The kids I know have simply not gone to Zindra so there's no confusion or "accidental proximity" for which rabid proponents of SLKid avocide eagerly await with their finger on the AR button.

If you are RPing as a child - why did you adult verify? This makes it possible for you to be in Adult areas 'by mistake'. Better safe than sorry. Or just 'ooops - I had my child AV on and my friend thought it would be funny to teleport me to a orgy'.

If I played a child avatar I would absolutely adult verify as some sort of proactive defense against against bogus underage ARs.

Long long ago there was TP glitch that would litterally send you out into the void...nothing but water anywhere and no way to fly back in.

I don't know about him, but I'm PIOF/PIU, which is also used for the age verification. simply came from when I joined and from buying land.

BUt don't you have to physically go through the adult verification process and use the correct viewer to get access to adult content?

I am saying that if your friends are not aware your going around as a child or you crash and end up in ZINDRA - why take that chance by adult verifying?

You also, of course, need to go through the adult verification process to get access to any private island flagged as Adult. That means, for example, any child avatar wanting to visit a friend on all bar one of my residential sims needs to be adult verified, not because the residents are in the habit of staging public orgies but because that's the only way they (and I) don't need to worry about constraints on their behaviour other than the ones I imposed they accepted when they bought or rented the land from me.

For example, a very good friend of mine who spends most of his time as a child avatar for reasons that seem good to him, and whom I let use a building platform on one of my sims, needs to be adult verified.

If you have payment info used you are verified (as far as Zindra goes).

*nods* Yep. Just the other day, I was all set to work on a dress, and logged into SL. I found myself at a PG infohub. I was dressed, but I felt really sorry for the poor sots that wound up there nude. Did I mention that because so many of us wound up there is was lagging bad enough that you couldn't change clothing?

Some better coding could be done. Like, "If the region you were last in is down, you'll log into your home. If your home is down, you'll log into the sim nearest your home sim. If that fails, the infohub nearest your home sim." Note, the word, "nearest." Preferably on the same continent as your home.

No. You can access the Zindra content by either Aristotle age verification, Payment Info On File, or Payment Info Used. So by using your payment info you are automatically age verified under the current system.

Hmm.. didn't think of that. It'd eliminate the whole violation of PG/Mature/Adult that they now have going on. If I didn't already know that LL never has the tools they need before they implement new rules/policies/stupidity, I'd be completely disgusted. As it is, I've gone past disgusted and into bemused.

Can you AR a child avatar if in a mature sim?

A child avatar can't even be ARed in an adult sim, unless she or he is intentionally in the proximity of adult content, or engaged in adult behaviours. Kids are allowed on Zindra.

You know, the only experience I have had with child avatars are from the ones who come into my shop during hunts, most are nice and dont go all childspeak on me and freakme out even more and a few I just found so cute I kinda bent a bit to he whole child AV kinda thing... I do not have anything overly adult in my shop so I dont care if they are there and I watch to make sure they do not use the few poseballs I do have... However I did have once incident with a child avatar wanting to use a blodlines on me... eww... in a children store to boot.... "shrug" and I do not allow them at carpe vino. furries oh yeah... but no child It makes people uncomfortable and they leave.

I always have found that the only infohubs I end up in are the ones my accounts were born in, are new residents being born in Zindra?

They would have had to have been verified to do so I imagine, or set it as home?
