Green rabbits? Warning - possibly NSFW!

Pep (It's what happened when I typed "green rabbits" into Google!)

I already know where you're going with that and don't even need to look it up.

Teatime, behave all :-)

By the way, Pep....I ran into your old friend Blyss Burton, the other day.....and she's sorry that she can't make it in to complete the "definition"......but she sure would like to....

As Strife as said earlier in the thread, some people just don't want to be enlightened.

Pep (I hope you remain happy wallowing in your ignorance.)

As you said....Enlightenment is so very important. :)

Funny you should say that - she apologised to me when I saw her a couple of weeks ago.

Pep (and I accepted her apology; we're good now.)

Thanks Benski, when it is essential to go outside at this time of year I do already take NeoClarityn (and have been for the last five years or so since it came out) which is the same drug (Desloratadine) under a different branding as Aerius. Although it is probably the best one currently available, despite the promises of second-generation anti-histamines it still makes me a little tired, nauseous and headachy without giving me 100% confidence about going out in the sun and grass, which irritates my eyes intensely.

Pep (The best approach I have found during this time, which correspondingly seems to irritate my wife intensely, is to stay in airconditioned darkened rooms with TV and computer screens the only illumination. :D )

None of that will work - take your self to the seaside and get to the end of a long pier.

Hi Deira, how ya doin? This thread is great for catching up on people innit? And there's actually a built-in grumpy. Like I said yesterday, despite his denials I am sure he IS my grammar teacher and I bet he married Matron.
Actually, I may be wrong on THAT score coz "our" Matron was lovely and 28 so I doubt very much if this old sod did anything of the sort.
I haven't heard that "take a long walk of a short pier" since yonks.
But I love ways people get all serious and mushy about him and say what a wonderful bloke he is when they meet him. It's like "ooo NO. He's wonderferful! He can say what he likes coz he makes me chortle at brekkie over my ham n'eggs."
Wait till he replies - probably get all snotty over something we've said. He drove a VW Bug of all things. I bet this Pep drives one too so its bound to be him. Pep and his Bug.
And I reckon that Benny is really sweet coz he sounds so serious and Danish about everything.

Hiya Jig - I've been to the seaside today and never had so much as a sniff of hay fever all the time I was there. Came home - made the mistake of driving (window down) past a field of ripening oil seed rape, and now I'm streaming. :(

Hey Deira, Still in the tail end of the massive rainy few days we have had on this coast. I am "playing" with growing tomatoes and have had to build a kinda greenhouse "fort" with plastic sheeting. Ocean is grey and choppy. Sea fog is lifting slightly. I sound like a "Shipping Forecast" announcer - "A low just off Greenland is losing its identity."
Must go. Jiggy.

Hmm me too.

You may have a dust mite allergy, then, as well. AC stops them breeding as quickly.

Hismanal worked wonders for me but then they took it off the market. Doctors could not be bothered to read the contra indications and side effects it seems, and kept prescribing it to heart patients on certain other meds. Mixed with that specific pill it caused cardiac arrest.

Shoddiness and ignorance triumphs again...

(Ma Huang worked too but that's a form of ephedrine, of course taken off the market as well. Nowadays...air con and caffeine does the job almost adequately.)

Nah, at Arielyn's wedding Pep himself bumped into her main, who explained how she had been largely provoked into what she had done by a third party. ;)

Pep (She also specifically mentioned that she hadn't spoken to you for several months. :p )

I am just sensitive I guess *waves wrist limply*. :p

I reckon myself pretty lucky actually, considering that my brother, who is a GP, recommended Triludan back in the day when he *knew* I drank lots of grapefruit juice - a combination which is strongly contraindicated . . .

Pep ( . . . and was known to be fatal in some cases! )

On the happy pills again Jig? ;) I am afraid that your obviously romanticised recollection of your schoolgirl crush does not resemble me at all. And I do drive a German car, but it's a beemer.

Yikes!

Yes, grapefruit juice raises the level of cytochrome, I believe (a liver enzyme). This makes the liver burn through the dosage faster.

For people like me who actually have an inadequacy in Cytochrome P450, grapefruit juice might help *avoid* side effects. Having too little of this same enzyme can result in extremely raised potency in the dosage, therefore the side effects also. Many pills use that pathway, from antibiotics to anti-depressants. Most pills are calibrated to that imaginary "norm" - I wonder how many bad reactions could be avoided if that were not so.

A cytochrome P450 test should be absolutely standard but most doctors have not even heard of it.

PS (sensitivity) reminds me of Proust...the guy, not his work. He had severe allergies and mostly stayed in.

Mind you, my brother thought I had cyrrhosis of the liver, but when he did the tests he found out that he was further down that road than I was, which gives an indication of my (lack of) respect for the medical profession. It isn't helped by my wife (who is a nurse) believing that drinking enough water cures *everything*, which has probably been indoctrinated into her by the bankrupt British National Health Service.

Pep (And they didn't even have Sky Sports in Proust's day! Ah, the ennui . . .)

True, poor Proust. What *would* he do with his time? :)

There's something called Gilbert syndrome too which basically translates to 'sluggish liver' - it's genetic.

I join you in your general opinion of the medical profession. I've met one or two worth the suffix - that isn't many.

TLDR

I always thought "pep" was an acronym like "op" that was used to specify a given group of people that posted in the thread, lol

I will never claim to be good in english. But for me it is sufficient. I know that writing english is harder than talking.

Erg slecht = Very bad. First time I hear somebody word it that way. Luckely for me, most people think otherwise.

otherwise I would've left the forums already :)

You should be behind wheel of a customized restored Citroen. So much more elan.
I know Dutch have fjords and Danes have errr ... Elsinore?
No, that can't be right.
Someone has canals - or is that Rome?
Or can it? Happy pill time, I guess.
AND my old - I stress OLD - prep teacher used that same expression - really did. Next you're gonna be typing "Jig has talents but they are not in the area of this discipline."
