Yup, by wanting to know why they've been treated specially you are, by default, feeling an afront to your percieved entitlement just by raising it. If you didn't feel like somebody was getting something you weren't, why would you raise it in the first place?

Did Lewis say that he himself was quitting? No.

Again, companies do things all the time to promote themselves and increase their business. If LL decided, as part of a promotional campaign that they wanted to reach out to some niche community as an experiment, that is their right to do so. It is their company, not yours - you are simply a customer. You have zero say in their marketing/business practices. The only thing you can speak with is your voice here, and your wallet.

First thing I thought of when I seen the name was the song by INXS called Suicide Blonde, and if you know the lyrics it fits the girls...but they are not all Blonde, so maybe they decided on Girls?

*when I first seen someone refer to them as SG (super group) I thought we were in a COH (City of Heroes) discussion...lol*

But there is absolutely no mistake in what is transpiring in that scene. Is that what you consider entertaining... so much so you're inspired by that??? Help me to see past what I consider a bit of hypocrisy here. Is this a movie you'd show your (under 1 children? A movie you might suggest for a church fundraising activity?

It's none of my business why they're here. And I spoke with one earlier out of curiousity - she didn't mention the website or "sweet talk" me or any such thing. So to answer your question: No. More interesting to me is this question: Are you so weak-willed that you couldn't resist an offer like that you vividly imagine?



To repeat: is this too much a temptation for you? I ask because I have no intention of signing up. However, I'd be more than happy to chat with any of them and get to know them as individual human beings. I try not to pass judgement on others. Furthermore, I tend to believe that a truly devout Christian should be more hesitant to pass judgement on others.

We don't know that. All we know right now is that there has been some level of communication between two business entities. That communication apparently doesn't rise to the level of "promotion" and I can see how that might be true. Making assumptions and restating them as facts is like claiming a movie is blasphemous without seeing it.

Personally, I'm trying to figure out if you'd feel comfortable watching "Revenge of the Nerds" with Mother Theresa. If the answer to that is "No", then if I were you, I'd resolve my personal issues before broadcasting my feelings on this topic.

I would like to know whether it ever crossed anyone's mind at LL that this 'business venture' might not go down well with the playerbase.

It seems clear that there are just a few distinct groups within this debate:

1) Those who object to the concept of partnering a porn site.
2) Those who pull the "freedom of speech" card against anyone who stands up for what they believe but don't actually care specifically about the issue being discussed.
3) Those who argue just for the sake of it.

I've not actually seen anyone say anything in support of the SG yet. You need to get Wilder over here to try and explain this deal, because there is a lot of potentially unnecessary debate that an official statement could clear up.

Or are LL afraid that if the truth gets out, the whole thing will become an even bigger argument?

Again, have you never ever noticed the sexual side of Second Life? It has all kinds of niche communities, many of them quite sexual. I would like to know where you get the idea that those who enjoy porn have to be some kind of sex fanatics. Suicide Girls is not my thing as I like my women more ethnic and voluptuous, but I have nothing against them. I get that porn is not your thing, and that's cool - but you are in no posiiton to judge those who do enjoy it either.

PS - may I suggest LL perhaps partnering with a MILF site? I would love to see Milf as a last name There would be a nice demographic.

I find it very telling that you did not include "Those who have no problem with LL partnering with a porn site and support it". You want people to respect your objections to it, but it is clear you don't respect those who support it.
