Just a point here: This is a mix of Medieval language with Gorean custom. Never saw "m'lord" or "thee" in any of the Gorean novels. However, it could confuse a Gorean with odd language so...could work *grins* Ooohh.... I'll remember that next time! Not that I ah, ever just get in a mood and do terrible things with an alt. A friend of mine apparently had never heard of Goreans and knew nothing about them and wandered into one of their regions without seeing the warnings. When they asked her to leave, she made some smart ass remarks and since then there have been Goreans showing up and just staring at her and then sending her messages like "you've been marked and claimed." I explained about Goreans to her, but obviously someone has been pissed off. What should she do? Will they keep following her or were they just trying to put a scare into her? Quick advice needed. Thanks for your help. ok i LOOOOOOOOVE these types of "Masters" LAWL!! just move on, they can only do what they are doin now..which amounts to nothing. Goreans sims usually have signs and warnings posted, since they didn't they should get over it. ok what i posted before while although funny, was in poor taste. so a solution to her problem would be to point, laff then mute. _____________________

Ignore them. Tell them to piss off. Continue to mock them if they set one tiny tiny toe outside their little pocket realities. AR them mercilessly if they send a single harassing IM. Fully agreed with. It's Wrong, no matter Who you are to attempt to Impose your Role Play on others. These "Goreans" have gone WAY beyond the Framework of Roleplay and are Nothing more than griefers. Treat them as such. If they leave you alone, leave them alone. If they harass you, Mute, Boot, Ban, and AR and be sure to have as many Witnesses as possible do the same at the same time. Their Conduct would not have been acceptable behaviour within any of the Gorean groups, or sims to which i belonged, and they would have been Disciplined within the group, But a lot of things have Changed in Recent years, it's one of the reasons I've retired from those Communities. These people have no Honor. Angel. |

Goreans are the followers of a set of principles laid out in a long science fiction series of a Alien planet called Gor. The World is Male Dominated where many women serve as sex slaves. Norman claims this is natural since men are dominant over women. On SL the Gor sims are an attempt to make a Role Play World similar to the world described in Norman's books. The Quality of many Gorean's ability to do research from even fictional sources is a bit suspect. To Avoid them do not go to sims that call themselves "Gorean Sims" As far as I know most make it quite clear that they are Gorean Themed. To find them of course do the opposite. Go to Sims that call themselves "Gorean Sims" |
