Well, i'm the famous Kittyn, i guess...with my post on SLex. *laughs*
Yes, i got my land, and i am still confused why mine was denied so quickly and then the land given to me so quickly, again...it still really shocks me.
I do have another ticket sitting out there, 4051-6484547 timed 10:16. it's still not opened...other than the form letter. I almost expect the same hassle.
What is aggravating, is that i requested a spot on fishergate. After a bit, i come back, and find that it's marked "not for sale". So, i go to find another spot...this one, i can't SWEAR, but, i believe it was open when i picked it, and said "I would like to replace this as my #1 spot"...i go back the next day...it's marked not for sale.
*sighs* can't win for losin'....

Hi Kittyn, glad your case got fixed. According the other testimony on Slapt.me, the Lindens had a quick meeting to synchronize their definitions of what could qualify for the move and apparently they had not the same idea about it at first... Happily for us the most flexible and understanding side seems to have won in that meeting so let's hope all problem cases will be fixed positively for the residents. I just found this new thread, after TumbleWeed passed me the link to it during Jack's office meeting, I was indeed worried when I saw that Blondin closed the blog entry on Zindra and feared that they were silencing any public discussion about it, but it seems that Blondin just forgot to mention this new thread... Anyway I asked to the owners of Slapt.me to open an independant forum about Zindra were we can discuss without risk of corporate censorship, after the JIRA and Blog closing I start to see a pattern, you can find that forum here : http://www.slapt.me/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=33PS : I didn't had the time yet to catch up on the 65 pages, so sorry if repeat stuff already said.

From: Nicolette Lefevre Did he say to how many square meters this amounts? No, but a log is here: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:Jack_Linden/Office_Hour/2009-07-02. He mentioned quite a few AC related things.

My personal experience with the move
07-02-2009 16:02
Just got my parcel(s) on Zindra. I was online while Amber Linden came into my old (well... current) place. I was waiting there for some time, as I had noticed earlier that the progress was getting close to my ticket number. I guess Amber checked if I really have adult content and we then both went to Zindra. My original 3 choices were gone within 24 hours, but I had picked 6 additional ones earlier and posted them as a comment to my ticket. So I was prepared. My first additional choice was still free and Amber had to combine several smaller parcels and then set them for sale to me. The entire process took about an hour from beginning to end as there were 13 smaller parcels to combine which just took some time to pick-out and combine. So if people are wondering why this is going slowly: It just takes time for people to describe which parcels they would like to have combined, without being able to point with your finger and just say "I'd like this, this, this and that over there" The land I got is WAY better, than the land I had before (which I'm keeping by the way). I now have double-prim land with beach-access and a great unobstructed view at the sunset. I really have to bring my A-game in building there, to honor the land that I got. I really don't want to put something ugly on it! BTW for those keeping track: My ticket number is 4051-6484311, filed at 29/6/2009 10:06 AM PDT.

By my arithmatic thats around 42 or so tickets per day. Even if every transfer was as complicated as this one and took an hour then 42 divided by 24 = 1.75 per hour. Now explain how 10 people can average 1.75 transfers per hour! 10 people times 1.75 is 17.5 and 17.5 times just 8 hours is 140 transfers per day not 42! Even if only 5 people are doing them thats 70 per day not 42. Also notice the same couple of names appearing in each post of a transfer. Now I'm no expert in math by any strech of the imagination but do the math as they say. Again just my 2 cents worth.

My 10:05 ticket also was completed today, with my second choice parcel--which was fine: I'd noted in a comment to the ticket that the first choice parcel had "shrunk" since I selected it, and I'd either want them to restore that parcel size (stealing from very ample beachfront--the sim is about 75% protected land) or skip to that 2nd choice.
I wasn't online when the ticket was in process; I tried to make it simple and easy for them, and hope it worked that way. Minerva handled the ticket.
What was kind of interesting is that when I picked it, this second choice parcel was slightly larger than what I was swapping; when I got it, it was reduced to the size of the land I was swapping (I assume by returning more of it to protected land around it). That's absolutely fine with me (and leaving it larger would have been fine, too); I was just a little surprised they took the time to do it.
One bit of mechanics I wasn't sure about: the group owning the land to be swapped was at tier limit, but I was able to Buy for Group without warning and it didn't push the group over tier, so that's cool.

You get a grace period I believe, it's probably things like this that are slowing the process up.

Last ticket completed on 30-Jun was #266, last ticket complete on 02-Jul was my #311. That's according to the slapt.me page. So that's 45 tickets in two days. 22.5 per day. LL was doing it faster at the beginning, because back then it was easier for them to match people's land requests with available land. Also look at the time-of-day at which requests were completed. My guess is that LL works about from 8am-3pm on the tickets. I can only guess how long it takes to complete each ticket. But if I assume that the amount of time it took for me is normal, then that would mean about 20-25 work-hours/day for the tickets. And that would mean 3-4 people working on the tickets. There are so many posts here, that I may have overlooked something. Was there a comment anywhere how many people are actually working *full-time* on the tickets? I know the slapt.me page lists 8 Lindens working on the tickets, but does each of them do that all day long? Or do they have other things to handle too? Given that a little more than 100 tickets have been processed so far, and Jack Linden saying in his office-hour today that they got about 700, that would mean about 600 tickets left to process. At 22.5/day that would take 26-27 days. What *I* would really like to know is how much land-area was requested by people. And how that compares to what LL made available initially, and respectively to how much they are adding now. Knowing the total area would give us an indication as to how accurate LL's 2-4% number was

Exactly my point and your math makes it even worst... I'm sure I read where jacko-lin-dim said they would or did have 10 people on this... or some lin-dim did. Not that I would expect anything less than sub-par performance from this company or be surprised that they lied... or that any corporation lies! If old jacko had one ounce of customer support in him he'd have done a survey of adult content or had one done prior to starting this move and have prepared accordingly!

I don't think people in Jack's office celebrate July 4th, tho one of my Brit friends tells me they have instituted "Good riddance day." I'd bet you're right about the US-based ones, though.

From: Qie Niangao Sure, but they're in a business, and that business is very much and very directly affected by this policy. Especially by the added twist that lets us Adult content creators dispose of our old properties instead of giving them back to LL where they might not instantly flood the market.
Landflipping is a capital-intensive business. Suppose you're a mid-sized landflipper with 10 sims of Mature inventory, scattered around the Mainland. The new policy comes in and the market takes a dive--at least L$2/m already, and still falling at a steady pace--and the swap has barely even begun. You've just lost L$1.3 million, or about US$5000 out of pocket. I suppose there are Adult businesses that are throwing off that kind of revenue, but they get the Zindra land swap for their whole business, and can use whatever they can generate by selling off their existing land to buy classifieds or otherwise mitigate the impact. The landflippers just have to sit back and watch their money disappear before their eyes.
That is *not* meant to justify any underhanded, behind the scenes dealings--neither by landflippers nor queue-jumping Adult businesses with "special connections." But it's always been my position that *all* Mature Mainland should be eligible for this swap because *all* of it is affected, one way or another. It has always been *my* position that every mature landowner should be eligible for a free swap too. However, it is evidently LInden Labs' position that the only people eligible for the swap are those who provide *commercialized sexual content*- their words, not mine. Land barons don't provide commercialized *anything* except land- which you can even advertise in PG search. Thus, they shouldn't be in on this, and if they are, they (or whoever is covering for them) is breaking the rules, and ought to forfeit their land until the people who are supposed to get the swap are taken care of. Nothing against land barons. Honestly. But they aren't supposed to be here yet, and the fact that they are means that something is *broken*, and the adult content merchants are the ones suffering for it. That's simply adding *another* layer of unfairness onto the giant wedding-cake of awful that LL has served up for this little soiree. ^V^

Dusty Linden: "...and the Teens are undoubtedly the Future of Virtual Worlds. Come see how they are going to knock you off your pedestal, gramps." https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/community/events/blog/2009/07/01/second-life-birthday-news-reviewYes, no doubts. We know that since the spring blossoms brought us first Ursula, then Zindra. Speak it out loud, LL. This is why freedom and relaxed spontaneity came under the guillotine on mature land and the forced exodus to Z. is rolling. Because there is undoubtly the biz-fantasy at work, that young vegetables are the future of virtual worlds. Specificly the future of a well known virtual world.

Oh absolutely, as long as mommy and/or daddy forks out for a computer and the monthly fees little dusty lin-dim. I think the only fantasy at lin-dim lavatory (spelled correctly btw) is and always will be spelled P R O F I T S! I find this remark a bit on the insulting side! Dusty should consider each generation builds upon what the previous generation did and accomplished before making statements like that, but we know communication isn’t a lim-dim forte. So little dusty lin-dim crank up the land transfers for the PAYING customers of TODAY or you just might find all your left with is broke teens!!!
