What does pep mean?

I always though it stood for "peptic", a painful and acidic ulcer of sorts.

Actually, I stand in awe at pippy's gargantuan ego. Believing himself to be king of the world, he looks down upon the masses from some lonely promontory to dispense irrelevant advice to those who couldn't care less about it. Even the firmest kick in the pants has so far failed to dislodge him, which must be recognized as inspiring tenacity or, at least, a fascinating sort of mental condition worth serious study.

I highly recommend reading "A Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole. The similarity between the main character and Pep is boggling.

. . . and it is also a true acronym, standing for Pserendipity's Enhanced Profiles, my inworld business which offers a money-back guaranteed service to improve the profiles of those who have a particular need for more, or less attention, of the right sort. No-one has *ever* asked for their money back I am delighted to say and I have had massive successes!

What kind of dopus would need help with a ****** profile?

I thought a funnier version of this question was when someone asked, "Why does that man keep saying 'Pep'?"

I always assumed it was a sign of a personality disorder. Sort of like referring to yourself in the 3rd person. :)

Could you please elaborate on your "enhanced profile" service?

Does your money back guarantee cover the fact that the most charming and engaging profile will not work magic for someone completely lacking in social graces?

Or do you have a different theory?

Or do you offer an additional service of teaching charm and grace?

My service works both ways. It attracts those that it wants to attract, and acts as a significant deterrent to people like you, Porky, Brann . . . the list goes on . . . who lack a sense of humour to go with your semi-literacy in English. :p

Pep (My charm is apparently simply irresistible for those of sufficient intelligence; the forums are not deserving, in general, of any exhibition of it. )

PS I particularly liked that Briana suggested she was some sort of authority on social graces.

About 99% of the inhabitants of SL. You could do with some considerable assistance it appears.

Pep (Although it does reflect your character well; it is incoherent, self-indulgent and vain.)

I presume with your reading (in)ability you managed to find a comic book version.

Pep (Do you mean mind-boggling? I am afraid that in English we don't use the literary construction as you have written it. Is Google Translate acting up again?)

Who cares?

Pep is a little yapping dog who thinks he knows more than he really does.

My self-perception obviously pales into insignificance in comparison with the omnipotence of the 'Empress of the Universe'.

Oh! Careful Zuleika - remember this is about Pep. Best stick to the Greek form and spell it "amphetamine".

Pep (Franchising opportunities available for those with appropriate names and sense of humour, both of which apply to you. ;) )

Thank you kindly for the offer, but I think I will stick with my own unique doggie style, lest I get accused of being your alt. Besides, your presence in this thread that's about you seems to be engendering a great deal of hostility among the forumites for some reason.

Hey, now! What's wrong with little yapping dogs???

And I just popped in to offer what is obviously very necessary illumination.

Pep (the horse's mouth)

PS Not holding breath waiting for the suggested rejoinder to that parenthetical postscript.

The question is not "what does" but "why is".

Not that I'm interested in the answer; it just had to be said ;)

I'm scratching my head and wondering how mean I am because I think there was some truth to this:

From: Pserendipity Daniels
Since you ask . . .

. . . if people don't understand me then they should look inside themselves and take the time and the trouble to read my postings better; everything I say is considered and relevant, even if couched in language that might challenge the semi-literate. I *do* know what I am talking about, even if I have problems understanding the ill-considered meanderings of many others.

I just thought it was short for 'Peppercorn', or 'Pepperpot'. or 'You've been Pepperized' :-)

P(ee):p Seriously - does anybody now understand the *real* meaning of Pep?

I always thought it was just a short form for his full name.

Oh! You still don't know nothing! The Brooklyn Funk Essentials. Let me show U something!

And technically, it's not just him, that grammarless gal Ava has been "covering" him lately in a mistaken attempt at humor, signing with a P(ee)p.

From: Novis Dyrssen
There is nothing to google for yet because it has not been tested out, after all. If BM goes life, then we can talk.

I do hope you mean if BM goes "live"? *someone said *
And technically??? LOL- use google translator then! And while you are still googling for live and life others are already there in BM :) If you know more about life and live then we can talk. U know I want you happy :D

Now watch this! http://www.myvideo.de/watch/100822/Opus_Life_is_Life_1985

Back to the thread :)

Seriously - does anybody now understand the *real* meaning of Pep?

PS: remember; I change my forum postings like you change your underwear:
P(ee)p -(once a month)

PS PS: I am working on new BBC (British-Black-C***) - top stories :

1. Highly Recommended Book Title

P(ee)p (Old British humor made in Newcastle)

2. "Alt-ernative" Recommended Book Title

P(ee)p (How to enjoy yourself using two or more British-Black alt(er)natives)

spin (are you referring to the famous British black humour or to Black British people? In any case, LOL, you're funny in a sort of a way, I suppose. Hey, perhaps we should all sign off like this - there's always _something_ else we could add to our posts, isn't there?)
