Scram sweetheart, he belongs to another.

Nope, since the schism with Honeybear no-one has laid claim to my heart, mind nor body. :(

Surely when you talk of female, you mean me :)

You're not even a female.

Pep (Not implying that being female isn't a good thing of course. :p )

Now you know perfectly well that some folks will take that as a thrown gauntlet/challenge, and make it their second life's work to mend your broken heart. /me laughs, looks around for popcorn. (bet you're looking forward to fighting them off)

Aw Treasure, does that mean you are not rushing to reread your "Idiots Guide To Writing Love Letters"?

Pep (You could always send them from an alt if you are shy or embarrassed.)

If I'd been considering it, suggesting I needed the 'Idiot's Guide' would have taken care of any momentary urges.

Get out that pencil again, Treasure......there is only 1% of the female population left on this one....and that's being generous......:)

Pep (No, Strife is *not* my alt! :D )
Indeed, reading hir post, I am sure s/he is not. Either that, or your self-image is worse than it seems. Read more carefully, Pep ....

Unless, of course, you feel that being called a griefer who is not worthy of respect is a compliment. Oh, Strife grants that you are clever, and can manipulate a crowd. These are attributes shared by many griefers, and as Strife gently points out, it was hir role as moderator to protect those who were not in search of 'tough love' enlightenment from such as you. Strife, please feel free to correct me if I misread you ... sometimes the shadows on cave walls waver in the firelight :)

*shrugs* My judgment of you, Pep, is not so harsh, as I hope you know. And I run counter to the general feeling about your alts ... I hope you do have them, more than one. It would be toxic to oneself to relentlessly project only a negativity such as Pep's.

I might be inclined to agree with you in your ignorance, except that neither Strife nor any other ResMod nor Linden has had cause to take formal action to protect anyone from me, other than in the case of one high art concept photo of a dead cat which was "stealth-modded" just before I intended to delete it. Strife also recognises, as do my enlightened children, (even if no-one seems to have educated you yet) the difference between the person and his actions, with respect or any sort of moral judgment a non-absolute and ephemeral concept, gone as the flame illuminating such actions flickers and dies.

Griefer, troll, nuisance? All are merely labels occasionally employed to describe those who follow the cliche of "If you can't say anything nice . . . " with "at least be honest" rather than the non-constructive whitewash of silent cowardly criticism. I consider that Strife both endorses and indicts me; there is no simple bad and good; life is much more complex than that.

If you perceive only negativity from Pep then perhaps your mind is more closed than you realise, or perhaps your grasp of my language is not as complete as you believe it is. Any alts that Pep may have (and I have to say that I wallow in schadenfreude at the revealed paranoia of others who seem to perceive demons where there are none) are no less and no more negative than Pep.

Pep (But thank you for caring enough to pop your head above the battlements.)

Unfortunately, less than 1% would meet my standards, Mickey.

You're right, you probably have to dumb things down for me. I am indeed a simple creature, by design. I much prefer blindly wandering after simple pleasures (a working script, a pleasing phrase, a warm friend) to plumbing moral ambiguities. I think, in this, I am less alone than you.

It is, of course, a relief to know that the crudely mocking words you so freely dispense are not you massaging your ego, but signposts along the way of your selfless struggle to enlighten we poor mortals.

Pep, I am not gonna quote you or try to show any skills in english, just gonna tell you this.

The way you act here, you are putting people on the forum down, you degrade them in the way you attack their English language skills. It has nothing to do with if you are right or wrong, it's the way you say it.

To me that is nothing more than trying to feel better by making others 'appear' less than you. If you were truely interested in making me better in english, you would have done so in a polite manner to me, instead of comparing my intelligence level to that of a child.

Don't you get it? As long as you do it in your 'I am the god of English' way, people will resent you for that.

Personally I don't give a damn if I make a spelling error. As long as people clearly understand me, and honestly, you are the ONLY one complaining about my ability to explane myself in english. So what does that tell you?

That tells you that to me, and most folks out here, you are arrogant spellchecker that tries to put people down.

Now to me? that does not bother me any longer. I know my skills and I know where my talents lie and where not.

I will never be a language expert. So be it... I don't care.

But stop pretending as if inteligence is measured by how well you master a 2nd language. No I know you never said that, true, but you sure make it sound like that... think about that for a while... forget the grammar and the correctness on your answers but look how the way your answers are read by the 'general public' puts people down.

And... stop that... don't asume that I am of lesser intellegence than you just because you are better in english.

Omg ranting feels good every now and then :)

Ok back to my Pie :D

. . . [burble] it's the way you say it. [burble] . . .

The whole point is that because English is not your mother tongue you haven't a chance of understanding what I write except at the most basic of Abba-esque levels of interpretation of the words themselves.

So you get it wrong.

Pep (Don't feel too bad; quite a few EFLers don't get it either. ;) )

I did not mean your words, but your tone. You obviously get a kick out of putting people down.

Me personaly... I don't care anymore what one person thinks. Of all the thousands native english speaking people I have met in my life, you are the first and only one finding my english of such a low level to successfully communicate with me. So to me... That's funny :d

Besides, as you so nicely pointed out to me, English is not my native language, so why should I care about perfect spelling? And as for the decade of the english language... So what?

And as for my mother's tongue... Leave her out of it please :)

As Strife as said earlier in the thread, some people just don't want to be enlightened.
