want me to take horrible double prim...I want quad prim.

(jk don't kill me everyone ^_^)

For those who grabbed a plot conveniently located against a void: I hope it did occure to you that those void plots are where Linden will add more lands should they run out. A void plot know may be a flat plot next week already.

LOL, seen that happen on the mainland once or twice.

So I tried to avoid falling asleep at the keyboard and met Colton in Leuran. I took the last 5952 there. Half land, half water - Double-prim

Not quite as good as I had hoped.
Maybe I should have held out for a quintuple-prim island, but I'm way too tired.
My defences were down :)

Somebody might possible have said to me: "I've heard the forums were quite bad".
To which I probably replied: "Everything is relative :)"

and "residents thinking we were skipping or going out of order, which is simply not true. We had over 200 ticket requests come in within the first couple minutes, then many after that

Whether all this happened on not, I'll have to check the logs in the morning.

I just got a 'please be patient' e-mail from support. I had submitted two tickets so I got two of these e-mails. So it must be a automated mailing created to quell the smutty masses. It actual worked. I feel they still know I am here. Friday is the Holiday in the States. If it does not happen for many of us tomorrow - we can expect to wait until Tuesday.

Blondin has said this:

[16:28] Blondin Linden: [16:15] Moon Corrigible: Blondin - if like for like is no longer available what should we do? ANSWER: Request on you ticket that they bring up another region

and this

[16:41] Blondin Linden: [16:24] kestryl Appin clears her throat and tries to sound sultry, "Blondin, dear, what can I expect now that any waterfront, similar, and suitable land is long gone?" ANSWER: Request on your ticket that they bring up more regions. But honestly, I dont know

So I'm hopeful again

And for all who missed it:

Thanks, we are the only thing ON the sim we are on currently, and since it was our grand moving party I TEMPORARILY rezzed a couple of fireworks rezzers, and the sim is still running quite well.

If you put 30 people on any sim it's going to lag a little. If you want a sim with no lag anywhere, you go ahead and get yourself a private estate and make sure you keep the entire grid out and then you'll be perfectly perfect.

In the meantime, we will have our dance machine and our 25 people and our music stream and our single building with whatever we have, 20 low prim trees, and we'll do just fine. Thanks though.

I've been there all day, from flat land to full club. Haven't had any lag. Might want to check your client.

You can also try the release candidate. When we were scoping out land in Zindra I had lag problems and crashes. I got the release candidate and it is all gone.

I think it was just you, because I saw you standing outside the club an hour before we opened talking to a woman and you were there for quite some time. If you had problems rezzing the road on a sim that had 5 people on it and no dance machines or anything running, then it's hardly our fault.

Perhaps it's the scripted glowing roads or the empty Linden buildings on the sim that were lagging you out. They are certainly more primmy and client-side-render-heavy than our plain black prim building.

That being said though, PARTY IN ZINDRA AND IT'S AT THE SLURL LISTED ABOVE. :P

How would this be any different than the rest of the grid?

Is Zindra supposed to be a lag free continent for some reason?

Are people going to stop texture pollution, start reducing prim density on small parcels with high prim allocations, are people all of a sudden going to travel to the continent without there 255 prim (per boot) boots, without their 150 prim hair, and without their 200 prim junky neko belts, or without their 600 prims in face pierces??

Why is that place the future of lag in Zindra?

Why don't you go to NAMPO and see the possible future of the lag in any sim that is not an Estate...

Nothing to see at your SLurl but a club celebrating and having a good time.

Oh noes...Zindra is going to drop off the grid into the ether oceans of nethernet-space.

"it could just be me", could mean: Could be me that only thinks this place in the SLurl is a lag fest, but no matter what, clubs like this are the future of Zindra.

Ahahaha, yes, and then how about where you decided it couldn't be you?

And "I broke SL" had nothing to do with lag on the sim, we were setting up a club for goodness sake. Lots of prims to set, lots of things to scoot around, lots of textures to upload.

Anyways, whatever. Have a nice evening, Gummo.

If you meant that, then you were right.

Good job!

so bad job if I meant it could just be me having this lag here in this particular sim?

Recent tickets have been gettign a 'standard letter'...asking for info even if in the ticket...also a note that due to delays, inaccurate or incomplete info some tickets may take longer than others so not FCFS....

therefore they are covering themselves now

still like to know where the empty land plot said their adult commercial content was...

To add something constructive to this discussion:

We were ticket number xxxx4263, which put us about 40-45 tickets in by our estimation. We got our land today at about noon SLT and our ticket was put in at 10:04am on Monday.

Our swap went without incident, and we got our first choice.

Best of luck to all those waiting. I hope you all get to move in and celebrate too, soon.

Seems it really isn't, but it *could* be, for a while. There's a pretty nasty bug in recent simulator versions that cause sim performance to degrade over time, apparently as a function of the number of Mono scripts that have run on the sim since it was restarted. And with a steady flow of visitors around Zindra, many wearing significantly scripted attachments ( :) ), it may be a little laggier than average Mainland.
