If they remove the ARs, how do you know there are hundreds of reports?

There is a group with a private blog that posts the ARs they make. Of course it is against ToS to share that info in Second Life.
They also have a list of the places in SL that are for child avatar pedo play. The list is not a small one.

But to me, even the Gavin report on the 28th is enough to cause concern. These internet predators count on your apathy. And you do not disappoint.

Where did this come from??? Its accepted by most people that a linden tree is neither PG, Mature or Adult. Its just a tree.

I do not have to prove it. I am discussing an issue that I know exists. If you feel it does not exists - then refrain from discussing it. You leaving the thread will not silence it.
Someone made a program that catches key words from the incidence reports and counts the reports by type (not a hard task).

so people on a blog report their ar's...and how do you verify that the info is true...not bogus trumped up AR's that we all know can happen, but true events with real children.

We were looking in the future to when LL bans masquerading as a child in SL. We were looking at what criteria would be used to determine who would be breaking the ban.

Just some brain storming on developing the language around such a rule.

Not real children - Pedo play between an adult masquerading as a child and a adult using an adult avatar.

One of them checks to see if some avatars disappear from the resident list after a AR - when they do he notes that. Another one ARs the pedo places and watches for closings and notates that.

They have like a family tree of pedophilia banned avatars and their alts all the way back to 2004.

Even the Arbor Project people were getting suspended when fighting the good fight against adfarming. If these folks start publishing names then they effectively 'out' themselves and loose access to activities and data.

I asked them why didn't they just make the blog public and embarrass the people into going away. They said that did not work with Wonderland - they just all alted and continued. So they would rather stay underground and continue reporting to Linden Lab.

In the 75 pages of this thread there has been no evidence presented that would convince an objective reader that sexual ageplay is a significant problem in Second Life.

Then why don't you just skim through it as it progresses and stop posting in it? It is not productive for you to do so.

interesting process...it still leaves quite a bit of room for doubting that real adult pedophiles and children are interacting, so in terms of proving pedophilia it appears weak to me. but i will say that the tracking and monitoring at least shows me that there is some sort of data weak as it is. still assigning cause and effect to these stats is a bigggg stretch since we dont have real life data on those involved or even a real resolution assigned by sl.

if the stats are just noting who goes poof from sl there could be mannnny reasons for that which are not that LL has booted them. i would guess that some might lose interest in sl or even just change avs if they feel unduly harrasssed for no reason as we can see happens often by viewing other forum threads out there today.

my scepticism comes from having to deal with issues pf pedophilia in real life and having to provide real life proof and documentation of inproprieties according to real life laws. tbh, if i had submited such loose data, any of my cases would have been thrown out in a heart beat.

But Linden Lab can just punch in a UUID and see what that avatar did for the last 24 hours or so. So they are in a better position to confirm any reports than we are.
Because I am not in that group and they do not want to be outed. I just think it is terrible that these people have to spend their time on this for years when LL could just ban child avatars and cut the incidents down to half in one day.

When I was complaining about that nude beach that sells child avatars the activists contacted me and showed me their data - I was disgusted with humanity.

i completely agree that LL is really the ONLY group in a position to make any judgements about the incidents, including who is involved, their ages etc. i believe that the people who have shown you data are probably sincere in trying to do something noble but tbh, i think their stats are so skewed from what you are telling me and id really suggest that anyone looking at them takes them with a major dose of scepticism as well.

im sure you know lias that data can be skewed to reflect the desired outcome. without the actual ages of those involved, i could not say that any of this was true pedophilia. i do believe there is age play and a desire for age play in sl. but taking things from that to actual pedophilia is a verrrry big leap. then to take the fact that there are child avatars in sl and making that into the reason for ANY pedophilia to be in sl, just really does not
compute.

lias, please dont let people snow you into believing their data....im sure it can be upsetting and inflammatory to see their data, but really examine it with a clear and logical mind. to prove REAL life pedophilia is a very very serious claim and not one to be judged from sl events like whether an av or location goes poof.

ps...if any of this group you are referring to are affiliated with the real life group, perverted justice...just know that most of their data gets thrown out in rl because alot of it is trumped up.

Do you even read what you write, Lias? You expect anyone to take you seriously when you flat out say that you somehow know the issue exists... although you don't need to prove it... and cannot provide any support for your claim... but yet anyone who believes differently should shut up?
