BTW, I wear tighty-whities, thanks.

That's bad for the twins... you should really wear boxers and let them frolic around a bit. ;)

Don't get your panties in a wad! She made no such inference. It's over-sensitivity on your part. On the other hand I'm always peeved when women start defining what "a real man" is. If you're not a man-you've got no business trying to define one. You can discuss your ideal man....but don't attempt to define a real man.

-Kiamat Dusk

The inference was that any bisexual or gay man was not a 'real' man. You could argue why she holds that view, but I'm willing to bet it's because she thinks every gay man runs around the house looking like Liberace while singing along to YMCA. Let me tell ya, that just doesn't happen - unless it's a gag or you're really, REALLY drunk.

Would you hold the same view if instead of 'gay or bisexual or whatever' it was 'black or latin or whatever'?

To each, their own. That's the mantra I live by. World is full of all sorts, and it's a good thing. It'd be awful dull if everybody acted and thought the same way as everybody else.

Orientation is a poor indicator of a person's character. Heck, one of the best men I know in SL is gay. It's an honor to count him among my friends.

As for being a good man, apparently my wife thinks I am. But she's a saint, for putting up with me. :)

To me Elinea is the perfect match for a gorean man ... but that's just the humble opinion of a not too real man ;)

and for the record I am straight but still not a real man in Elinea's opinion ... I am proud to be able to show my emotions, cry when I'm sad, laugh when I'm happy, be romantic when I want to and above all I am able of discussing on anything and everything with a girl without having to immediatly get in her pants :p

I've got to wonder... is the OP a real woman? Maybe that's why the real men are avoiding her.

Whoa whoa little boy watch where you swing that sharp tongue of yours, someone might get hurt. ;) Let me takes this one at a time to make sure that we perfectly understand each other and are not having a mistake and communication.

1. Ok your gay i get that. I disagree and disaprove with your decision but it is your decision and this being a free country you have every right to be gay.

2. My description of a real man is how i choose to define what a real man is in my book. Ones again it is my decision/opinion and I really do not care whether or not you agree with. Like you being gay is your decision well I choose to define my ideal man as being straight.

3. As stated above stright man=real man is my taste in men. I am certain that many other people in SL would disagree with this taste but thats their business. As for me I like them straight.

4. I am proud of the fact that i stick to my beliefs and opinions and that i will not compromise my values to they way that others would have me do so. My comments are not anymore bigotted then me saying that I prefer white men over black men. Its my taste.

*sigh* it seems that this thread is not fulfilling its intended purpose but hey I dont mind a friendly dialogue on controversial issues.

Oh, you're looking for strong straight men? Try Gor.

Maybe I can ask one of them to gag you to spare the rest of us.

I'm delighted to meet another straight person who sees that gays *choose* their lifestye. I can't imagine a more joyful lifestyle than being hurt, mocked and persecuted by morons who can't accept that your lifestyle choice is valid and certainly not something to put down or assume can be "cured."

Why, I often regret when I myself was a lad and decided I was totally into the ladies, because if there's one thing I love, it's choosing to be hated by everyone and being absolutely unhappy with my own lifestyle "choice" due to social persecution.\

Curse you, damned choice! Ah, IF ONLY I too could be mocked by my friends when I admit who I am and hated by society, hassled by the religious and the wingnuts, denied equal rights, etc. *wipes a tear from his eye*

Keep on rockin' SL with THE TRUTH, I'm right behind ya!

... I believe a real man stands up for his beliefs and respects the wonders that life has to offer. A real man cooks and does laundry and doesn't give a rat's ass if his buddies give him a hard time about it. A real man isn't afraid to be in touch with his emotions, allows himself to become emotionally invested in others and even cries.

I have two boys and find the statement above worth printing and sharing with them.

Juro; you are truly a "real man" in my book.

Yeah I pretty much meant what I said. I like my men straight like an arrow that can pierce my heart. He he

Anyway yes I am avaliable and yes I do have high standards.

Also I really dont care if I offended you. If you are gay and get upset because someone calls you gay then maybe you need to re-examine yourself. If you are gonna be something then be it and be proud of it dang it. Dont try to lie to yourself. Me Im straight and proud of it. That doesnt mean that I go around dissing gay people but if I see a rock I call it a rock.

On the strength of this posting alone, I can say that you will not find what you seek.

However, it might be that what you really seek is not what you think you do.

The only thing that gets to me is, guys start out so nice and I like talking to them. Suddenly (It happens everytime) I get teleported the their favorite location with certain pose balls all over. Usually I stand there silently waiting for him to say something. And 9 outta 10 times, its "So?".
Just because im a girl showing social interest doesn't mean im looking to have cyber sex. Whats the deal with that? Is it because I have a 1st life picture up? The clothes im wearing (very sexy)? Or what!

Reread her original post, the inference is there plain as day in her first sentence. BTW, I wear tighty-whities, thanks.

I read her post and I still think you're being an oversensitive drama queen. She said she prefers white men, too-I don't see you going apoplectic about that! So if she doesn't date gay men-she's a bigot, but if she doesn't date black men, that's cool?! Maybe *you're* the one we should be branding with the Scarlet B.

Your first post was perfect. It was funny and got the point across.

Tighty whities? Tighty WHITIES!? Do you live in your mother's basement, too!? I think we need to get the Queer Eye crew in here, asap!

And, Elinea, where does that leave mulatto guys?

Not To Be Rude
05-25-2006 05:27
im not trying to be rude, but your coming into a fake world where most guys act like girls and theres girls acting like guys, and if u actually find a male being a male, hes probably 10 and used his dads credit card to get in mature sim. This probabyl isnt the best place to "meet" mature guys

Ummmm.....actually she did:

I've always thought it incredibly presumptuous of any woman to try and tell us what makes a "real man".

All your and Simon's responses (save his first one) are colored by the biases and prejudices you hold against straight people. Unless they come out waving the rainbow flag and advocating gay marriage, you assume that they are homophobes. What happened to the right to one's own opinion? What happened to agreeing to disagree?

I'm still wondering where the good women are.

I doubt I'm one, but that's because I think I'm loopy.
