Hey. Don't criticize his contradiction. If you're not good at contradicting yourself constantly, you have no right to criticize others who are.

You don't *have* to have made something yourself to criticize others, but it's impossible.

Where's the contradiction?

:p <--- for the sarcasm impaired and none-too-bright.

I guess I need to keep my answers simple too.

Whilst you have the right to criticise someone else's work, unless you can do better, you don't really have much 'clout' to your words.

It's also down to the way you say it.

Let's say you go to a burger bar drive thru. You get your burger, it's greasy, lukewarm, and has a hair sticking out of it. Most people would, I guess, decide never to go there again. That is exactly what J should have done, if he truly went to see Coco's angels and decided "they were crap".

However, what J seems to be doing is writing to the local papers about it, leafletting the neighbourhood, organising a picket outside, starting a hate campaign against the burger bar, and making sure that a local news team are there with cameras when he goes into the burger bar with his attorney to serve a lawsuit against them.

This whole damn thread was entirely unnecessary, if it wasn't for J's "desire" to make a point that nobody really actually cares about.

If no one cared about it, there'd be no thread.
And you like hyperbole, don't ya?

1) If it wasn't for the trolls and alts, there wouldn't be a thread.

2) Hyperbole? Does it come with fries?

So simple so as to avoid the point.. do you need to have done it or not?
Your entire 'simple answer' doesn't address it.

And if you don't care about J's point or opinion - why are you posting?

You missed a chance at making a really, incredibly execptionally hilarious hyperbole joke with this once in a lifetime, no-one-gets-this-chance perfect opportunity!

I guess I don't really understand.... after all, if I had a hyperbole I'd probably go to the doctor for some cream anyway.

OMG OMG OMG.. I have been looking for the artist's name for that painting ever since I saw it in the Louve (and wrote down the name and promptly lost it). I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful and mezmerizing it is in RL. I must have stared at it for 1/2 hour.

Wow, I'm glad I decided to link it, then!

And I agree - the painting is truly beautiful. I've a canvas print currently in storage, but the whole painting not just the portion in the image. I should bring it back out.

I wonder if it is one of those that only the original truely conveys its power though. I found that to be true with Rembrandts. I had seen reproductions, but until I saw the originals in the museum in Amsterdam (I forget the name now) -- they were stunning. Makes me lust for an original.

Otherwise I have a deep love for the Pre-Raphaelites.

I'd love the opportunity to find out. I've seen few of the great works of art in the world, I'm afraid I'm going to have to hope a good reproduction is capable of delivering the same impact.

A particular favorite period of my own, not since has there been that particular sort of attention to the use of light and color, detail, and perspective and the one common emotion I feel on seeing work from that period is: Envy for the artist's skill. :)

Understand, I don't care that Jauani thinks my angels suck. He would be the last person I would expect to like them; he was not the audience I had in mind when I created them. I care that he goes out of his way to trash them, in public, when I'm trying to discuss other things. And with an air of superior authority, to boot.

coco

I see........ what about your mentor and her opinion of things? Is this acceptable?. Never have you mentioned a word about what she says about other's content.

That's a shame. I'm sick and tired of looking at Siggy Romulus' free and virus-like replicable freebie on every first land.

"Lame" is a nice description of your product when compared to this quote. Get over it.

Then why bother replying to it then? Personally I saw this thread as being a humorous post - one that made fun of other threads - I've done it myself..

Not everything is a personal affront to you - I still don't see this thread as one - I saw it turn that way in the usual fashion .. the 'its all about me'

Well now I guess it is all about you .. Don't bother replying - I am seriously done replying to you - if you can't see how hyporcritical you are being here, thats your own problem.

(oh and I thought they were pretty lame too - and if Nerd wants to see my angel - go look in the history wiki).

Correction to an above post of yours, I didn't see earlier - No, I never claimed Jauani was gaming the stars when he gave his opinion of my angel. Not sure how you concluded that.

But - you know, as long as we are being nasty here - and don't bother replying, cause I'm seriously not caring what you have to say - it was NOT all about me, when I made the thread about GAMING THE STARS. Mine enemies decided - as they always do - to make it about personal attacks, both there and here, and make nasty remarks about my product, and you know that perfectly flipping well, Siggy. Or at least you would if you bothered to look at the other thread.

If you can't see all that as a personal affront when it's staring you in the face, well, I can't help it if you are stupid. But I know you're not stupid, you just want to pretend that no matter what you or anyone says or does, they aren't really doing it.

Oh yes, and be SURE not to bother replying, Siggy, because I'm far too superior to care what you have to say!

And we want to talk about lame stuff? I think your hot tub is pretty lame. I wouldn't have said so before, but we seem to be in the mood here to criticize Coco's work all to hell and back. Actually, I really don't care about the hot tub, and to be fair and honest, I don't think it's lame at all, plus it was probably top of the line technologically speaking when you made it, and may still be, for all I know. But yeah, your hot tub sucks! :D

Your products are totally lame, Weedy, unless one likes old radios. Get over it.

I have no mentor. Unless you count Barney, who has helped me with building difficulties. One day maybe you can figure out that separate individuals are actually separate individuals.

That would be priceless, Nolan, only if I were unaware that it was a personal attack. Which it wasn't, if you read the next sentence. But then, I would expect you to take something entirely out of context.

coco

P.S. I went looking for Siggy's angel, and put Siggy Romulus and angel in the search in the wiki, and couldn't find it. Now I can't even find my way back to the wiki itself!

Right, in the next sentence, you went on to basically call him a liar.

Would you like me to quote it for posterity?

I mean which is worse really?

Stupid, or dishonest? I dunno, to me, they both seem bad.

So I still value that quote as PRICELESS!

I could give a rat's ass that you don't like my radios.

I put months of work into perfecting the most popular radio in Second Life. Something I doubt your products will ever be.
