Still interresting how they let land moguls "slip through". Parcels already for sale. Yeah right, that's one VERY good reason to question the validity of the "adult content" they advertised. LL should definitely reverse those assignments AND confiscate the mature land involved in such trades for good measure!

From: Bhakta Thor I don't sell anything, I just shop, but I bring home lots of 'friends' and I want to be as adult on my land as I care to be.
If they turn me down, then later give me a TOS violation, can I say its their fault and I tried to move? Bhakta, the letter says that this first round of reassignments is commercial parcels only. So, I wouldn't expect to see action on your ticket until they begin a phase for residential assignments. Have they said when that will be? As to your concern about being turned down, why are you worrying about this now? Time enough WHEN you've been turned down! It is what it is ... if you find yourself worrying about this all the time, maybe it's time to take a step back and go get a smoothie or something. .

I haven't heard of this, is it a free land swap also? do you have a link to it?

From: Bhakta Thor If they don't tell the whole community about the forced moves, then there is time for the abandoned mainland to sell at a higher price. That's not the problem. The problem is some land traders who got their hands on Zindra land for the SOLE purpose of selling it, without any intention of having any adult bussiness or adult content there. While at the same time, valid transfers are stalling, people downgrade in land quality ("Thank you for relocating your public sex beach" "Uhmmm, there's no beach here, and water level is 30 meters below ground while I can lower land only by 4 meters?" "Yes, water view was not part of our like for like policy I'm afraid. Good luck turning your sexbeach into a sexforest and have a nice day."

Residents will have to pay for thier move. cause they are not inconvinced by this. *rolls eyes* Course the land will be for auction and likly sold in HUGE full sim parcels making it unavailable to the masses that need small places.

So, I wouldn't expect to see action on your ticket until they begin a phase for residential assignments. Have they said when that will be? Uh, well, that would be when the auctions start, and for "assignments" read "winning bids." The land swap was supposed to be just for residents with land that was affected by the policy. When it became apparent that, in fact, pretty much the whole grid was affected one way or another, they changed it to land that was the most affected by one aspect of the policy: commercial property. Frankly, this is one of the reasons I really don't have any particular problem with land flippers sneaking into the swap, even early on. Truth is, they're probably suffering more than any of the adult content creators, if they have a substantial inventory of Mature Mainland to unload at prices in policy-induced freefall or to carry tier on until demand recovers (and that would be half-past heat death of the universe).

From: Nina Stepford lots of granite, cos thats in demand That's a ZOMG all right! Of course, now that I've got my land, I've gone over to the Dark Side and become a lickspittle running dog(bitch) for LL. I didn't get my 1,2,3 but I got next door to my #3 in Leuran sim The Linden that handled me (so to speak) was Colton. He was very helpful and pleasant. They are definitely aware of the rumblings. I'm sure my #1 had hunderds of requests for it, so I would have been absolutely excira and delira if I had actually got it. It would feel less painful not to have got it if it had been given to someone who was actually swapping comparable land. Still, the place I ended up with is nice. My Gorean neighbour seems fine. We have to see what appears to the South when LL add the sims to the Southern edge of the continent. The only real pain now is that gawdawful thing in the Popke sim that shares the peninsula. At least we have out backs to it. There are two unallocated parcels beside it. It's encroaching on one of them. Maybe they'll move it up in the sky if they can't remodel the symmetry when the winner of that parcel complains. I'm in the land on top right of the photo. Midway on the right you can see my neighbour's screen that he set up to hide the thing. The two unassigned parcels in Popke can be seen to left and right of the monstrosity. Despite being beach and double-prim, they are definity sloppy seconds now. One thing to note: My neighbour was initially refused because LL said "All you have here is a beach house." Hi shop was in the sky over the beach. Once they saw that, he was fine. It's important to have the ticket be very precise about where the relevant content is located. Add a comment to the ticket if you think it will help the Linden to quickly agree to the nature of the goodies. In my case it was pretty obvious, so no questions asked. But I still had described it fully in the ticket. So I'm lucky that a 10:05 ticket got me land equivalent (as in like-for-like) to land I was swapping. Leuran is completely gone now, and Popke just has those two parcels dominated by the monstrosity. I really have to worry about other oceanfront people who won't have many options when looking at the existing sims and that new granite to the NE. Is there enough coast in that? Even if LL start to take the comparability of land into account. I know two people who would need two sims of that coastline. They'll have limited options to make the waterline 'crinkly' via terraforming.

I was looking around Mosh, and found one parcel where the new owner has just a couple of signs for her "Free Roleplay Lessons." Oddly enough, she has two classified's in her profile. One placed 6/27 and the other 6/29.

again a gentle reminder, they/your here not because you chose to be, but because Linden Lab forced you to be, you should remember that all residents on Zindra are the victims, whatever and however they use the land, right?

BT You don't have to take a piece of land that you don't like, either. You have the same freedom as the rest of us to either buy an island and make it into your own happy paradise, or else find somebody like Desmond from Caldon, or Relic Starbrook, etc., who owns private islands, and get them to fix you up with a portion of one of theirs which is terraformed nicely how you would like it to be (some are happy to do the terraforming work for you too, if it means having a tenant who will stick around). Mainland and Zindra properties are not your only options. Yes some of them can cost you quite a bit, but you can also form a partnership with another like-minded individual you get along with well too. Plenty of options exist for those willing to exercise them.

Only today
07-02-2009 08:59
So I KNOW that my ticket that has just been picked up because I'm on the phone with concierge when it happened (saw that one after mine had been completed while mine was still marked NEW and was .. unhappy) and of course I'm on pins and needles so I go over to my main landmark to wait for them....
and there's a guy .... befriending... a cow in my shop.
Not my cow mind you - I dont have one - this is something he had himself.
...with a neon green.... handshake.
Only today would I think 'Thank you!'

What on EARTH are these people thinking??? Well, when I was doing market research ..... I found that a lot of the places with naughty words packed into their description were on sky platforms. Those places could float over any sort of awful terrain. I like my kink to have a bit of class, so I built my stylish(ish) naughty places in interesting terrain. I have this definite theory that sometimes people need a rest from sexorz. Just sit and look at the sunset over water. Go for a paddle/swim or a boat ride. That sort of thing.
