No they haven't. Remember the child avatar ban of SL5B and then of course the CS sanctions in effect right now. That does not translate into much support.

I suck and finding stuff from ancient history so maybe someone can find the stuff from back then. But I distinctly remember several Lindens specifically saying there was nothing wrong about kid AVs.

A few people were involved in ageplay at one time. LL gave them the boot and said that was not acceptable. The rest of the child avatar was not interested in ageplay anyway so was not troubled at all by the rule.

A sanction is something enforced as a punitive measure. You are talking about a rule which the targeted population had no intention of breaking anyway.

Darkness - now cut and paste that in all the threads about Linden Lab policy currently active in this forum. I am sure your 'suggestion' would be greeted with the same amount of enthusiasm as it is here.

LL targeted a rule to one specific population because they do not break that rule. Yeah, OK.

And the rule that no one breaks was broken on Sept 18th because (according to Immy) the rule is not made available for the pedo players to see so they did not know it was a rule.

one incident that i saw posted on a forum does not imply a rampant threat. so we really know with RL info that the person who said they were under age really was in that case?

When adults feel images posted in a PG Forum are broadly offensive - you just behave like a 'child' and tell them to get over it.

The only wrongdoing that can be attributed to the resident with the child avatar is that they were underage and should have been on the Teen Grid.

So far you have presented absolutely no evidence that sexual ageplay is a problem to ANY degree on the grid, muchless a widespread problem. NONE.

If there is evidence that it is a still an issue and Linden Lab needs to reexamine the policy disallowing ageplay, please present it.

In the absence of such evidence, the only conclusion an objective observer can draw is that the current policy is working.

With over 100,000 people in SL, yes there are going to be some pedeos in the population. But statistically, it doesn't happen. One case does not prove anything.

Linden Lab removes all ARs on pedophilia from the police blotter before it is published for public scrutiny. To LL this sort of thing is the worst activity they can admit to harboring.
Linden Lab has hundreds of reports of virtual pedo play (ageplay is a BDSM term and has nothing to do with pedophilia).
Immy said the policy failed on the 18th because the pedophile was not aware of the policy. Ignorance IS a defense.

lias...there are quite a number of folks in this thread who have also asked you for any additional and real evidence you have...it is not my inability to understand a second hand description of an event here that is at issue...it is your refusal to provide anyone here ANY information of a concrete nature...no real life data, no sl data, no other witnesses, no other incidents, and on and on.

you must think people in these forums are stupid or that they are sheep, but everyone here thinks for themselves. in rl i would also not take the word of one person about an incident that they did not participate in as gospel. if you do, then i question your ability to discern fact from heresay. if you base your beliefs on one incident of heresay, then you are in fact the one who refuses to use reasonable logic to make your decisions.
