From: Deira Llanfair No, I mean on TV. I think it will be Federer. Just watched the weather forecast and storms are a commin' - they reckon Glastonbury could be a wash out, and I was thinking of going there. When doesn't it rain for Glastonbury? To Laurin: see my posting above. To Pep: Thanks for letting me use your "phone".

From: Mickey Vandeverre No Lies. I've never met Arielyn, and I was not at that wedding. And I didn't mind sacrificing my alt in your ego boosting thread, so that any woman out there can get a glimpse of what happens when you try to be nice to Pep. It's not like I've been able to use her much, after you caused so much havoc for her. She was disposable....the ladies in this thread are not. Just consider it a public service announcement to the ladies. And perfectly on topic, I might add. I am so lost right now. /me goes back to adjusting tiara.

Are you ever inworld? or is Cato just for the forums?
. Just the forums although if they get canned I might go chasing kid avatars in that adult only place. Why do you want to know. Surely I am not your type.

From: Cato Badger Nah, it's a way of pointing out your own inadequacies. If you consider the highlighting of defective communication as insults, and lack the insight and sense of proportion not to over-react, then it is not just me that you are amusing, but most of the intelligentsia of the forums, whether they post or just lurk. Pep (Don't give up your day job and start up as a psychologist either; although they are mostly crackpots themselves, they don't usually get their personality analysis as wrong as you have. ) How is it amusing though? This is what I don't understand. You talk as though Pep ruined my morning or something, when really he just insulted someone because they are not native english, and called some people stupid. Pardon me for not seeing the hilarity you two do, but maybe you'd like to share the joke? Enlighten me. Otherwise people are gonna continue to think you two crackers are just small time griefers circle-jerking each other.

Have you got confused by Cato's pretty basic "identity theft" as well? Pep (Another perfect example of not reading posts accurately! ) PS You had the it's punctuation right first time. Change it back quick, before anyone notices.

I didn't insult anyone because they are ESLers. I criticised the arrogance and ignorance of those (whatever their mother tongue) who don't take sufficient care in preparing their posts. From: Pserendipity Daniels No, *most* people are just too polite to tell you the truth, and probably ignore your posts. No, *most* people aren't anal-retentive enough to bother pointing out the trivial, and more than intelligent enough to figure out what was meant from what was given. so ARE you Cato/Pep, or aren't you? /me doesn't know whether to laugh or cry at the widespread paranoia and gullibility of a considerable number of forumites . . . Pep ( . . . but on balance, laughs! ) PS Just realised that was ambiguous, so for the purposes of clarity: No, I am not Cato.

From: Pserendipity Daniels I recognise that, but I don't go annoying native Dutch speakers by posting garbled nonsense on Dutch forums. I'm certain that it would have absolutely nothing to do with your command of Dutch as a language. From: someone I agree that SL inworld might be, if you find the right sympathetic crowd, but these forums are *not* the place to obtain free language lessons. I have already offered to provide private lessons at commercial rates . . . . They are the *perfect* place to practice, even with the presence of forum trolls such as yourself. It wouldn't be a well-rounded experience otherwise, would it? From: someone Pep ( . . . but for some reason no-one has seemed inclined to take up my offer. ) I wonder why... no, scratch that; I don't. Sensible people don't pay to be abused (unlike in certain Monty Python sketches).

From: Jig Chippewa PS ARE there any "housewives" nowadays? Serious question. Yes, there are. I'd count myself as a part-time housewife (although definitely NOT sexually frustrated ). What that means is that I consider the work I do in the home to be at least as important as my other, more economic activities. When my kids were little, I stayed at home and spent time with them out of choice. I realise I am lucky to have had that option, although it did mean that by many people's standards we were "poor" (no car, holidays spent camping or staying with relatives, mostly charity shop clothes ...). Later, I took a full-time job and managed to make the whole household fairly miserable, including myself. After much discussion with the family, I gave up the job and now do bits and bobs of work for a fairly decent hourly rate, but my main focus is on the home (and I run a tight ship). We've never looked back It all depends on priorities ... Some people care more about earning money for material things - holidays, cars, expensive clothes ... others care more about being able to spend time with their family and having a low-stress home life. Being a housewife is not for everybody, but it IS a valid choice - try not to knock it. p.s. we're still fairly "poor".

TheRealPep (Some may think it amusing, some may consider it sad. ) You need to realise that not everybody takes this coffee break forum as seriously as you do. And that telling everyone how intelligent you are does not automatically mean people agree you are intelligent. In a public arena like this, it’s up to the community to establish the unwritten rules, not some crackpot in his ivory tower, claiming grammar is some valid currency that is valuable enough on its own to give his posts substance and set his stall out as some kind of authority here. But in all honesty, I don’t think even you believe your own hype. I think you think you are clever when you use the same old lines to sidetrack anyone who challenges the cartoon character you have made yourself into here. I also think you are gonna run with it for a long long time here, and never get bored of dotting peoples I’s and pointing out trivial mistakes - like that paperclip man that pops up in the corner of the screen and who everyone would turn off if they had the option. Either that or you are just a very persistent troll who got comfy here, but who isn’t hardcore enough to push his luck too hard and face the possibility of getting booted, but who still likes to occasionally peck at people nonetheless, and has a masochistic streak that loves the negative attention he inspires in people. Or all of those things rolled into one efficient package.
