Maybe that one incident took place, maybe it did not. Outside of being there, we have to wait for the Linden's to put something on the blotter (oh yeah, your Great Conspracy Theory, oops).

Anyway, one incident involving at least one noob does not an epidemic make.

There is a group with a private blog that posts the ARs they make. Of course it is against ToS to share that info in Second Life.
They also have a list of the places in SL that are for child avatar pedo play. The list is not a small one.

But to me, even the Gavin report on the 28th is enough to cause concern. These internet predators count on your apathy. And you do not disappoint.

If there were a rampant problem it could not be hidden, everyone would see it for themselves.

Take a look at other things LL has banned or, oh, restricted. Who on SL before each policy shift was not aware of the following things?

banks
gambling
ad farms
how open space sims were being used
adult content

Outside of people with a personal axe to grind I know of nobody that can cite multiple instances since 2007. Most not even one incident.

Adult Content currently has to be on adult land. Yet how many instances of it can you see in a PG or PG/mature search? That gives you an idea of how widespread that issue is.

A handfull of ARs does not an epidemic make. Most people seeing the problem does.

It actually would be all over the media, and I'm not talking about wannabe-journalists like on Fox or Sky but real, serious media. There would be lots of publicity allover the SL blogosphere. But nada.

Of course, this just is proof of HOW rampant and widespread this problem and the involved conspiracy are.

Hmm .... every time a person thinks about kids they think of sex and paedophilia ..... now let's think ....
