So if you're calling me a self-contradicting, clueless moron... it seems I should fit in around here perfectly.

Now all I need is an alt for extra trolling power, and I can pass as a regular.

You don't know crap about me.

Coco,

Everything that you write here shouts volumes about your attitudes, values, and methods. I may not know anything about the flesh you inhabit, nor the RL frame you move in, but your personality comes through loud and clear.

Since I consider hypocrisy to be a mortal sin, I can say with authority that you are not the kind of person I would want to get to know better either.

Prokovy actually makes a wonderful example of evaluating an entire person to decide if they are someon you'd want to know. I have heard from people who know her in real life, and from some of her tenants that she can be stable, charming, and amusing... in other words nice to know. However, I don't wish to know her either because of the traits she has displayed in the forums and IMs. The whole person counts... If you can act like a rabid dog in one venue, then those traits are always there below the surface no matter how well you hide them in other places.

You repeatidly decry personal attacks and childish name calling. Then you do it. If this behavior was truely distasteful to you instead of being a point to score on, then you wouldn't reciprocate. I go back to what I used to tell my son when he was young. Other people's behavior is never an excuse for you to behave badly. Stress brings out the truth of what people are made of.

Jonquille, all I know is this sort of thing NEVER happened to me before, ANYwhere, online for the past 12 years or whatever, in all sorts of venues, or in any place in real life. EVER. Anywhere.

I want to mention something that it took many years for me to understand also. Silence does not mean approval. The reaction of most people is to ignore, walk away, or mock privately people who annoy them. So many people just don't want to deal with the unpleasantness associated with debate.

Actually no, I don't. I don't attack other people individually and gratuitously, like you and the others here so very much love to do, and at such length - only to particular people, of course. I criticize behaviors of people.

For instance, I might make a statement: "I wish people would get as excited about the Lazarus Divine signs as they do about one business notecard."

OMG! WHAT A HORRIBLE THING TO SAY! etc. etc.

But I could start making personal attacks. I could do a pretty good job on you, Surreal. In fact, I think I will:

You're the bloody hypocrite, Surreal. You who messaged me in game the other night - apparently because you felt bad about going to such lengths to call me a greased pig in that other thread.

That's all I could figure. Because what you did was lecture me - at length! - on writing, and the use of language, etc. I mostly listened while I continued to work on my angel project. I figured you were actually making some sort of peace offering, or you wouldn't be going to all that trouble.

I also determined that what had gotten you on the greased pig rampage (complete with pictures) was I had said something like, "I know you know what I mean." So, I apologized for being short with you on that, which I could see I had been. And then you apologized for calling me a greased pig.

I had my angel pretty well finished, by this time, so I sent you one "as a peace offering," and we parted on a friendly basis.

I saw that you had continued lambasting me in that thread, but I wrote it off. At least we managed to achieve something in game, and you probably wrote that additional post before we talked.

YET HERE YOU ARE AGAIN. Can't resist joining in on the fray.

You dare criticize my behavior and yet you behave like this!

Don't you dare come to me in the game again either, and waste my time there.

If I had a nickle for all the people on these forums who claim to be my worst enemy, who say I'm lower than pond scum, who shout from the highest rooftops that I'm the kind of person they would never want to get to know - yet message ME in the game!!!! - I could buy, oh - at least a hundred Lindens, lol.

Certain sorts even make fabulous dietary suppliments. The blue-green pond scum commonly known as "spirulina" - Arthrospira platensis - was a cornerstone of the Aztec's diet. It's even the species that makes the flamingo's plumage pink!

So, let's lift a glass of spriulina in orange juice to pond scum, that most flexible and nutritious single celled organism!

*sip*

Ohhh, that's really disgusting.

My exact quote in game to you was "You better hurry if you want post in that thread before it's closed." I tried to explain in simple language that your writing style presented opinions as facts - leading to many of our disagreements. Also, that since you kept saying that "we knew what you meant" as opposed to what you said... and that since at least 3 people had seperately posted that they didn't.... well perhaps we didn't know what you meant... only what you said?

I actually did feel bad about calling you a greased pig, not because I think your behavior doesn't equate with the attention-getting behavior that the "wrestling with a greased pig" cliche underlines. I felt bad for myself - because I allowed myself to be drawn into acting in a way which I prefer not to.

I have tried to remain constructively engaged in your threads, but I find the desire to beat you with a hammer to be sometimes overwelming. Since I don't care to feel that way about anyone, I think the best solution is to mute you here. I've never muted anyone before, but I don't see any reason to continue inflicting such negativity on myself for so little reward in information or ideas.

Have a nice holiday and good luck.

Well, good, Surreal. I don't have any overwhelming desires to beat you or anyone with a hammer, so you're ignoring me will completely solve our problem.

So this is lost. Any way for me to get to know any of you is lost and gone, but I say it is through you, not me, because I have made approaches, made peace offerings, etc. Then get hit with more insults.

That is all over now.

WTF? You've never done any of that.. what utter crap - not once have you approached me in world - nor even on these forums.. I would say a good 90% of all correspondance between us has started with you (usually falsely) accusing me of saying something about you when I make frivilous remarks, comments on other posts, movie or song references, or even things that mean absolutely NOTHING..

Lets make this absolutely 100% crystal clear.. clear as an azure sky or a stream in the high mountains:

It is over because it never started - because you are not someone I wish to meet in world or out of world - you are not someone who's opinons I share - or even respect.
You opinions of me mean absolutely nothing to me - good bad or indifferent.
I do not care if your little feelings are hurt.
I do not care what you do in real life.
I do not care one way or another about any or all slights, maligns, or injustices - real or imagined - perpetrated on you in world, these forums, another blog, or real life.

You simply don't matter to me - you never have and you never will.

Ok are we absolutely full bottle on this now? I want you to refer to this post each and every time you feel like saying how you tried or will try to know and understand me.

Ok? To me you are so much typed words in the aether and very little else.

Merry Xmas.

Siggy.

1> if work is put out for public consumption, it is open to a free for all of public criticism/opinion. as far as coco's worthless angels are concerned, she made them a topic of public contention by posting about them in the general forum.

2> one does not need to be skilled in the art to be entitled to an opinion. if skill becomes a prerequisite, does it mean you are going to STFU?

3> this thread is not about coco's angels or my building ability. this thread is about LL allowing just anyone to make content.

4> now you have seen some of my work. what happened to the critiqque?

coco, if there was a zero star rating, i might still rate your angels one star. where do you sell them? i want to make a gallery of SL's most overrated or mediocre content.

I don't understand how a bunch of smart people like this can be so insistent on going out of their way to spend their energy being as mean, petty, and nasty as possible.

I gave your work (the castle) a critique, Jauani - did you not read this thread carefully?

Only an idiot would not know what you are up to with this thread, given the other thread. If you were serious about limiting content creation to certain individuals, then you are truly off the wall. And you aren't, so you aren't.

I did NOT make my angels a matter of "public contention" by mentioning them in general. The matter I was bringing up for discussion was the stars rating system of the Classified forums. Hence the title of the thread: "Down with the Stars ..." whatever.

My angels are not "worthless." You just can't stop insulting; it's all you care about. I call that worthless, and low. So low it's hard to believe an actual human stoops so low, and so often and so consistently.

I was hoping this worthless thread was finished. But since it isn't, and since you have returned from wherever you were for the last day or two, I do have another question. I saw your castle (that is, the picture of it; I haven't been to visit it yet), which I critiqued above, and I also saw LoLo's.

My question is, do you make things to sell them? That is, did you sell the castle, and the LoLo's shop? Or do you just make things for the pleasure of it, or as favors to friends? Or on contract to individuals for one-of-a-kind things? That might explain why I haven't run into any. And do you ever advertise your works for sale in the Classified forums?

You know, it wouldn't matter what I made, or who bought it, or who liked it, or how useful and/or aesthetically pleasing anyone thought it. The plain fact of the matter is if I make it, you trash it. Every opportunity you get. I'm still wondering who died and made you Arbitrer of All Taste.
