Ok what is with these things i got banned from a place because i refused to apologize to a girl whose titler i changed as a joke which is their intention. Should i have apologized for making a joke that was harmless or what. What are others thoughts on these damn things.
Ok i now understand the reason I got banned for this thing...My friend went to solana and got banned because she made a complaint against charisse and Seems this girl has a stick up her ass and is power hungry.....people do not go to solana you will get banned for even standing around.
Ok funny how i make one little comment that everyone in that sim found funny and yes people laughed and now im getting called a he and a jerk wow seems everyone in here owes me an apology now, thanks to those who know not to take things so seriously and to those others who insist on being jerks themselves i think you should realize that your insulting me even more so then i insulted the wearer. People grow up its just a titler i wasnt upset about the damn banning i was upset because i dont feel i have to apologize to someone who wore an EVIL Titler and then got mad when someone called them out on it. I would never apologize considering what i said was not even half as bad as some titlers i have seen. Plus im more likely to apologize to the person who i insulted if they had come to me and asked for an apology instead of running to her mummy when she got upset. I dont cater to whiny brats. you wear it you deal with the things people will say or take the damn thing off.

It depends on whether the joke was funny, was it abusive?
The people wearing them are asking for trouble mind you.

I had to Search to figure out what's being referred to.
So....someone can attach one of these scriptballs to you without you knowing?

If you didn't want to get banned from the place you should have taken the action that would have kept you from getting banned. Since you didn't, one might conclude you valued modifying the titler more than you valued going back to that place.
It shouldn't be much trouble to script a titler such that only the wearer can change the text.

Apparently they felt you were out of line and needed to apologize -- your choice whether to comply or not and their choice to ban you if you don't comply.

Sounds like a greifer to me. I am sure they think all of their little stunts are amusing also.

The Evil Titler has to be the stupidest piece of crap - aside from Bloodlines of course A person chooses to wear it and then it gives others around the wearer the option to change the title and it can only be changed by another person- so while of course you should have apologized and changed it to something else- only an idiot would wear the thing and not expect some one will have a twisted sense of humor. As far as chat spam it's right up there with the Spank gesture and the ASCII stuff.

when you get the option to change the title, it says right in the chat that once it's changed, it cannot be changed again until the timer allows it.
so, if someone wears it, then they need to live with the consequences of what someone else types.
having said that - if you hurt someone's feelings, it's common courtesy to aplogize -especially if they tell you they want one. that's a DUH! you shouldn't even have to ask us, unless you're an asshat or something.

I see no reason to apologize. If you don't want a potentially offensive title, don't wear the stupid thing.

They are called evil titlers for a reason. If you can't take the evil, don't wear the titler.

From: Cristalle Karami I see no reason to apologize. If you don't want a potentially offensive title, don't wear the stupid thing. I second that. When I see the opportunity, the wearer winds up with: "I'm stuck with this stupid title because Phoenixa said it"

From: Phoenixa Sol When I see the opportunity, the wearer winds up with:
"I'm stuck with this stupid title because Phoenixa said it" Which I suppose they're thankful for instead of getting "Ask me about my tormenting rectal itch" or "Group Discounts Available". Although if I think about it, the places you'd wear the Evil Titler, that's pretty much the kind of thing you should expect.

"I have a rash. Don't ask where." ... Is the one I always use. =^-^=
Really... For it to truly be evil, it shouldn't credit the titler... It should just take the text and let the wearer deal with it. It's all voluntary anyway. There's always 'Detach'. (^_^)y

From: 3Ring Binder and reset. Most of the ones I've seen are worn by those that can't detach and/or reset. Using a viewer that does not allow that option. Annoying, they are, those titlers.

Life is full of disapointments when you cant spell. I thought this was a thread about Damien's new tickle/torture device. It's not as bad as the time I paid $50 to spend the night in a wharehouse tho ...

I wonder what would happen if you changed the "t" to an "H" in the title.

Evil titlers can be a lot of fun when worn in the right mood at the right places. As anybody can set them to display anything, it can also be a source of grief sometimes. It all dependson the sense of humour of the setter and the mood of the wearer.
But the act of setting it with an insulting text is no different than insulting the wearer directly. As far as I know the titler does not say "give me a very nasty and humiliating title".
And don't get me started on "she's wearing it so she must want it". It's the same as saying "she's wearing a short skirt so she must want the guys to take a peek underneath"
Sheesh. That kind of things makes me upset. And to answer to the OP, yes you should have apologised. That's the least of the courtesies. But courtesy was not really the point, since she probably wanted to be insulted, right ?

From: Lexxi Gynoid Most of the ones I've seen are worn by those that can't detach and/or reset. Using a viewer that does not allow that option. On the one hand: it's their choice to use that viewer. On the other hand: if someone asks for an apology, it doesn't hurt to say "I'm sorry, I didn't realize that would offend you". On the gripping hand: the OP volunteered to be banned by acting like a jerk.

So... It's bad to put an evil title in an evil titler? (O_o)
Advice: If you're prone to being butthurt, don't run around asking for spankings. (=_=)
